NERD Game Scores for Monday, May 12, 2014
Devised originally in response to a challenge issued by viscount of the internet Rob Neyer, and expanded at the request of nobody, NERD scores represent an attempt to summarize in one number (and on a scale of 0-10) the likely aesthetic appeal or watchability, for the learned fan, of a player or team or game. * = Fewer than 20 IP, NERD at discretion of very handsome author.
Carson Cistulli has published a book of aphorisms called Spirited Ejaculations of a New Enthusiast.
Perhaps handsome author should consider adjusting press time so as to be able to actually inform ungrateful reader of the day’s mlb.tv free game on a daily basis, rather than informing ungrateful reader of handsome author’s ineptitude on a daily basis.
That’s a possibility. The problem is balancing the press time against the start time of the games themselves — the earliest of which frequently begin at 1:05pm.
And the fact that Dave Cameron was just like, “Publish at 10:30am because I said publish at 10:30am.”
It’s a hostile work environment, as you can see.
