just a general question for anyone reading who can answer-
how often do IT roles like this pop up for teams? Id love to get a job with a MLB team as an analyst, however, my technical skills pale in comparison to most hires. I just started a career in IT and a role like this might be my best chance to break into a club.

A handful of jobs per year across MLB.

It’s hard to say how often jobs like this will open up in the future but because many organizations are just now expanding their development teams enough to require dedicated project managers I would expect at least a couple roles like this to open up on public boards each year. If you are willing/able to work in Dev Ops and testing I would imagine a handful more job openings would be available.
