: its all about ranking
|
| 11:39 |
:
|
| 12:01 |
: yo I’m here and I dedicate this chat to Wilmer Flores
|
| 12:01 |
Who would you rather have rest of this season, Karns or Erasmo? |
| 12:01 |
: Karns, especially if he goes to the National League
|
| 12:02 |
Is Jayson Werth finished being a productive player?

| 12:02 |
: Not stealing bases, wrist injuries terrible for power… this year, yes. Maybe another good year in him.
|
| 12:02 |
Olivera – going to be starting at third for Atlanta this year? And if he is, you’ve got to pick him up if you have any opening, right? (once Yahoo finally adds him) |
| 12:02 |
: Yeah I guess but I’m not a big fan.
|
| 12:02 |
Man, I should have taken that Nats offer of 100/6 (or something close to it). What will I sign for this offseason? |
| 12:02 |
: No idea. Maybe a make-good?
|
| 12:03 |
how did the indians get more for moss than they gave up to get him, after a half season of him being terrible? |
| 12:03 |
: Kaminsky’s still an A-ball pitcher, even if he’s a good one. Wendle was closer, and a hitter. How many hitting prospects have been traded this offseason, compared to pitching ones?
|
| 12:04 |
20 teamer OPS league. Offered his Souza, Baez and Tyson Ross for my JD Martinez and CJ Wilson. Thoughts? Leaving for work soon, thanks for answering my question in advance Eno. |
| 12:04 |
: For this year, I take JDM, best in deal. Dynasty? Souza interesting and Ross > Wilson. I could see it.
|
| 12:04 |
|
| 12:05 |
: Yeah but which one? Braves?
|
| 12:05 |
What’s your take on the Gomez situation? More to the story about why the deal fell through than what the Mets are putting out there? |
| 12:07 |
: The way Sandy put it “it’s not going to happen” suggests that the problem was on the Brewer’s side. So it’s the hip. Who knows who leaked it, but someone told Flores on the field, from the stands. So it wasn’t Terry’s fault, really. Just a bad situation. I wouldn’t blame it on Twitter, though, I’d blame it on the leaking party.. which seems like it was in Carlos Gomez’s camp…
|
| 12:07 |
“Wilmer, you’re traded” |
| 12:07 |
: Imagine hearing that from the stands. And the person may have been rude about it, too “Later dude, you’ve been traded for a good player.” Ouch.
|
| 12:07 |
I’ve seen Joe Ross compared to Chris Archer. What do you think of that comp? |
| 12:09 |
: Good velocity, great slider, could be his brother. From what I’ve seen, though, the change could be better than either Archer’s or his brother’s. At least it has fade, if not great drop or velocity gap. Guessing the slider isn’t quite as good as either’s, too.
|
| 12:09 |
I love Alex Wood, I wouldn’t flip him for Price… would you? |
| 12:09 |
: I like him. the velocity loss is overstated, he was a reliever his rookie year. He’s lost half a tick since last year. He’s throwing down in the zone more and that’s affected his command and lost him Ks. I think the Dodgers could fix that and have a nice asset until the mechanics fell him.
|
| 12:10 |
Eno, can you explain to my why a rental of Price might be worth Urias to the dodgers, but Hamels absolutely wasn’t? According to ZIPS, Price is worth .3 wins over Hamels the rest of the year (so call it, maybe, 1/3 run/inning?) How is that marginal benefit better than having an excellent pitcher controlled for four years for a well-below market price? |
| 12:10 |
: It’s not. Urias won’t be traded for Price.
|
| 12:10 |
For my next trick, I’m going to trade Ruben Tejada today for a sandwich and make him stand on the mound eating it for 9 innings and listen to the fans cheer his departure! Cause that’s how I roll! |
| 12:11 |
Am I alone in thinking that the Mets organization really is not to blame for the whole Gomez/Flores thing? No one informed Terry Collins because the trade fell apart, but no one in the stadium knew it fell through, so they all acted as if Flores was traded. |
| 12:11 |
: Yeah I think it’s on Gomez camp, but hey, he was excited.
|
| 12:11 |
CARLOS GOMEZ HAS TWO FAKE HIPS I SWEAR |
| 12:11 |
Tokyo Police Club is one of those bands I wish were around when I was in high school. Elephant Shell is an A+ pop/rock album. |
| 12:11 |
: nice
|
| 12:11 |
I was just offered Odor for Parra for rest of this yr. Should I? |
| 12:11 |
: Yes
|
| 12:12 |
What on God’s green earth are the Braves thinking right now? I guess if you knew Wood mas going to get hurt and Olivera would play like Aramis Ramirez in his age 31 year through his age 35 year, this makes sense. The Braves don’t know that, though. Tell me why, from the Braves perspective, this isn’t the worst deadline deal by a mile. |
| 12:12 |
: I can’t
|
| 12:12 |
| 12:12 |
I loved seeing what Friedman could do with the smallest budget in the majors and now I love watching his moves now that he has the largest |
| 12:13 |
What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Eno chat. |
| 12:13 |
Why so serious? |
| 12:13 |
: GIMME THE LUDES GIMME THE LUDES
|
| 12:13 |
Is there any way the Brandon Moss trade is not bad for the Cardinals? The consensus seems to be that it’s horrible. Talk me out from under my desk (if you can) |
| 12:14 |
: hey man Moss can still hit for power against righties, and it’s hard to trade for hitters. He’s better than Piscotty and Reynolds at first right now, is what I would say, and he can play OF. With Holliday down, it’s a good move.
|
| 12:14 |
Seriously though, if they had known Colorado would eat that money, they could have easily typed that package. Then they back out on Gomez. 9th straight season without playoffs here we come! |
| 12:15 |
: Well Matt Harrison is more eating money than Jose Reyes, and I guess the Mets’ offering Lagares wasn’t as attractive to the Rox as Reyes. Obviously the Mets had an offer in with the Rox.
|
| 12:15 |
It sounds like Billy Beane is committing to a rebuild, or at least some variation of it. (I assume it won’t take as long as that of the Astros.) Given the prospects he’s acquired and some of the younger guys that are already on the major league team, it seems like he’s gunning for 17-18, so why isn’t he discussing deals involving Reddick and Chavez? Don’t they have more value now than they will in the offseason? |
| 12:15 |
: I’m sure he is taking calls on those two. The question is… is he talking to anyone about Gray?
|
| 12:15 |
who will prove to be a more valuable pick up over the remainder of the season? conforto or rusney castillo? |
| 12:16 |
: Rusney steals, so if you talking fantasy, I’ll take the chance on Rusney
|
| 12:16 |
Blue Jays pushing for Price, pretty huge news if true. |
| 12:16 |
: I think they make the playoffs.
|
| 12:16 |
wait the mets balked at Gomez because he cost too much? |
| 12:16 |
: because his hips are bad
|
| 12:16 |
Which surprise performer do you prefer in a dynasty league between Pollock and Cain? Which breakout do you believe is more legitimate? |
| 12:16 |
: Both legit but Pollock younger and more likely to do for a longer time without getting injjured.
|
| 12:17 |
Why are americans so stoic at sporting events? European soccer is rowdy, Japanese baseball is rowdy, and Americans just applaud politely and talk amongst themselves |
| 12:17 |
: I think what you’re looking for is coordination, which American fans don’t do. They loud, but they rarely get together and do specific chants aimed at certain players. They also don’t do the song thing like Japan and Europe.
|
| 12:17 |
When you see a player show a reverse platoon split over a single-season. Do you: |
| 12:17 |
: Ignore it.
|
| 12:18 |
Now that’s he’s doing better. Duda or VMart daily? I’ll prob go VMart when Duda faces a lefty anyway. OBP league. |
| 12:18 |
: Both is great, but still more VMart.
|
| 12:18 |
Eno! How do you like Kang the rest of the season? Is he turning the corner or just a hot streak? |
| 12:18 |
: He’s getting regular reps and using them well.
|
| 12:18 |
how was p4k fest? |
| 12:19 |
: Crazy. Panda Bear rocked it according to me. Future Islands was really fun. Ex Hex too. They shut it down Saturday because it was lightning and thunder and sideways rain and I thought I saw hail and I was wetter than ever and it was gross but then the sun came out and all was well again.
|
| 12:19 |
Have the last 12 hours pretty much been the experience of being a Mets fan in a microcosm? |
| 12:19 |
: Soul-crushing, in other words.
|
| 12:20 |
Dang bro you gonna be busy today, enjoy this chat! |
| 12:20 |
: haven’t even made it to 12:00 yet
|
| 12:20 |
Should I feel good, or bad, for Wilmer Flores? |
| 12:20 |
: Bad. He’s still not a great player, and he’s still very likely to get moved if anyone wants him.
|
| 12:20 |
Do the Mets make any more moves? Seems like COF aren’t fits. Best fit is RH CF, but Gomez was only one of those on the market. |
| 12:21 |
: They could get Bruce and move Grandy to center, but only if they keep Lagares.
|
| 12:21 |
they say take beano and there will be no gas… but take beno, and you’ll be throwing gas all day long |
| 12:21 |
Anything interesting happen in baseball last night? |
| 12:21 |
It’s all about skanking ? |
| 12:21 |
: rude natty rude
|
| 12:21 |
Didn’t Toronto learn a few years back that turning all of your prospects into big-name veterans isn’t a surefire way to success? |
| 12:22 |
: Josh Donaldson is the business
|
| 12:22 |
Would a deal that sends Ryan Raburn to the Rangers for a prospect (Lewis Brinson?) make sense for the Rangers’ intent to get a right handed veteran bat? |
| 12:22 |
: Brinson made strides, I think he’s sticking with the Rangers and could be a star.
|
| 12:22 |
Other than personal location preferences, any baseball reason why Hamels would reject Houston? Not that he could have blocked the Rangers, but it seems like the Astros are much better suited for this year and the next few than the Rangers are. |
| 12:22 |
: Gotta be personal I guess, because it can’t be park or league or team factors really.
|
| 12:23 |
The Jays are really going for it, huh? Norris or Sanchez seem like a pretty steep price for a rental. |
| 12:23 |
: Not sure. Sanchez looks like a reliever to me. Norris would be a bit much.
|
| 12:23 |
I seriously can’t even with this team. Balked at paying a potential 6-win player $9million?!?!? Why? How? |
| 12:24 |
: I don’t think it was the money. You can see that Gomez has battled hip issues, it’s in the papers. Now… I might have just taken the risk on a 1.3 year deal. Maybe not if I was signing him for six.
|
| 12:24 |
What do you think are Daniel Hudson’s chances to be a solid fantasy asset in 2016? What are the chances he’s a closer next year, or is his future as a starter? Any chance he closes this year? |
| 12:24 |
: I have him as next in line behind one of the weakest closers in the game. Story on this going up today at ESPN insider and FG+.
|
| 12:24 |
why would karns go to the NL what |
| 12:24 |
: Rumor now
|
| 12:24 |
So….Arodys Vizcaino time? Would be cool to have another closer that sounds like Aroldis. |
| 12:24 |
: Yes, if trade goes through, him.
|
| 12:25 |
Matt Holiday – best 100 million contract? |
| 12:25 |
: Remember when it was Werth? I think it might have been first A-Rod.
|
| 12:25 |
Eno, sorry to break it to you like this, but you’ve been traded to baseball prospectus and New York. But finish this chat. |
| 12:25 |
: tears
|
| 12:25 |
My current closers are Zeigler and Ramos, so blech. Who should I be spending my FAAB on now? Giles? What are some other names who will be closing by the weekend? Waivers/FAAB are tonight (and then again sunday night) |
| 12:25 |
: Giles Arodys
|
| 12:26 |
Are you trading Correa to get Kris Bryant, despite the fact your replacement SS is Aybar and you have Carlos Santana at 3rd? |
| 12:26 |
: no, for those replacement reasons
|
| 12:26 |
Do I have any innings limits this year? What are my numbers like for the rest of the season? |
| 12:27 |
: He did 150 in 2013… I think he can probably get to 175 at least. That’s a skipped start or three from a full slate.
|
| 12:27 |
: Man Norris *and* Alford for Price rental. I guess you get a pick for Price but still.
|
| 12:28 |
: That’s a rumor by the way.
|
| 12:28 |
How the hell did Josh Reddick drop his K rate so drastically? |
| 12:28 |
: Just spitting on the outside pitch http://www.fangraphs.com/bl…
|
| 12:28 |
In a keeper league, where you can keep minor leaguers, where do you draw the line between “flags fly forever” and holding prospects for continued success in future seasons? |
| 12:28 |
: Top ten prospects only go for young players that can also help now. Everyone else can go.
|
| 12:28 |
Flemming gave you a shout out on KNBR yesterday(I think it was yesterday). Did you catch it? |
| 12:28 |
: He’s been very nice to me!
|
| 12:29 |
Let’s try again. 16 pts league. Need a starter for the playoffs. Frias out of that role now that Latos and Wood have been acquired: Godley (currently on roster), Rusin or add a quality relief arm for hold? Danks obviously not part of the equation. The candles are for the O’s apparently not making a move for Gomez. |
| 12:29 |
: I think maybe Godley gets figured out eventually, but first time through, and maybe even second time, they going to have trouble with his fastball, which moves like a change. I’d just go with him.
|
| 12:29 |
What was the benefit for the Marlins in the 3 team deal? Were they that desperate to get out of $14M, really? |
| 12:30 |
: they got “Corporate Profits” didn’t you see that on Cameron’s break down?
|
| 12:30 |
Why aren’t the Yankees doing anything? Don’t they have holes to fill? |
| 12:30 |
: They don’t want to sell Judge, Severino, or Bird, so there’s not much else in there.
|
| 12:30 |
With a healthy Travis, should the Jays continue to hit Tulo leadoff? I think so. Usually you don’t want to put a middle of the order bat at leadoff, because you want them to drive in the OBP guys in front. However, with Tulo being a good OBP guy himself, and still having good good middle of the order guys in the 2,3 and 4 hole, why not have your best hitters at the top of the order? Plus Tulo gets first crack at driving in the guys at the bottom of the order, should they get on base. |
| 12:32 |
: Travis not healthy, but he’s a better OBP guy than the projections suggest, and Tulo a great number two, too.
|
| 12:32 |
I think the braves have a first class front office, but I can’t figure out why they would trade a near ace who can easily develop into a real ace under team control for 3 more years and a top 50 prospect for a 30 year old cuban? |
| 12:32 |
Braves must not believe in Wood’s long-term health, right? |
| 12:32 |
: Asked and answered, consecutively. That’s all I got, or they value Olivera highly, they were in on him.
|
| 12:32 |
Werth had a 159 and 141 wRC+ the last two years. I know collapses happen in an instant, but I think it’s a little bit panicky to worry he’s done. |
| 12:33 |
: Well, I am pointing to an event — wrist injuries, which sap power — and not just saying he’s done in general.
|
| 12:33 |
Is Taylor Jungmann for real? |
| 12:33 |
: Not like this. But decent fastballs, good curve, okay change… could stick around as a pitcher. Command leaves him though.
|
| 12:33 |
Who is my best bet for a SS of the future? Lindor, Baez, Story? |
| 12:34 |
: God, they all so flawed for fantasy. I go with Baez upside then.
|
| 12:35 |
: “best bet” means floor, though, maybe: best floor is Lindor.
|
| 12:35 |
Do the Mets go after someone else now – Upton/Cespedes? |
| 12:35 |
: Bruce? I think they also want someone for next year.
|
| 12:35 |
In a 7-1 game, why not lift Wilmer? It doesn’t mean clean out your locker and hit the road. If the deal was agreed to in principle, he should have been taken out. This would not be a fiasco if the Mets handled this like a functional organization. |
| 12:36 |
: yes there’s some blame for Terry as soon as he figured it out. “I wanted to win the game” is one thing, the psyche of your young guy (who probably wouldn’t win the game for you) is more important at that point than some point you want to make.
|
| 12:36 |
what does Addison Russell need to do to play better, and do you see improved results in his future, either this year or further down the line? |
| 12:36 |
: Saw a great piece in BP Wrigleyville about how he’s learning to swing less at certain pitches. I think that’s the key for him. And I think he’s doing it now. At a 22-24% K rate, he’ll have enough power and speed to be Peralta esque.
|
| 12:36 |
biscuits? |
| 12:37 |
biscuits. |
| 12:37 |
According to Tom Haudricourt’s story the issue was the Met’s financial situation, here’s the link. Is there a point at which the commissioner steps in and compels the Mets owners to sell? It’s absolutely ridiculous that the team with the largest market in the country is hamstrung by their owners’ shoddy investment decisions. http://www.jsonline.com/blo… |
| 12:37 |
: According to the guy who’s sources are in the Brewers’ organization, the Brewers are blameless and Carlos Gomez hip is pristine….
|
| 12:38 |
fine but the point stands. basically everyone thinks price is worth a similar package to hamels. it makes no sense to me. |
| 12:38 |
: I don’t think Norris and Alford is as good as the package Hamels got but there’s the complication of money in that one.
|
| 12:38 |
Cody Allen as a secure closer on 1-10 scale is…..? (10 Mo Rivera secure) |
| 12:38 |
: 7
|
| 12:38 |
How will Sandy get the sandwich but still be in a position of authority over Tejada such that he could force him to the eat the sandwich for which he was traded? I call fake account. |
| 12:38 |
do you think the yanks will get craig kimbrel? if so at what price? gary sanchez? |
| 12:38 |
: Doesn’t make sense that they would need Kimbrel so bad
|
| 12:39 |
A lot of blame for Mets situation goes to whoever at MLB pushed the news to everyone with the At Bat app on their phone. One thing if its just a Twitter report but once everyone’s phone is buzzing with an official MLB notification that puts sort of an official imprint on it. |
| 12:39 |
: woof I didn’t even know that.
|
| 12:39 |
Who’s Oakland’s closer four weeks from now? |
| 12:39 |
: Fernando.
|
| 12:39 |
What happened to Daniel Norris Strikeouts? |
| 12:39 |
: Command?
|
| 12:39 |
No, the Mets FO takes some blame for this too. It was all over their home broadcast. They could have gotten any of their flunkies at the Daily News to tweet that the trade was “on hold” or “not quite done yet”. They didn’t. Nor did they lift Flores for being in an agreed upon deal. Inexcusable. |
| 12:39 |
: There’s blame for everyone.
|
| 12:39 |
does david price without a QO beat the contract scherzer got last offseason? |
| 12:40 |
: Wait I think they don’t get a pick for Price, they changed the rules on that. Have to remember that.
|
| 12:40 |
Why can’t anyone give us a decent movie version of Dr. Doom? |
| 12:40 |
Hey Eno! Are you buying into Robert Stephenson’s adjustments this season? Are we seeing the emergence of a top starter? |
| 12:40 |
: I’d like to know what the adjustment is. Because if it’s “never mind about the changeup,” then the stats would look better than his future projections.
|
| 12:40 |
What’s Odor’s ceiling? I’m debating keeping him because of his youth, but would be over Price or Fielder which feels insane. 5 keepers in 12-team, 30-man rosters. |
| 12:41 |
: I wouldn’t keep a pitcher in a keep five, so it’s not too crazy over Price.
|
| 12:41 |
Derek Norris has been pretty awful for a while now. Is it just fatigue or is he being exposed? |
| 12:41 |
: Hurt his shoulder too!
|
| 12:41 |
My main man Eno!!! |
| 12:41 |
: Jacob deGrom is the best pitcher in new york.
|
| 12:41 |
Reyes get flipped again before the deadline? Colorado has zero use for him. |
| 12:41 |
: Would make sense but do the Rockies make sense.
|
| 12:41 |
Problem with Moss move for Cards is surely they could have got a better return on that package… Lind? |
| 12:41 |
: Maybe they also valued his OF abilities.
|
| 12:42 |
Jacob deGrom is the best pitcher in New York City. |
| 12:42 |
: That’s hilarious.
|
| 12:42 |
Does Mujica close for the A’s rest of season? How about Osuna for Toronto? |
| 12:42 |
: Osuna safer.
|
| 12:42 |
Eno! Do you think that Panik and Duffy are legit for the giants–maybe sustainable as somewhat above average if not THIS good? if so, does this lessen the need for Giants to acquire someone b/c cheap, cost controlled infield means they have a longer window. |
| 12:43 |
: I believe in Panik. Duffy, a little less. .100 ISO for Duffy would be good enough for him to be super util or cheap regular on good team, though.
|
| 12:43 |
As Shakira would say rel to Gomez… hips don’t lie. |
| 12:43 |
They (probably) won’t ever do it, but *should* the Mariners trade Felix? Thinking of Tulo as a parallel. |
| 12:43 |
: Just won’t happen because they’ve told themselves they are building for now.
|
| 12:45 |
Which Seattle beer have you tried? Reubens? |
| 12:45 |
: Other than Pyramid, I don’t think I’ve had any of these http://www.beergraphs.com/l…
|
| 12:45 |
Ichiro likely to be the only player in this era with 5000+ PAs to retire with reverse platoon splits? |
| 12:45 |
: And maybe Aoki if he could get that many PA, which you’d think would say something, but I couldn’t find it in the numbers.
|
| 12:47 |
I was following the |
| 12:47 |
:
|
| 12:47 |
Do you think Daniel Norris can be a #3 as soon as next year? Upside for more? |
| 12:47 |
: Little skeptical about him actually.
|
| 12:47 |
Re: Grandy – can he still play center? |
| 12:47 |
: “Play”
|
| 12:47 |
Dynasty league: you prefer Manuel Margot or Daniel Norris as a minors keeper? |
| 12:47 |
: Margot
|
| 12:48 |
no ur poop |
| 12:48 |
: I was saying the news you were hurt was poop news
|
| 12:48 |
Do you think Hamels reluctance to go to Houston says a lot about how they’re perceived on how they do business with players? |
| 12:49 |
: Well this is possible. I know that Ryan Vogelsong has a burning fire of hatred in his soul for the Astros.
|
| 12:49 |
I’m a big tigers fan and don’t know much about Norris. Please tell me this is worth it…. |
| 12:49 |
: He’s close and the team isn’t that close to the playoffs!
|
| 12:49 |
Orioles free up `~$20M in salary next season even after figuring in arb raises. How do/should they spend it? |
| 12:49 |
: Ace.
|
| 12:49 |
How high is Odor’s ceiling, do you think? |
| 12:49 |
: .280/20/20 with meh OBP
|
| 12:50 |
Am I wrong to have not liked the Gomez deal for the Mets even assuming no bad hips. Giving up 4 years of cost-controlled Wheeler for 1.5 years of Gomez who’s defense has begun to decline and isn’t hitting with same power he has the past couple years. |
| 12:50 |
: Giving up Wheeler is fine, but they seem to think of Lagares as a millstone not an asset, and giving up both was a little bit much for me.
|
| 12:50 |
what about patrick corbin ros? |
| 12:51 |
: He’s good! A little better than K-BB suggests.
|
| 12:51 |
On second thought, R.J. Anderson looks like he has a lingering carpal tunnel issue. Forget that whole thing about the trade. |
| 12:51 |
New rumors are saying money might have derailed the Gomez trade. Hip issue could’ve been an excuse. This team, man. |
| 12:51 |
: We have to be careful. We are now listening to two jilted lovers talking crap on each other.
|
| 12:51 |
This is all bonkers. |
| 12:52 |
: That much we can agree upon.
|
| 12:52 |
Sounds lile Norris, alford and Boyd for Price seems a bit much. |
| 12:53 |
: Nice return. Big price. Great pitcher.
|
| 12:53 |
I couldn’t understand why Flores would cry as his first arb cheque will net a pretty nice place in Mil. vs. a 350sq ft condo in NY — Do rookies in major markets making 500K have to pay for their own condos? 225K After taxes doesn’t net you a great place in NY…no? |
| 12:54 |
: Hey man, dude signed with team at 16 from another country and all he knows is New York, a city rife with immigrant populations. It’s not necessarily a slight on Milwaukee, just sadness about what happened.
|
| 12:54 |
I should be trying to sell Cesar Hernandez, yeah? How good a pitcher can I get for him? |
| 12:54 |
: Only your league can answer that. But I would look to selll yes.
|
| 12:54 |
What did you think of Milwaukee’s haul before the deal fell through? |
| 12:55 |
: One thing I like about Wheeler vs a guy like Norris: Wheeler’s TJS failure rate is much lower than a prospect bust rate. So Wheeler is both high floor and high ceiling, so a decent asset to go get.
|
| 12:55 |
How risky is Miggy? Should I be wary of trading for him for the fantasy playoffs? Worried about the risk of injury reoccurence or shutdown |
| 12:56 |
: Eh he can hit drunk so I think he’ll be fine once the calf is fine.
|
| 12:56 |
That wasn’t a criticism of your answer, it was a criticism of the question! I.e., you should let me answer questions π |
| 12:56 |
: Well… you do. Where’s your sporcle.
|
| 12:56 |
Jungmann? There’s no need to feel down. Jungmann, keeps the ball on the ground |
| 12:56 |
So the Jays traded for Price |
| 12:56 |
Still confused as to how the Braves gave up Peraza in that deal. They must love the socks off Olivera. |
| 12:57 |
I turned aj Ramos into glasnow in nl only dynasty. You can ask line up to shake my hand now |
| 12:57 |
: Enjoy David Price, Toronto. I think you’ll get in.
|
| 12:58 |
: Hey Alford is not in the deal! That’s a big deal. Boyd was a find, and Norris hurt his stock this year.
|
| 12:58 |
Alright, I’m taking my slow-release Vitamin C and my vegetarian DHA, and then I’m going to go to work like a goddamn normal human being. |
| 12:59 |
: When you get back everyone will be on new teams so good luck figuring that out.
|
| 12:59 |
Just LOL @ the Blue Jays giving away their future for a wild card exit. |
| 12:59 |
: Wild cards can make good runs…
|
| 12:59 |
: And Stroman still trying to get back this year.
|
| 12:59 |
Can we just admit what it is? Sandy got cold feet. He hates trading unless he knows he won the trade, and he got scared |
| 1:00 |
: Bull doo doo. I mean, if you’re inside the inner circle, I’d listen to this.
|
| 1:00 |
Are you buying into both Adam Eaton and Melky now? |
| 1:00 |
: Eaton as a .270/15/15 type, sure. Melky as a .280/10/0 guy. Both more useful than I thought a while back.
|
| 1:01 |
i daylight as an attorney, but my real passion is impersonating a sober person while i drink world class courts. |
| 1:01 |
: I don’t think I need to add anything to this interlude, let’s just let this one wash over us.
|
| 1:01 |
What’s ceiling’s odor? I’m debating febrezing it because of its convenience, but would be over tables and seats that I sit on and eat off of which is insane. 1 fruit bowl with 7 pieces of fruit, 10-fruit size. |
| 1:01 |
: except this isn’t bad either.
|
| 1:01 |
When I first saw the news about the Mets trade, I read it as “Carlos Gonzalez”, not Gomez. Any reason why that can’t happen? Cargo too expensive? |
| 1:02 |
: yeah he’s way more expensive. adn worse.
|
| 1:02 |
I mean, just last week the Mets were supposedly balking at Zobrist’s 3.5 million or w/e last week, so is it so unbelievable that they backed out over 9 million? |
| 1:03 |
: Not unbelievable I guess. I hate all of this. Really, I was ecstatic when the deal was reported. It awakened parts of me I thought were dead. I’m not even kidding.
|
| 1:03 |
My gf brought me some Elysian from when she was up in Washington a couple months back. Good stuff on the whole. |
| 1:03 |
That Elysian Space Dust is pretty legit |
| 1:03 |
: Yeah that’s what I want
|
| 1:03 |
I’m just glad no one is writing articles about my hips. |
| 1:04 |
: “Eno’s a decent analyst, but it’s no surprise the large-market media organization balked when they saw his beer gut”
|
| 1:04 |
Duda drills drei ding dongs in dropped diversion against Dieogans |
| 1:04 |
Daniel Norris’s van is now the 6th most valuable home in Detroit city limits. |
| 1:04 |
Can Grandy still physically stand in center field? |
| 1:04 |
: lol
|
| 1:04 |
Who’s the real Chris Tillman? Guy we saw first half of this season or guy we saw in 2014 and his last few starts recently? |
| 1:05 |
: I bet he’s a bit like Matt Cain in that he goes for the pop up with the high fastball, but any sort of decline in stuff or command and you start missing that spot and you get battered.
|
| 1:05 |
Which Fernando – Abad or Rodriguez – closing for As? |
| 1:05 |
: FRod. No. sorry. Roddy.
|
| 1:05 |
Eno, tell me second kids are easier than the first. Lie to me if need be. |
| 1:05 |
: I will lie to you.
|
| 1:05 |
Mookie on 7-day DL is also poop news. He made such a great play. |
| 1:06 |
I”m in the middle of Pedro’s book and if his temperament is any indication, many players lack an understanding that they are employees in a cutthroat business, nothing more and nothing less. |
| 1:06 |
What kind of numbers do you think a juiced up Bonds could put up today at age 51? |
| 1:06 |
: hah. .210/.330/.400? Still playable, maybe.
|
| 1:06 |
real life, ozhaino albies or gleyber torres moving forward! |
| 1:06 |
: Albies.
|
| 1:06 |
@Sam also Flores! He’s a real 1.5-2 win player for cheaps. Why is everyone so down on him? Defensive metrics like him enough. |
| 1:07 |
: I don’t believe he’s a decent SS, and all I can see is a decent contact rate, which is backed up with poor authority on contacted balls. I’m out on Flores.
|
| 1:07 |
I imagine Preller is super pissed right now with all these trades that don’t involve him. |
| 1:07 |
You think Jack Z is gonna fired down the stretch? |
| 1:07 |
: It’ll take that for a rebuild but does anyone in Seattle have a stomach for another rebuild
|
| 1:07 |
What kind of 1B should I be able to acquire in a dynasty for Kyle Seager and feel ok? Belt not enough? |
| 1:07 |
: Not enough.
|
| 1:07 |
Does Superman wear a cape to hide the fact that he’s an ape? |
| 1:07 |
So does a Wheeler/Flores package work for Bruce? Or do the Mets offer less, given the position difference? |
| 1:08 |
: God now we have to talk about money again, don’t we. If they eat money, then yeah, I think that’s a decent package.
|
| 1:08 |
Like Trevor Bauer or Rubby more in a dynasty? |
| 1:08 |
: Bauer.
|
| 1:08 |
: Rubby’s continual tinkering could work out, but it’s maddening.
|
| 1:08 |
How will Moss be used by StL. Is he going to lose time in a platoon situation |
| 1:08 |
: you shouldn’t be playing him vs LHP anyway.
|
| 1:08 |
By far the best way to lower one’s carbon footprint is to go vegan. This makes me a sad panda. (This panda likes red meat.) |
| 1:09 |
: I know, it’s terrible. So I just limit my red meat to once a week or so.
|
| 1:09 |
Karns, Erasmo or Edourado Rodriguez ROS |
| 1:09 |
: ED!
|
| 1:09 |
Wait, just say the thing about closers, whats wrong with Melancon??? |
| 1:09 |
: Terrible velocity and strikeout rate for a closer. Might work for a year, but not a good one to bet on.
|
| 1:10 |
Lash me to this haberdashery, lest I become an odiferous Odysseus. |
| 1:10 |
: what is happening
|
| 1:10 |
Given the exchange of money/counting Harrison as a deadweight, the Rangers will basically have 4 years of Hamels for 65 million. How much would he have signed for if he had sought a 4 year deal this offseason? 105 million? |
| 1:10 |
: Wait, they have Hamels for less than that. And Hamels would have gone for more than Lester, according to me. Lester signed for 6/155
|
| 1:10 |
Do failed deals like this for the Mets and Brewers sour possible future deals? Or are FOs not so immature? |
| 1:11 |
: no, they are definitely that immature. It’s about relationships.
|
| 1:11 |
I lived in New York and made 1/4 of what Flores did and had a totally baller (albeit small and rented) place. $500k/year is a lot of money anywhere. |
| 1:11 |
can we stop speculating about flores being emotional? for all we know he learned his dog died |
| 1:11 |
: Uh, no, he said after the game a fan told him about the trade and he got emotional.
|
| 1:11 |
Friend of mine was told he was getting relocated to another state for work. he was pretty upset about it and it didnt happen on television. Jesus people, give the guy some slack. |
| 1:11 |
We’re looking for a center fielder right handed bat that’s affordable and under team control for more than just this year. They grow on trees so nuking all talks about Gomez shouldn’t be a problem at all. |
| 1:11 |
It’s hard to get in a decent Fap Sesh with all of this deadline news breaking. |
| 1:12 |
“WAIT THIS GUY HAS A HIP ISSUE? F*** THIS!!!!” – team trading away a guy who was cut open, had a tendon removed, reattached to his elbow and throws a baseball for a living |
| 1:12 |
Is Toronto done? Wouldn’t mind seeing them add a lefty outfielder like Venable and, you know, 4-5 more arms. |
| 1:12 |
Dodgers/Marlins/Braves trade still not done. |
| 1:12 |
and the Yankees are overachieving. Definitely catchable. |
| 1:12 |
Im guessing The Big Dipper would be the kind of fantasy player that is always playing for next year yet next year never comes.. |
| 1:12 |
Joel Sherman also saying Mets pulled out for financial reasons. Hardly a Brewers homer. |
| 1:12 |
: sigh
|
| 1:12 |
it’s 1:00 PM…you won’t see this |
| 1:13 |
: I made it to here!
|
| 1:13 |
Jays giving away their future? Still have Osuna, Sanchez, Stroman in line for rotation spots next year, and $30M plus coming off the books. |
| 1:13 |
: And held position player prospects.
|
| 1:13 |
Know anything about scotch or bourbon? Favorites? |
| 1:13 |
: Lagavulin, Laphroig, Caol Isla.
|
| 1:14 |
Padres will take Gomez and his Mother hips. |
| 1:14 |
:
|
| 1:14 |
If it was money that concerned the Mets, would they really get to the last phase of the deal before getting cold feet? They knew how much he cost, and it wouldn’t have become that official if they were still bargaining over a few million $$$. |
| 1:15 |
: Yeah that’s what I don’t get. “Pending physicals” is very different than “pending discussion of money changing hands.”
|
| 1:15 |
Polanco breaking out? |
| 1:15 |
: I really like him, always have.
|
| 1:15 |
Jesus, you guys make being a Mets fan sound so depressing. |
| 1:15 |
: It’s pretty tough.
|
| 1:15 |
Can you answer my questions please? |
| 1:15 |
: Sure
|
| 1:15 |
Can we all acknowledge that Wilmer Flores is a league average player making the league minimum? Why so much hate? |
| 1:16 |
: A lot of that is built on defensive stats saying he’s playing an okay short, which… no.
|
| 1:16 |
Didn’t they announce Mujica closing? |
| 1:16 |
: They did! The question who was closing in a month.
|
| 1:16 |
Eno, I always take Thursdays off and lay in bed during your chats naked. Nothing sexual, that’s just how I roll |
| 1:16 |
: Well I’m not fully clothed either.
|
| 1:17 |
ichiro 99 away from 3000 |
| 1:17 |
: hanging on to the bigs until he gets it too
|
| 1:17 |
How tempered should expectations be when Stanton returns? Hamate injuries are bad? |
| 1:17 |
: They are bad for power. but if there was anyone…
|
| 1:17 |
As a Midwesterner going to the West Coast (San Fran), what beers should I bring back with me? |
| 1:18 |
: dunno if you can bring home Cellarmaker (growler only) but go there. Go to City Beer Store and get some Drake’s, Almanac sours, San Diego beers (Modern Times cans, Lost Abbey Red Poppy sour, Port Brewing Mongo) and then ask the people working there for recs.
|
| 1:19 |
Grichuk or Kang more in Dynasty? |
| 1:19 |
: Kang for me
|
| 1:19 |
Shouldn’t mets really be targeting Cespedes? He’ll probably cost a lot less. |
| 1:19 |
: Can’t play center, but if he’s cheap, sure.
|
| 1:19 |
Seattle Mariners: Rebuilding the Rebuild |
| 1:19 |
You’re elected dictator of baseball. Do you move the trade deadline earlier in the year, later in the year or keep it at July 31? |
| 1:19 |
: Later.
|
| 1:19 |
I try to limit my red meat to once a meal. |
| 1:19 |
Do you like Travis or Panik more in dynasty? |
| 1:20 |
: Travis. Power and speed, and more evidence of it on way up.
|
| 1:20 |
Fox says Tigers are working a trade for Soria. Albuerquerque the next in line? Think heβll be decent? |
| 1:20 |
: I have Rondon next.
|
| 1:20 |
what’s so wrong with being emotional? |
| 1:20 |
: Nothing! I felt so bad for him.
|
| 1:21 |
Apparently Flores cried again after he saw Eno referred to him as “blech” on twitter |
| 1:21 |
: Yes then I felt even worse.
|
| 1:21 |
Francesa’s fat face is pressing against the buttons on what is clearly a house phone. This is just a great day to be alive. |
| 1:21 |
Ryan Madson’s quietly been one of the most surprising story lines of the season which has gone basically unremarked on. He’s been really really good from an MLB perspective and has demonstrated the kind of value you can find on the salvage pile. |
| 1:21 |
: Yup.
|
| 1:21 |
To Eno's fizzle rather than sizzle deadline prediction |
| 1:22 |
Gomez himself talked about his hip bothering him in June. |
| 1:22 |
The only logical conclusion is that the trade had to go to Ownership for approval. It has to be the Wilpons. |
| 1:22 |
I’ve been a Mets fan my whole life. Since 1998. It’s been nothing but downhill since then really. |
| 1:22 |
Try being a Mariners fan that some depressing shyte |
| 1:22 |
Pirates will do what now? |
| 1:22 |
: I mean they talking about a first baseman, so Lind seems like a decent fit.
|
| 1:23 |
Can we please just take a moment to collectively laugh at Jenrry Mejia? |
| 1:23 |
: laugh? I want to shout at him. One thing that people missing when they talk about how much money he’s missing out on: what if he wasn’t a big leaguer without the juice? anyway, his lack of contrition makes him seem like maybe not the best guy right now.
|
| 1:23 |
I already have 3 closers…. Worth Picking up Vizcaino in speculation of him becoming dominate and becoming a trade piece…? |
| 1:23 |
: yes
|
| 1:24 |
Being a Mets fan is tough? Try cheering on the Brewers. Someday they will pass up the Cardinals, and Pirates … and Cubs. Never thought I would be happy to see the Astros not in the NL Central. |
| 1:24 |
No chance of Doolittle returning in a few weeks to close for the As? Melvin recently did say Doolittle was his “blankie” in the 9th. |
| 1:24 |
: I guess but at that velocity we saw, I’m skeptical.
|
| 1:24 |
I’m on the bus and I’m not fully clothed |
| 1:24 |
: well uh I hope there are no authorities around
|
| 1:24 |
You should just rename this chat “Nudes with Ludes”… |
| 1:24 |
Sooo… looks like [INSERT TEAM HERE] should of signed Jung Ho Kang, huh? |
| 1:24 |
: especially the Mets
|
| 1:25 |
Top Mets Moments: 1) Flores Debacle 2) flying ryan church around the country 10x when he was concussed…then questioning his toughness 3) flying randolph to the west coast to fire him in the middle of the night, shall i continue? |
| 1:25 |
: no please dont
|
| 1:25 |
If the trade deadline were moved back would it drive try the cost of rentals down, since they play less for their new team |
| 1:25 |
: But then it would be a continuum and we’d get trades over a longer time period and it would be easier to write about you guys care about that right
|
| 1:26 |
I will challenge any Mariners fan to a sad-off |
| 1:26 |
I thought Francesa was off today. Did he call in to Joe and Evan? |
| 1:26 |
: apparently, and with a house phone?
|
| 1:26 |
or he’s in jamaica, you can do anyting on the bus there |
| 1:26 |
: as long as the person who’s lap you’re on doesn’t mind
|
| 1:27 |
How do you see McCullers’ workload playing out ROS? Will they space out his starts, or just cut him off at some point? |
| 1:28 |
: he’s basically had 100 innings two years in a row and just hit that this year. I bet they let him get to 150 by spacing out. They’ll want him in the playoffs, so maybe it’s a DL/send down
|
| 1:28 |
Tweeted this yesterday: Last time M’s made the playoffs, Drake was filming the first season of Degrassi. |
| 1:28 |
12-team league, who are you stashing in the Tigers’ bullpen, Albuqerque, Rondon, Feliz, or no one? |
| 1:28 |
: Rondon
|
| 1:28 |
my D. Norris and Conforto for his G. Polanco? |
| 1:28 |
: yes
|
| 1:28 |
Anthony Rizzo just tweeted about getting Chiptoel before the game, guy has bowels of steel |
| 1:28 |
: Dude that place makes me run right to the toilet afterwards.
|
| 1:29 |
Francesa just said Pineda (elbow) and Nova (?) are dealing with injuries. |
| 1:29 |
: Like right now or in the past?
|
| 1:29 |
37) Keith Hernandez and Strawberry going at it on team picture day in spring training. |
| 1:29 |
Oh, I forgot the time the Mets had a presser to claim that Adam Rubin was making waves with the intention of getting hired by the team! Good times. |
| 1:30 |
Did your parents ever sing “baby’s on fire!!! Better throw him in the water.” to you when you were baby and you had a fever, Eno? |
| 1:30 |
: v possible.
|
| 1:30 |
:
|
| 1:30 |
Pineda scratched with elbow issues. |
| 1:31 |
: Jeebus. Yanks go get Leake if they don’t want to spend on pitchers?
|
| 1:31 |
: I caught up!
|
| 1:31 |
: Lightning or we just try to catch rumors as they happen?
|
| 1:32 |
Is it safe to say, at this point, that Kang is for real? And by “for real” I mean a near .800 OPS, plus glove 3B who can potentially play serviceable SS? |
| 1:32 |
: If you say .750+ then I’m aboard. High BABIP is just an asterisk on otherwise really good player.
|
| 1:32 |
“Heβs not pitching tonight, and he might be badly hurt,” Francesa told WFAN – on Pineda |
| 1:32 |
: oh god this was always a risk with Pineda
|
| 1:32 |
This chat has been sufficiently weird |
| 1:32 |
: Thank you
|
| 1:32 |
someone has tweeted to Anthony Rizzo to “Get the chicken, skip the guac. You are a baseball player, not bill gates.” wut |
| 1:32 |
: uh
|
| 1:33 |
Which team most likely to regret moving their prospect? I say Braves |
| 1:34 |
: Peraza? Eh I don’t think he’s going to be a star or anything. I don’t think it’s really going to be Alfaro, but Nick Wiliams could be very good. I like Finnegan more than most.
|
| 1:34 |
What about trading Adam freaking Jones for Bedard or trading The big unit? Talk about some crappy trades or all the over huped prospects |
| 1:34 |
Does anyone else get giddy when random people try to call out Buster Olney for being biased and then he shoots them down? I wish he did it more often. |
| 1:34 |
: it is pretty funny
|
| 1:34 |
Mets get Leake and put Niese into swing role? Bigger package (ha!) with a bat from Cincy? |
| 1:35 |
: that I’m pretty sure is not going to happen.
|
| 1:35 |
What about the Red Sox for Gomez? They are in a position to win next year probably and have the prospects to make it happen. |
| 1:35 |
: A Gomez-like pitcher, yes. Gomez? dunno.
|
| 1:35 |
Does Price resign if there is some success this year and the Jays throw 30 mill a year at him for 5 year? |
| 1:35 |
: He’ll take the money, wherever it is.
|
| 1:35 |
: Not saying he’s greedy, that’s just how it works.
|
| 1:35 |
Is Shark staying put now? |
| 1:36 |
: Still a few teams that could like him. He’d be really nice in San Francisco.
|
| 1:36 |
What are your long term thoughts on Taijuan Walker? Will he mature like a Shelby Miller? |
| 1:36 |
: I’m really just looking to post this song, so I’ll use the mention of Shelby Miller to post it:
|
| 1:36 |
:
|
| 1:37 |
Make me feel better about this trade from the Braves’ perspective. |
| 1:37 |
: I can’t.
|
| 1:37 |
Whats wrong with Our Boy Caminero? π |
| 1:37 |
: Just lost the command a little. Big guy, big velocity, I think he’ll find it again.
|
| 1:37 |
Now that you’re caught up it’s my big chance to get all my questions about my fantasy team answered, and…. I’M CHOKING! |
| 1:37 |
: I’M RIGHT HERE
|
| 1:38 |
NO mention of Duda hitting 3 HRS!! |
| 1:38 |
: Well now we’ve rectified it.
|
| 1:38 |
Do prices typically go up on trades as the deadline gets closer? |
| 1:39 |
: I dunno if it’s hour by hour, but prices are higher in July than February because everyone is happy with their team in February, and in July, the contenders know who they are and have more information about their chances.
|
| 1:39 |
HEIMLICH |
| 1:39 |
1.21 JIGAWATTS!? |
| 1:39 |
Which side wins for this season only Standard Roto: (Hamels/Maybin/A Gon) v (Teixeria/Fowler/CarGon/Gio Gonzo)? |
| 1:40 |
: I hate picking the side with more players, but CarGo can’t be that far from Gonzo, especially with Tex in there. Hamels > Gio, but we haven’t seen Hamels in A-L. Fowler = Maybin, more or less. The side with more players is the high floor side.
|
| 1:40 |
how much better is the price return than the cueto return? to me i see a better headliner, but the other pitchers are better on the cueto side |
| 1:41 |
: Norris upside is higher than anyone the Reds got, but I like Finnegan more than most and I think I’d take that package.
|
| 1:41 |
Why are we seeing such a wild deadline in such an age of parity and two wild cards? |
| 1:42 |
: GMs trying to zig when others zag, maybe. Trying to be wide-eyed about what a 5% chance at the playoffs really means.
|
| 1:42 |
So Werth worth holding onto? Replacement for Mookie or is he there with David Peralta/Colabello/Michael taylor |
| 1:42 |
: Well I’d rather have him than *those* guys.
|
| 1:42 |
Need to activate Dickerson but can’t figure out who to drop between Moss/Vogt/Segura/Yelich? |
| 1:42 |
: If you’re not playing Segura at short, him.
|
| 1:43 |
Do you think Hector Olivera starts soon? |
| 1:43 |
: if they make the trade, sure, once he’s healthy
|
| 1:43 |
Trade deadline is such a mirage. It’s all anticipation and frantic twitter refreshing, then as soon as a trade goes down we’re on to waiting for the next one. I mean David Price got traded! To the bluejays! WOW! Meanwhile I’m over here like “God this is boring, somebody throw out a rumor or something” |
| 1:43 |
Speaking of Finnegan, Am I the only one confused why the Royals didn’t try him as a major league starter this year? He seemed pretty polished. |
| 1:44 |
: Either they don’t like his change, or they just liked their veteran starters. I think they don’t think he’s a starter, but the shape and velocity on his change is good.
|
| 1:44 |
Carrasco @OAK today? Scurred |
| 1:44 |
: yes
|
| 1:44 |
Ramos, Tolleson, Allen are my three closers…. Who do I drop if any? Do you think they will keep closer role for foreseeable future and into next season? |
| 1:44 |
: keep em
|
| 1:45 |
I believe I can fly |
| 1:45 |
I also believe I can touch the sky |
| 1:45 |
Fair to call Abreu a disappointment so far this year? Or were my expectations just too high to begin with? |
| 1:46 |
: A little bit of a power disappointment but he hits a lot of ground balls, and could still get close to 30.
|
| 1:46 |
SCREW IT! IM GONNA SPREAD MY WINGS AND FLY AWAY! |
| 1:46 |
i think about trades every night and day |
| 1:46 |
18 year and 19 year old shortstop question. amed rosario, gleyber torres, albies, jorge mateo, franklin barreto. rank by floors and which you would rather have. |
| 1:48 |
: Albies Mateo / Torres Rosario Barreto.
that was tough |
| 1:48 |
I think about eno every night and day |
| 1:48 |
Drink my beer and fly away |
| 1:48 |
I dont what this chat has turned into and at this point im too afraid to ask |
| 1:48 |
: It has devolved perhaps
|
| 1:49 |
The Gleyber Elf. |
| 1:49 |
How many more years of fantasy relevance does Zobrist have? Should I try to flip him now while he is most valuable for a younger player? |
| 1:49 |
: If you’re selling, now’s a great time to sell him yes.
|
| 1:50 |
My rose is in bloom. |
| 1:50 |
Bryan Mitchell starting for the Yanks tonight. Thoughts? Yanks seem to be high on him. |
| 1:51 |
: Good velocity, doesn’t trust his change, which has bad drop numbers, good curve that’s very hard and could get a lot of whiffs, okay cutter. Ceiling is a Richards type?
|
| 1:51 |
so i’m watching the mets vs SD and wow that friars outfield D is bad. how is BJ upton still a thing?? |
| 1:51 |
: He’s Melvin now.
|
| 1:51 |
I think about baseball every night and day, to a point of fault. Like, I’m literally having sex with my girlfriend, thinking thoughts like, “I wonder if the A’s will trade Jesse Chavez.” This is entirely serious. Eno, please advise. |
| 1:51 |
: If it helps the endurance, not a problem, just don’t call her Jesse in the throes
|
| 1:52 |
Ian Desmond or Kang dynasty? |
| 1:53 |
: RoS projections actually pretty similar, and a seasonal reset could benefit Desmond, who is a year older. Kang might end up at third. I think I take Desmond still.
|
| 1:53 |
Unless her name is Jesse, then just don’t think about any players other than Jesse Chavez. |
| 1:53 |
Any place in So Cal to get Pliny’s ? I ask for them all the time at local shops but get a confused look. Ugh. |
| 1:54 |
: Doubt it but I did like Sunset Beer Company by Dodger Stadium and they wouldn’t give you a confused look at least.
|
| 1:54 |
could be worse, her name could be aj then you’d have to picture aj pierzysnki |
| 1:54 |
What about the Mets making a play at Ozuna? Miami is interested in pitching. |
| 1:54 |
: It’s a good thought. Is it the power on offense they need?
|
| 1:54 |
Are you worried about JEff Hoffman’s 70 grade curveball in Coors? |
| 1:55 |
: Yes.
|
| 1:55 |
What kind of value do I have ROS? Should I be rostered in deep 12 team leagues (with Brandon Moss being acquired and all) |
| 1:55 |
: PIscotty is a short-term replacement in most leagues.
|
| 1:55 |
Stash Ozuna? Over Soler or Fowler? |
| 1:55 |
: no
|
| 1:55 |
: well maybe over Fowler if he isn’t playing for you
|
| 1:56 |
Pineda and Nova down = Severino call-up? |
| 1:56 |
: we can hope.
|
| 1:56 |
thoughts on Padres manager pulling Upton in the 8th to mess with everyone? |
| 1:56 |
: kinda funny
|
With a phone full of pictures of pitchers' fingers, strange beers, and his two toddler sons, Eno Sarris can be found at the ballpark or a brewery most days. Read him here, writing about the A's or Giants at The Athletic, or about beer at October. Follow him on Twitter @enosarris if you can handle the sandwiches and inanity.
Assuming the 3 way trade gets done, isn’t Alex Wood too much for a Price rental ? What about Price/Cespedes for Wood, Peraza, Ethier ?
