Job Purpose: Responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of agents, clients and other baseball team members to accomplish client related projects, including statistical analysis, market analysis, contract projection, player education, salary arbitration, marketing, and social media. Support client relationships, internal-team relationships, and account operations during the development and execution of all client business affairs. Participate in new business development efforts such as recruitment and / or marketing material development. Under the direction of executive management, this position also prepares reports, presentations, and meeting agendas.

This position may be remote, but preference for Los Angeles, New York, or Tampa based applicants.

Duties:

  • Prepare statistical analyses and create visual elements to showcase findings.
  • Design and develop statistical models and tools that can be communicated to a nontechnical audience.
  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
  • Design, develop, expand, and maintain internal reporting systems (i.e. email, web-based solutions).
  • Incorporate new analysis into existing data processes to improve automated reporting.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations of players at all levels of amateur and professional baseball.
  • Support baseball staff with all tasks related to client service and management.  
  • Perform administrative tasks including file management, sponsorship invoicing, player equipment, etc.
  • Handle company, staff, and client personal matters with discretion.

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, engineering, mathematics, physics, quantitative social sciences, computer science, or operations research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, Python, and R statistical software.
  • Comfortable with modern data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, LaTeX).
  • Experience with web development (i.e. HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Shiny) technologies is preferred.
  • Requires analytical, organizational, self-management and project management abilities.
  • Requires considerable flexibility in scheduling and the willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to interact with people of all demographics.

Base salary range: $66,560 – $66,560 plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
