About the Role:

The San Francisco Giants are looking for an Arizona League Hitting Coach, where you will have the unique opportunity to develop the offensive skills of Giants’ hitters year round. You will work closely with the Giants Player Development Department and lead players to exceed their potential. You will be expected to communicate and remain on the leading edge of player development. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate with players and staff, teach current offensive training techniques, and create unique and challenging training environments that drive performance.

  • You will serve as the hitting coach for one of the Giants’ Arizona League affiliates
  • You will work with analysts and sport scientists to provide performance monitoring and on field applications of the research and development process at their complex
  • You will use available technology and staffing resources to evaluate, analyze, and improve players that are stationed in Arizona year round
  • You will develop short and long term skill development plans for players that are assigned to Arizona in-season
  • You will help coordinate offseason individual and group training sessions, camps, and development programs for Arizona based players
  • You will work with medical and strength and conditioning departments to develop rehabilitation programs for injured players

Qualifications:

  • Experience applying insights from data/analytics to a multi-faceted player development plan
  • Great at driving and maintaining relationships with Giants personnel
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver presentations
  • A keen sense of ownership, drive, and willingness to get it done
  • Strong tolerance for ambiguity
