Good podcast. Every time you talk about the better teams I wish you would ask this question “can they beat the Cubs in a 7 game series.” Or better yet, what odds would would you need to see before betting $50 on the Astros to beat the Cubs in a 7 game series.
Seven game series’ are so random I think it’d be difficult to make such a prognostication.
Last year the Indians were 16 wins worse than the Cubs by baseruns, 17 by Pythag. They were up 3-1. If you can make the playoffs, you can beat the Cubs in a 7 game series.
I’d be fine with betting on them with the odds at 1:1. The postseason is a crapshoot.
