So it wasn’t Terry’s fault, really. Just a bad situation. I wouldn’t blame it on Twitter, though, I’d blame it on the leaking party.. which seems like it was in Carlos Gomez’s camp…

: Good velocity, great slider, could be his brother. From what I’ve seen, though, the change could be better than either Archer’s or his brother’s. At least it has fade, if not great drop or velocity gap. Guessing the slider isn’t quite as good as either’s, too.

According to ZIPS, Price is worth .3 wins over Hamels the rest of the year (so call it, maybe, 1/3 run/inning?) How is that marginal benefit better than having an excellent pitcher controlled for four years for a well-below market price? |

However, with Tulo being a good OBP guy himself, and still having good good middle of the order guys in the 2,3 and 4 hole, why not have your best hitters at the top of the order? Plus Tulo gets first crack at driving in the guys at the bottom of the order, should they get on base. |
