Eno Sarris: I’m here! I’m here. I’m very very tired. Boy woke me up at four am today. So please, be very weird to keep me awake.

Eno Sarris: see you at the top of the hour

Eno Sarris: Lyrics of the day:
“But Sabermetrics has its flaws. One of them, for evaluation purposes regarding the Hall, is not accounting enough for statistics era to era.”
oh ok fine since we’re off for the holidays here’s my hipster holiday music lyrics of the day
“I think it’s good to go out cause if you don’t you’ll never make a memory that will stay I think that you should wake up I think I want to live my life and you’re just in my way”

Comment From CubdomWord is Tanaka not happening – does this in any way affect shark baits value?
12:00 |
Eno Sarris: Sure, he’s probably the best non-Price pitcher “available” if so.
12:00 |
Comment From MarkWhat do you see as potential returns to Mets for Ike, Duda, Murphy. Do you think Wilmer can Replace/Handle 2nd or 1st?
12:01 |
Eno Sarris: I’d love for the Mets to option Duda, play Ike to rehabilitate value, then trade him mid-season with Flores maybe for something real. I do not think Flores can handle anything other than third or first. Murphy’s headed to third too.
12:01 |
Comment From DanAny chance JJ Hardy gets traded? What would it take?
12:01 |
Eno Sarris: I thought they were trying to sign him, and with Machado coming back from knee injury… doubt he gets traded.
12:01 |
Comment From PeteAny recent small-scale signings/trades look interesting to you?
12:01 |
Eno Sarris: Wrote about Qualls and Parra today, those were nice actually.
12:02 |
Comment From kevinthecomicIn reference to Jeff Sullivan’s article, where can I apply for the position of worst defensive catcher in MLB?
12:03 |
Eno Sarris: Just got to donate your knees, your back, and all those years of travel for some of the worst salaries in the game. Much better than we probably make though. Much better than I make lol.

Comment From RockiesD.Dahl – does he reappear as a legit prospect in 2014?
12:04 |
Eno Sarris: Sure, anyone headed in that direction with a bat deserves a little extra boost.
12:04 |
Comment From KevHey Eno! This year I’m in a 20 team league (mostly played 12’s before). Any advice/tips?
12:04 |
Eno Sarris: Know all of the depth charts, and probably the 40 mans. All of them.
12:04 |
Comment From juanpierresmustachei’m tired too, but i have no excuse. i was just up too late playing sonic racing all-stars though so it’s totally my own fault and no one else’s
12:05 |
Eno Sarris: Well you know who to blame. If I actually blame my child I feel like a heel.
12:05 |
Comment From Seattle SloughWe can write off Matt Kemp returning to form next year, or in future years, if he’s really dating Khloe Kardashian, right?
12:05 |
Eno Sarris: Well I dunno if he’ll go the full Lamar or anything, but really I’d be more worried about his plate discipline and disappearing D that was already iffy.
12:05 |
Comment From First Time PosterQuestion: What if the Astros (plenty of money to spend, absolutely no payroll, plenty of pighly touted prospects looking ahead to the future, and no albatross commitments)sign a player like Cano to a very large contract and front load the ever living hell out of it. I know these are millions of dollars here, but what if they paid something insane like 100 million in the first year and 50 in the second since their payroll is hovering around 20 million and they have the money to spend. Moving forward they would be paying a superstar a very low annual salary while being able to spend elsewhere… stupid idea or unrealistic?
12:07 |
Eno Sarris: Not terrible, I guess, but for lux tax purposes, it’s one AAV, and teams that aren’t winning aren’t making money to spend right now. Look at Houston specifically and the problems with their TV station. They aren’t making all the money that Forbes article claimed they were making. So they probably couldn’t do that. But front-load to some extent? Sign Choo? Temple made a good argument for that.
12:07 |
Comment From First Time PosterShould I be worried about Sano? I have him in a dynasty and I’ve already lost Bundy to the knift for over a year…
12:07 |
Eno Sarris: Yes. James Andrews.
12:07 |
Comment From First Time PosterKhris Davis or Tori Hunter in a dynasty? Boring answer being Davis for upside and Hunter for safety?
12:08 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah but you know what, go for the upside. Torii at this point is an empty average.
12:08 |
Comment From KrisPick two Eno! 3rd round Kemp, 14th round Starling Marte, 24th round Xander!
12:08 |
Eno Sarris: Marte Xander! Feeling frisky today.
12:08 |
Comment From STiVoHumans are bad intuitive statisticians, and human judgments contain several known biases that affect judgment. Thus, we need sabermetrics to help us separate fact from fiction in baseball. Thanks for playing your part… and happy holidays, Eno!
12:08 |
Comment From LarryADo you remember that old column on MLB.com: Klaymans Katastrophes? ya, that was cool.
12:08 |
Eno Sarris: Look at that interlude. Warm, cold, and snarky! well done.
12:09 |
Comment From First Time PosterShould I cut ties with Miguel Montero in a 2C 12 man league? I have no C prospects, but I do have Lucroy as my C1.
12:09 |
Eno Sarris: If there’s no auction cost associated with him and it’s a dynasty, I think he could bounce back some.
12:09 |
Comment From dbetWhat % of your audience do you think are hipster sabermatricians?
12:09 |
Eno Sarris: Considering we talk craft beer and indie music most of the time other than baseball, I think it’s fairly high.
12:09 |
Comment From Ringtone ComposerDavid Lough a late-rounder in 12-team mixed leagues? It seems like he might be the O’s first option at LF this year.
12:10 |
Eno Sarris: I don’t think so. It’s too crowded. Reimold, Pearce, Urrutia, Lough, all sharing two spots, and Morales not rumored in but people pointing at him…
12:10 |
Eno Sarris: Right now I’d call it a Lough/Pearce platoon in LF.
12:10 |
Comment From Brucewhats your take on plopping the little guy down in front of a movie at 4am and going back to sleep?
12:11 |
Eno Sarris: Do a version of that where we try to sleep next to him. But it’s sorta rewarding him for waking up early.
12:11 |
Comment From Mariner FanDo you think Toronto would be a good fit for N. Franklin? Could he get the Mariners a nice prospect in return?
12:11 |
Eno Sarris: They are sorta in a rough spot now. I think they trade him for a pitcher because suddenly they have no money or something. Weird team.
12:11 |
Comment From person hscerMaybe he was talking about Earned Run Average? Or maybe he thinks that plus sign in those wRC+ things just means “way cool”?
12:12 |
Eno Sarris: He was talking about ERA, but what’s weird is that VIRTUALLY EVERY VALUE STAT WE HAVE ON THIS SITE is era or year adjusted.
12:12 |
Comment From The Oriole BirdCall me crazy, but I think Choo is a great fit for the O’s. He could be the normal DH, spelling Markakis in RF when the old Greek needs a breather, right? The lineup would be so much better! (Choo/Machado/Jones/Davis/Markakis/Wieters/Hardy/Lough/2B)
12:12 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah but they acting like penny pinchers a bit. See the Balfour/Johnson situation. Was that about Weeks or saving four mill?
12:13 |
Comment From Pale HoseWhat is the maximum difference in team WAR that you would call two teams equal?
12:13 |
Eno Sarris: Wow. Well, with sequencing I wouldn’t do decimals really. Luck is huge. Maybe a 30 WAR team is similar to a 25 WAR team? both below .500, maybe one sniff 81 wins with some luck?
12:14 |
Comment From JEBAll the popular album of the year lists are coming out now. What are Eno’s favorites of 2013? Also, are we gonna get a favorite beers of 2013 list from the beergraphs guys?
12:14 |
Comment From BrucePlease rate these MI options for 2014 only: Altuve, Dozier, Alexei Ramirez
12:15 |
Eno Sarris: You got it. I’ll take Dozier’s upside and more stable HR/SB combo over Sexei’s weird career.
12:15 |
Comment From Marvelous MarvSame contract who would you have have, Cruz or Beltran?
12:15 |
Eno Sarris: Beltran. I don’t trust Cruz because of K%, defensive issues.
12:16 |
Comment From Serial SatisficerWhen you succeed Selig as Commissioner, please strongarm Miami into trading Stanton to Colorado. Everybody wins!
12:16 |
Comment From MartyEveryone be nice to Eno! He’s been having self-esteem issues since a photo was taken at the winter meetings.
12:16 |
Eno Sarris: You guys are right on today.
12:16 |
Comment From LarryAYou often talk about a different keeper strategy depending on if you are conteding or not, what the main difference?
12:17 |
Eno Sarris: Go all-in on upside the further you are away from contending. Maybe it’s worth keeping a pitcher you wouldn’t keep if he’s a good veteran and you want to chance it on his health for the way your team is constructed.
12:18 |
Comment From Rated RookieWhat stat line do you think Evan Gattis will put up with 500+ plate appearances? Where do you rank him among catchers in 2014? More simply, is his potential for HRs worth drafting?
12:18 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah you gotta take a chance on him. .250/25 seems like a safe way to project him. I think the risk is that his glove takes him out of the job though.
12:18 |
Comment From MItchMesoraco or Pinto in a dynasty?
12:19 |
Eno Sarris: Mesoraco for me. The pedigree, the opportunity, and catchers don’t always hit the ground running. In fact, they rarely run.
12:19 |
Comment From First Time PosterI am not that high on Rosario… is he overrated or am I insane?
12:19 |
Eno Sarris: You mean in real life? Sure, the lack of walks and iffy glove take from the power. In fantasy, though, giddyap.
12:19 |
Comment From FishCurrently listening to Chance the Rapper – Acid Rap. Anybody drop anything better than this or Run the Jewels – Run the Jewels? Baseball!
12:19 |
Eno Sarris: In their genres, those kicked some ass. Was Danny Brown’s album this year? I don’t even listen to albums any more.
12:20 |
Comment From EddieIf Tanaka isn’t posted over this new deal with NPB, what is the proper curse for Bud and the owners?
12:20 |
Eno Sarris: CURSE FORSEEABLE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES
12:20 |
Comment From 2ndHSSo, as a Brewers fan, here’s where my team has left me: I’m thinking Michael Young might be the best remaining 1B option. (As opposed to trading young pitching for a 1B) What’s that noise, you ask? That’s my uncontrollable sobbing being silenced by an empty beer cozy.
12:20 |
Eno Sarris: Please just give Khrush a chance there. One more chance.

12:21 |
Comment From Marvelous MarvWill Hanley get a $200 mill deal?
12:21 |
Eno Sarris: I mean, after a healthy year, maybe to play third base for the Dodgers? I doubt it, but they make things like that possible.
12:21 |
Comment From inquiring minds want to knowAdding to the AL ROY candidates: Urrutia, Eaton, Lindor
12:22 |
Eno Sarris: As Cab needs to be traded, Urrutia is an empty batting average (which could still win an award).. but Eaton… well I like Eaton, but I talked to baseball people last week that really didn’t. Cited age, lack of power, didn’t think BBs would translate.
12:22 |
Comment From ToddI looked at Ibanez’s page after he signed yesterday and saw that he was at a career -170.8 defensively for his career. I tried to see if I could find someone worse and came across Adam Dunn at -238.2. Has FG ever done an article on the lowest at each position? For some reason, I find this really interesting.
12:22 |
Eno Sarris: Sounds like a Matt Klaasen article! Hit him up.
12:23 |
Comment From LilyKeeper question: keep 4 players no limit 12 teams: Pick between Mauer and Machado….. already keeping Gomez,Desmond,Cutch??
12:23 |
Eno Sarris: I wouldn’t normally say keep Machado — I think he’s a bit overrated in fantasy — but Mauer going to 1B says take the 3B. I do think Mauer is a top-12 1B but he’s less special there.
12:23 |
Comment From GuestIs Sandy Alderson insane asking for Pirates near or possible top 100 prospect Nick Kingham for a platoon bat (Ike Davis) coming off a down year?
12:24 |
Eno Sarris: Not insane, just driving a hard bargain. And that isn’t to say he isn’t willing to throw someone in.
12:24 |
Comment From MartyWhy would a Japanese team post someone of value for $20m in 2013 when they can post a person of lesser value next yeaer for $20m…or even lesser value in 2015?
12:24 |
Eno Sarris: Well they can’t post him in 2015, he’s a free agent. And next year, he might not ask to be posted. But sure, that’s part of what happened with new rules.
12:24 |
Comment From kramerI tried the New England Brewing Co’s Ghandi-Bot last night. Was VERY surprised at how good it was. One of the best heads of a beer I can remember. Ever have it?
12:25 |
Eno Sarris: Someone I trust lists that as a favorite. I want it.
12:25 |
Comment From inquiring minds want to knowMets should option Davis and not start playing him until 2nd half… based on his track record 😛

Comment From person hscerI’ve never experienced an album like “Remain in Light” before. I want to hate it, but I keep coming back to it.
12:25 |
Comment From First Time PosterThink Heaney can come up and provide similar value to the Coles and Wheeler of the world?
12:25 |
Eno Sarris: No, he’s more polished and has less stuff, less K ability.

Comment From KrisWill the real Benoit please stand up, please stand up, please stand up

12:25 |
Comment From Mussina for HallPenny for your thoughts on Zimmerman’s two articles on hitter aging curves!
12:26 |
Eno Sarris: Very interesting. I think the samples degrade a bit when you start chopping those aging curves up, but are we going to pretend that steroids didn’t happen, aren’t somewhat less of an influence in today’s game, and didn’t have *some* impact on the game?
12:26 |
Comment From Big Boi 3Have you seen that video of Jeff Sullivan on World Star Hip Hop yet?!
12:27 |
Eno Sarris: This is some sort of lie. Link or it didn’t happen.
12:27 |
Comment From Rated RookieWhich pitcher do you prefer in 2014, Taijuan Walker or Danny Salazar? Which would you rather have in a keep *forever* dynasty league?
12:27 |
Eno Sarris: You know? Salazar. I like changeups over curves, Salazar hasn’t struggled with stuff, I think it’s all sequencing.
12:27 |
Comment From The Oriole BirdDo you think Jonathan Schoop (pronounced “Scope”) will take over the near-everyday job of 2B for the Orioles in the beginning of the 2014 season?
12:28 |
Eno Sarris: It’s him or Weeks, so it’s probably Weeks. When I’ve watched Schoop I’ve felt that he has more power than his numbers have shown, FWIW.
12:28 |
Comment From GuestThink Russ Martin/Chris Stewart pitch-framing all stars have a major impact on Bucs pitching this year? I’m guessing Stewart over Mckenry adds a win or 2 just based on his receiving.
12:28 |
Eno Sarris: I can’t wait to see Volquez’s walk rate.

12:28 |
Comment From jonWhat kind of standard 5 category fantasy production can we expect from Hak Ju lee for an avg full season when healthy?
12:29 |
Comment From JonDo you like Ike Davis as a platoon guy for the Pirates? They seem to be running out of 1B options unless they go completely off the board for someone like Jonathan Singleton or Brandon Belt…
12:29 |
Eno Sarris: Why not bite the bullet and get Morales. Gaby can spell him for defense. Worse defenders have played on the field in the NL. Maybe if the price drops far enough.
12:29 |
Comment From reddOswaldo Arcia is projected to hit 27homers per Oliver (18 per Streamer). This is awesome amazing news for my keeper league…. BUT this sounds fishy. Why isn’t he getting more love in the early mock drafts and rankings? Thanks for the awesomeness.
12:31 |
Eno Sarris: Maybe people looking at homer totals in the minors when they should be impressed by his .200+ ISOs? Worried about his batting average and wish a power-only guy didn’t play outdoors in Minnesota, but he’s interesting in the back end of any draft.
12:32 |
Comment From IanWhy do the Reds insist on making me very sad and why did I think a Surly Dumpster Fire would be a think worth seeking out?

Comment From JustinWho said the dumb thing about sabermetrics?
12:33 |
Eno Sarris: Caputo, saying that saber people don’t like Trammell and Morris, which is silly, I think we love Trammell.
12:33 |
Comment From GuestI think that Jonathan Lucroy has one of the best contracts in baseball, yet it is never talked about. In fact, so does Carlos Gomez… the Brewers aren’t bad at everything, right?
12:33 |
Eno Sarris: In fact, they are really really good at developing good framers from what Lucroy told me about the minors.
12:34 |
Comment From hamhawkwhat does “feel like a heel” even mean?
12:34 |
Eno Sarris: Not a wrestling fan? Means I would feel like a dick for blaming my son for waking up early when he’s 19 months old.
12:34 |
Comment From First Time PosterPrice for Walker straight up… is it crazy to think Walker has more trade value?
12:35 |
Eno Sarris: Way more years of control at least. But Price’s production more guaranteed. Pitching prospects have higher bust rates.
12:35 |
Comment From Ringtone ComposerHow can I teach my son (currently six months old) to be as good at baseball as Mike Trout?
12:35 |
Eno Sarris: Andruw Jones’ dad made him duck walk every time he let a fly ball drop.
12:35 |
Comment From ZachKipnis or Pedroia in Ottoneu 4×4, and by how much ($$)?
12:36 |
Eno Sarris: I’m saying Kipnis will be the number one 2B in baseball next year. But it’s a bold prediction, not necessarily one that will show in my rankings. Without steals… I take Pedroia for the runs on that team, because I think his power will bounce back once thumb heals. But it’s really close, and I love love Kipnis.

12:37 |
Eno Sarris: Hopefully not perpetuated by you.

12:37 |
Comment From JustinDoes Ned Colletti spend more hours per day on mustache maintenance than on the Dodgers’ roster?

12:37 |
Eno Sarris: Oh I don’t doubt that he spends a lot of time thinking about it. Just…

12:38 |
Comment From Royals NationWhat are the odds that the Royals platoon Moustakas and Valencia? It seems they probably should, right?
12:38 |
Eno Sarris: Since they going for it, seems fairly high at this point. I’ll be dinging Moose for that in rankings and projections. Steamer should reflect that shortly too.
12:38 |
Comment From DolmaWho to keep as my last keeper? David Robertson, Wilson Ramos or Kyle Zimmer? Love these chats!
12:39 |
Eno Sarris: I don’t think Zimmer is in this year and with bust rates on guys like him… Right now, Robertson is a closer and Ramos is a nice catcher with top-six upside. Wait until the last minute because you don’t know what the Yanks will do in the bullpen. Right now though? I’ll take a catcher over a closer. So I guess it doesn’t matter what Yanks do.
12:40 |
Comment From Jays FanAssuming they are both healthy, who has the better year Bautista or Encarnacion?
12:41 |
Comment From Long Time Talker, First Time ListenerHosmer still have upside?
12:41 |
Eno Sarris: You can’t assume they both healthy given their respective pasts. OOPS. on JBau and Encar, I’ll the younger guy because I think he’s a better be to be healthy. But if they both got 650 PAs, I take JBau.
12:42 |
Eno Sarris: Hosmer still has some upside. He could hit more fly balls and tap into that power more.
12:42 |
Comment From Rated RookieI thought Sano was able to avoid surgery.

Comment From Eastern NCBonds, HOF? I know you live in the Bay Area, but what do you really, objectively think?
12:43 |
Eno Sarris: He’s the best player I’ve ever seen play live. I understand that voting a guy that we’re sure did steroids into the hall is problematic with regards to giving young people a model, but I also don’t think it’s hard to say, hey, kid, Barry was awesome, so was Ty Cobb, but don’t be like those guys in every way. HoFer for me, no doubt.

12:44 |
Comment From EGLIn a mixed league where you control the player for 3 years, how would you rank Sonny Gray, Liriano, Taijun Walker and Wheeler ?
12:44 |
Eno Sarris: Gray, Walker, Liriano, Wheeler. Worried that none of the whiff rates were great on Wheeler’s pitches and that he needs to find his command.
12:44 |
Comment From Tsuyoshi WadaDo you think Balfour’s performance will be deserving of his two-year, $15 million salary?
12:45 |
Eno Sarris: Sure. I do think he’ll give up closer to 1.2 homers per game though. And that there will be some July stretches where people are calling for his head.

Comment From ZachLough doesn’t really have a platoon split – .314 wOBA vs. LHP and .306 vs. RHP. SSS disclaimer applies.

Eno Sarris: no but Pearce does and his wOBA v LHP is higher.
12:46 |
Comment From Orioles FanAt what point, contract-wise, does signing Morales justify losing the pick? 1/8? 1/5? Would he even sign for that much, or would he wait until after the draft?
12:46 |
Eno Sarris: Maybe something where he gets more than 1/14 but over two years? 2/20?
12:46 |
Comment From 2ndHSHave you tried showing your son a detailed PowerPoint presentation on why it would behoove him to sleep through the night?

12:47 |
Comment From MartyT/F: Mets overpaid for Granderson and could’ve better spend that money elsewhere.
12:48 |
Eno Sarris: False. They needed an outfielder, and paying 80-100 million more for the top level guys didn’t make sense, and the rest of the crew is not an upgrade over MiLB invites and Rule 5 guys. I know I just trashed Nelson Cruz, but look at his WAR totals for the last three years. Do I love the fourth year? No.
12:48 |
Comment From LarryAIs someone at Beergraphs working 24/7 to figure out how to get Guiness out of the top 10?
12:49 |
Eno Sarris: There’s a dude that checks in to them like twenty times a day, no lie. With five stars every time.
12:49 |
Comment From 5-cent headIf you look at what the A’s did here in the hot stove league, why do the METS, who I desperately want to support, seem to be lacking? The management at the Mets re coming from the same intellectual background, but should have more $ to spend. Are my expectations too high?
12:49 |
Eno Sarris: I think your expectations about money to spend are too high. I think the team is rotten at the very top, like the Knicks. Not the GM, higher up.

Comment From balkLast Friday my daughter was accepted into Stanford University’s Class of 2018. As an alum, would you recommend that she enroll next fall?
12:51 |
Eno Sarris: F Yeah I recommend that to her. Congratulations! And for you. So sorry, so so sorry. Enjoy the bills!
12:51 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheyeah but how come no one talks about adjusting pitcher wins for era, huh? might as well call 162 games a “performance-enhancing season”
12:51 |
Eno Sarris: Not bad, but who cares about wins.
12:51 |
Comment From Harris KDid you ever get any Cigar City? I am planning on going to their tasting room next week when I visit my Sister.
12:51 |
Eno Sarris: NO I DID NOT AND I BLAME DISNEY WORLD.
12:51 |
Comment From Bmore GuyMachado come game time: Just as effective as before, effective or less effective due to injury?
12:52 |
Eno Sarris: Maybe the defensive numbers go down. Maybe the power that’s supposedly coming takes a bit longer to come.
12:52 |
Comment From KonerkoWhat’s your opinion on Matt Davidson? Good player or potentially more in playing in Chi? Should we be excited?
12:52 |
Eno Sarris: Bad BA, good OBP, good power, bad D. Might not be a third baseman, but they’ll try him for a while. Think a young Mark Reynolds.
12:53 |
Comment From Guestread something recently (might have been a comment on beergraphs) that defined “craft beer” as being the big breweries attempts at creating microbrew. Then labeled it too cheap to be as tasty as micro, too expensive to be consumed in place of cheap big brews. you agree? or do you define craft beer differently?
12:54 |
Eno Sarris: Craft brewers are defined by the Brewer’s Association as anything that produces less than Sam Adams basically. So none of the big beers count. I forget the number for micro brewers, but that’s on their website too. I linked it here http://beergraphs.com/bg/278-the-next-big-little-beer/ (and yes, that’s really the head honcho at Lagunitas commenting on the piece)

12:55 |
Comment From Senor PoopChristmas is proof that the Devil exists.
12:55 |
Comment From Dustin DiamondTiffani Amber Thiessen: GO!
12:55 |
Eno Sarris: Okay that was pretty weird.
12:56 |
Comment From 101Do you expect a bounce back season for J. Reyes or is he in decline?
12:56 |
Eno Sarris: He’s in decline by any definition of the word, but I do think he can be healthy for a full season again.
12:56 |
Comment From closing timeHow does Addison Reed’s trade to Arizona impact his value in a dynasty league that counts saves, but not holds?
12:56 |
Comment From MartyAre Ventura or Salazar on Innings limits? Are they top 20 yet?
12:57 |
Eno Sarris: I wouldn’t put either in the top 20, too many questions left, particularly what Yordano does past the big FB. I think both can at least make 180+ so it’s not a big deal IP limit if there is one.
12:57 |
Comment From Kings Lead HatThink the Mets go into 2014 with Ike/Duda at 1B, Murphy at 2B, and Tejada at SS, or does Sandy have a Christmas miracle in store for us?
12:58 |
Eno Sarris: Picked for the handle. since Duda has an option and most of the media and fans have bought into the idea that 2015 is more important than 2014 because of Harvey, I think Alderson stands pat if he doesn’t get a real prospect for Ike.
12:58 |
Comment From JoeyBelleSo you never did get that Jai Alai, huh? Sad face.
12:58 |
Eno Sarris: I’ve had their dry-hopped beer in a trade, but yeah, I”m pissed about Jai Alai.
12:59 |
Comment From JamesSitting on our league’s top rookie pick, with Tanaka/Abreu seemingly top talent available. Already own Bundy/Bradley and would have to drop one if I claimed either Tanaka/Abreu. I won last year and I have a handshake deal in place to trade top rookie pick for Beltre. Good move? Or is one of Tanaka/Abreu special enough to drop Bundy or Bradley and not acquire Beltre?
12:59 |
Eno Sarris: I’d take Abreu and then I’d take Beltre over Abreu so yeah well done.
12:59 |
Comment From Left Hand foreverAdam Jones or Justin Upton in an OBP keeper league?
12:59 |
Eno Sarris: Upton! Jones could only steal like 11 this year, and hten Upton’s OBP will matter.
1:00 |
Comment From STiVoWhat’s your favorite beer you tasted for the first time in 2013?
1:00 |
Eno Sarris: I’ll have to look through my untappd feed but it’s probably a Cantillon sour. We’ll have something like this up on BeerGraphs tomorrow.
1:00 |
Comment From ConradHow would Ervin work out in Seattle, the said rumors are true & they do sign him?
1:00 |
Eno Sarris: Still doesn’t have a third pitch, but the park helps suppress the homers. Not as good as last year, but not as bad as the year before.
1:01 |
Comment From Chris B.Battle of the cheap-but-marginal 3B-qualified bounce-back candidates for Ottoneu points: Gyorko, Headley, Lawrie. (hyphenhyphenhyphen)
1:01 |
Eno Sarris: I actually like them all, so on some level, you can go cheapest. Lawrie’s SBs mean less, but he walks more than Gyorko. Headley number one if all the same price, especially since he could get traded.
1:02 |
Comment From JoeyBelleAre you aware the the oregon has a minor league team called the Hillsboro Hops, and there logo is a big animated Hop? Im dying to know what beer is available at that stadium
1:02 |
Eno Sarris: Bridgeport Beer is there! “Long Ball Ale”
1:02 |
Comment From MartyCURSE NEGATIVE EXTERNALITIES: if an NPB team’s going to get $20m this year, or $20m in 2014, or $20m in 2015, why wouldnt they just release the guy the last year of his contract??
1:02 |
Eno Sarris: They’re not going to get 20m in 2015. they could get it next year.
1:03 |
Eno Sarris: They’d have to do it with a year remaining, in other words.
1:03 |
Comment From Minnesota TripletWill Mauer still have C eligibility in 2014 in Yahoo?
1:03 |
Eno Sarris: yes. Because last year.
1:03 |
Comment From MartyDo you think Bogaerts becomes 3B and SS eligible? If so, how delicious is that?
1:03 |
Eno Sarris: Right now, yes, and even if they sign Drew, yes. And yes.
1:03 |
Comment From juan pierres mustachethe terrible fielding all-star game would be the most fun to watch
1:04 |
Eno Sarris: Was talking with Bill James and Rob Neyer that we should bring back the skills competition type stuff instead of that god-awful celebrity softball game.
1:04 |
Comment From Gila MonsterAm I the only one who love the Padres pitching? My irrational love for Cashner, Josh Johnson and Luebke can be aces when healthy,Ross/Birch Smith have high upside with nice K rates, Ian Kennedy/Stults can eat innings, and you have Erlin/Wieland/Kelly giving you some depth. Theie positions players aren’t terrible too. Could the compete in the NL West if they can stay healthy?
1:04 |
Eno Sarris: It’s not all bad in San Diego. That rotation is good, actually. It hangs on some ligaments, but doesn’t everybody’s.
1:04 |
Comment From MItchI hear some people rave about Urrutia’s gap power. Couldn’t that turn into something?
1:05 |
Comment From First Time PosterWould you rather be trapped on a spaceship with an alien from Alien, or in the middle of the Vietnam jungle with the Predator stalking you? Reason?
1:05 |
Eno Sarris: Jungle. At least it’s earth.
1:05 |
Comment From Gila MonsterEno, it is too cold to Go Outside- Cults.
1:05 |
Eno Sarris: And isn’t it just a great holiday song?
1:05 |
Comment From RansomWho do you think puts it together for the long term, Myers or Puig? Does Myers have the higher floor with Puig already showeing us the higher ceiling?
1:06 |
Eno Sarris: yeah Puig’s K% looks like it will rise based on his swSTR rate and O-swing, while Myers has a chance to better his. Puig more of a fantasy monster, and maybe if he refines his game, could be more all-around… I think the floor/ceiling stuff you say is right.
1:06 |
Comment From DLoweEno, do you like any of the following starting pitchers for next year (standard 5 x 5? Feldman, C Morton, Maholm, Beachy, M Estrada… Thanks
1:07 |
Eno Sarris: Like Beachy some. Estrada. Morton only if he says above 93 mph in spring.
1:07 |
Comment From DLoweSo, Eno, does Axford win (and hold down) the closer job in CLE or does Cody Allen still have a shot at the job?
1:08 |
Eno Sarris: Ax at the beginning of the year — keeps Allen cheaper and makes sense if they competing. If they don’t compete, and Ax not great, Allen gets a shot later on. he’s great.
1:08 |
Comment From BradDo you think Homer Bailey has potential to be a top 10 pitcher this year? TIA
1:09 |
Eno Sarris: He was 23rd in our rankings this year, and no I don’t think he’ll be much better this year.
1:09 |
Comment From RazorWhat are you getting from Santa beer-wise? Baseball-wise?
1:10 |
Eno Sarris: I’m going to try to go to Alpine Brewing while down in SD, so that’ll be awesome. I asked for work stuff: digital recorder, spanish language rosetta stone, new phone, that sort of stuff. boring.
1:10 |
Comment From person hscerSteroids didn’t happen, it was a rumor started by Derek Jeter to make everyone else look bad.
1:11 |
Comment From scatterbrianHey Eno! Is a Moss/Callaspo platoon at 1B really the current plan?
1:11 |
Eno Sarris: Moss/Barton, no? I have to look at the final spot or two on that roster. I thought Callaspo would get traded after they signed Punto.
1:11 |
Comment From 2ndHSFrom what I’ve heard, Krush Davis is to 1B as Ryan Braun is to 3B, so no more chances!
1:11 |
Comment From LarryAIts pronounced La-goon-ee-tas? Right?
1:11 |
Comment From juan pierres mustachei hope volquez pulls a liriano and becomes awesome in pittsburgh, but he won’t
1:12 |
Comment From MartyWhat beer do you rec for seafood themed Christmas Eve dinner?
1:12 |
Eno Sarris: Feel like a stout or porter would be so strange next to seafood. Saison is my bet.
1:12 |
Comment From RetirenuttingHuntington said they wouldn’t surrender a draft pick for Morales, fwiw.
1:13 |
Eno Sarris: Well then. No Loney. No Morales. They gonna trade… or Mark Reynolds?
1:13 |
Comment From person hscer“Worse defenders have played on the field in the NL.” *Adam Dunn nods* *Michael Morse shudders*
1:13 |
Comment From Ryan FlahertyAny particular reason you don’t think I have an inside track for the Orioles starting 2B job? Most birds fans seem to think it’s mine to lose. Was it my first half? It was my first half wasn’t it…
1:14 |
Eno Sarris: Maybe the D really is good, but he seems big for a 2B, and I don’t see average upside in any key category — BB, K, ISO, Speed. Maybe he starts it, but I don’t think he keeps it.
1:15 |
Comment From FishHow does Panda at first sound for the Bucs? Weight not really a worry there (looking at you, Prince). Though, SF doesn’t really have anyone to fill 3B.
1:15 |
Eno Sarris: SF is going into the season thinking they are a contender. Mid-season Pablo trade if they fall out of it? Totally possible/plausible maybe even probable.
1:16 |
Comment From MattAre you surprised more teams weren’t in on Hart? Seem like a good fit to play first for the Buccs,Red Sox,Rox,Rays,Astros,Marlins..etc given the fact that he cost next to nothing and and should worry too much about someones knee at 1st.
1:16 |
Eno Sarris: I’m sure the doctor’s reports were a big deal.
1:16 |
Comment From SeymourWhy not bite the bullett for Kendrys? When was the last time that a Boras client was willing to give a discount to get one of his players? Clearly a 14M per yr player falls far outside what the Bucs are willing to spend there, not to mention the draft pick.
1:16 |
Eno Sarris: Boras client Lohse signed for less than market value late in the offseason with a non-contender because of a draft pick compensation issue.
1:17 |
Comment From GSonB-Rob or Mike Aviles as the “back up infielder” for my fantasy team?
1:17 |
Eno Sarris: Why do I still have a bit of a thing for Roberts.
1:17 |
Eno Sarris: Holy crap I’m 45 minutes behind the feed. I’ll try to pick it up.
1:17 |
Comment From JBDI don’t have time to read your article. So… WHO IS THE NEXT JOAQUIN BENOIT?
1:18 |
Eno Sarris: Manny Parra or Chad Qualls.
1:18 |
Comment From Andy5Am I crazy for thinking the Brewers are better off signing Michael Young for a year to play 1B than trading young, controllable pitching for Ike?
1:18 |
Eno Sarris: Also an option for the Bucs.
1:18 |
Comment From Seymour“Murphy’s headed to 3B too.” ? what do you mean?? He’s not great at 2B but has made himself into an adequate guy there. He hasn’t logged any real time at 3B in yrs. His bat plays well only at 2B and eventually he’ll be an uber-UT guy.
1:18 |
Eno Sarris: I mean I don’t think he’s really that adequate at second and his glove is headed to third, or super util, whatever.
1:19 |
Comment From MartyHave you been to scout school? Any desire? One of the BP guys went, seemed like a good experience. A team sponsored him.
1:19 |
Eno Sarris: I’m intrigued by it. Doubt I could get a team to sponsor me.
1:19 |
Comment From JBDDo you think you’ll work in the baseball industry for the rest of your career?
1:19 |
Eno Sarris: No idea. I doubt I’ll ever work in baseball though.
1:19 |
Comment From Rated RookieThe Braves move to suburbs makes me sad.
1:20 |
Comment From GuestCould the Mets get one of the young SS from the D’Backs or Mariners for Mejia?
1:20 |
Eno Sarris: See that’s the idea I like. If they can get pitching for Ike and turn Mejia into Ahmed or something… might need to be other pieces involved but I like it. Franklin’s not a shortstop.

Comment From Andy5I’m interested in trying some European (or any non-U.S.) beers. I’ve had stuff from Carlsburg and liked it. Any suggestions on some good starter beers?
1:21 |
Eno Sarris: I say it a lot, but Saison Dupont will let you know if you a) like Saisons or b) want to get heavier and into Belgian beers.
1:22 |
Comment From MartyHave you ever played in a weekly lineup league? Would it be good to get friends who are lazy and drop out midseason, or not worth the trouble?
1:22 |
Eno Sarris: I play in some and thank god because I’m in 12 leagues. Those are always a little easier.
1:22 |
Comment From MartyI know myself well enough to have left early.
1:23 |
Comment From ozziefrank thomas should be a 1st ballot HOF, right?
1:23 |
Eno Sarris: Won’t be because DH too long, but I love him. Not his beer.
1:23 |
Comment From person hscer“perpetuated”? Did you mean “perpetrated”? or both?
1:23 |
Eno Sarris: Perpetrated probably. I’m TIRED.
1:23 |
Comment From EddieDavid Price for Jeremy Brown: Who hangs up first: The Rays, or Mrs. Jeremy Brown?
1:23 |
Comment From ChadWill James Paxton start the year in the Mariners rotation? Will he have success?
1:24 |
Eno Sarris: I was down on Paxton, but the velocity came back when the knee was good. Now the problem is the change is no good. Still, with that velocity and even a show-me change I think he can be pretty good.
1:24 |
Comment From KrisGoing from McCann and David Ross to Doumit, Gattis and Laird is going to have a large negative effect on Braves pitchers, isn’t it? I mean that’s a huge dropoff in catcher defense…
1:24 |
Eno Sarris: it’s like the opposite of what’s happening in Pitt.
1:24 |
Comment From JustinActual Baseball Question(tm): it seemed like Ryu faded down the stretch a bit last year. What do you expect from him in 2014?
1:25 |
Eno Sarris: I was down on him based on velocity going in, so long term that velocity still bothers me. But the change is a little better than I thought and all his pitches look the same coming out of his hand, so I thnk he’ll be good again.
1:25 |
Comment From First Time PosterA garnish for a beer is like an erection at a funeral… they happen but no one is happy about them.
1:25 |
Comment From crowdog27resubmitting now that i’ve signed in. am i crazy to want to try to trade Verlander for Xander B?
1:26 |
Eno Sarris: Yes, if only because the Tigers have some options at third and are competing now.
1:26 |
Comment From Seymouryou think the Rox will go into the season with all youth at 2B – DJLM, Rutledge or Culberson? Daniel Murphy looks like a good fit there if the Mets are really serious about moving him. Rox also in the midst of very active winter and so why stop now?
1:26 |
Eno Sarris: Decent fit. Wonder what Sandy would ask for, can’t be pitching.
1:26 |
Comment From First Time PosterIs it weird that you sound like Casey Kasem in my head? Also, I don’t know how he spells his name.
1:27 |
Comment From DavidAm I missing something, or does it appear that no one listens to the Cults?

1:27 |

1:27 |
Comment From DavidIt’s like Fight Club. The first rule of Hipsterdom is to deny one’s Hipsterdom.
1:27 |
Comment From SadwickI always thought a good approach to the steroid guys, like Bonds, would be to induct them into the Hall and not invite them to the induction ceremony. Just quietly hang the name on the wall and leave it be.
1:28 |
Eno Sarris: Now see that’s not terrible to me. I understand it’s problematic, but it’s a Hall of Fame, not a Hall of Good Guys.
1:28 |
Comment From SteveIn a 14-team keeper league and I need to dump some salary for next year. Is trading a $21 Wieters, $16 J. Zimm, $6 Tillman and free prospect Odor for a $1 Wilson Ramos and $1 Zack Wheeler too much to give up?
1:28 |
Eno Sarris: I don’t think you need put Odor in there.
1:28 |
Comment From ?I was looking at David Robertson’s page the other day and noticed that his fastball velocity has been declining for a few years, he all but gave up the change in favor of more curves last year, and all the peripherals like swstr% f-str% and k% seem to be headed in the wrong direction. Any worries about an implosion in the near future?
1:29 |
Eno Sarris: Relievers age poorly, so yes. He’s still pretty good.

1:29 |
Eno Sarris: Brooks Baseball.
1:29 |
Comment From LarryAAre you has high on Tyson Ross as everyone else?
1:30 |
Eno Sarris: The changeup is terrible. I’m not super into him. Also, look at his mechanics. Train wreck. Could be good this year, though, and the home park helps.
1:30 |
Comment From ChrisAbout Machado in 4×4 ottoneu: in arb voting, his salary got bumped to $29. This is too much, no? I should try to trade him for something, anything?
1:30 |
Eno Sarris: Yes, too much.
1:30 |
Comment From MItchWho’s the closer in TB come June?

1:31 |
Comment From Eminor3rdThanks for grabbing a beer with me and my gf in Orlando

1:31 |
Comment From MartyDon’t get Eno started on the Stanford Econ program….
1:32 |
Eno Sarris: Keep your daughter away from Econ there, or at least take her to a developing country so she can see how these things really work on the ground.
1:32 |
Comment From HughIf you didn’t live in the Bay Area, where would you want to live?
1:32 |
Eno Sarris: New York City. Brooklyn. Barcelona.
1:33 |
Comment From JayCaputo’s point is he doesn’t want anything quantified. He just wants to be able to say Player X is better than Player Y because he played in a tougher era. Boom. Debate over. It’s way easier to write an article that way.
1:33 |
Comment From Eastern NCT/F: Starlin Castro is a good buy-low guy this year.
1:33 |
Eno Sarris: True. I take him to hit .280 12/20 or so.
1:33 |
Comment From MartyYankees get better or worse so far this offseason/
1:33 |
Eno Sarris: In just the McCann/Ellsbury/Cano decision, they got better. Unfortunately, the pitching didn’t get better.
1:34 |
Eno Sarris: I dunno man I was at the Swan and Dolphin and it wasn’t there, went to ESPN zone on the boardwalk, and they were out. Gar.
1:34 |
Comment From Eastern NCETA on Javier Baez and Kris Bryant 2014?
1:35 |
Eno Sarris: Scouts in Arizona all agreed that Bryant could be up this year if they don’t want him to play third. He did look bad with the glove. Baez will force the issue this year, maybe even this spring, and will be up first. Worst case July for Baez, September for Bryant.
1:36 |
Comment From kevinthecomicMy son learned to tell time at the age of 4 because he used to go to preschool, which he loved, at NOON. Starting around 8:30am, he would badger his mother (my wife) about whether or not it was time to leave every 15 minutes. She finally sat him down and explained the wonders of the analog clock. Your son sounds bright, see if you can teach him to tell time, even though he is only 18 months old
1:36 |
Comment From RazorTaking over an ottoneu team that has a $23 Jimmy Rollins and a $15 Alcides. It’s my first time with ottoneu, but I’m better off just throwing those guys back and picking up someone off auction waivers, right?
1:36 |
Eno Sarris: Chance Alcides is worth $15 in a 5×5 ottoneu, but yes on Rollins if you’re in points or 4×4, yes on both.
1:37 |
Comment From GuestPujols had 80 extra-base hits in 2012.
1:37 |
Eno Sarris: What a great tidbit. He cold absolutely be a value play this year. But at his age — actually at any age — I don’t believe ‘doubles turn into home runs.’
1:37 |
Comment From JasonAgreed that Surly is a bit overrated, but have you had their Abrasive DIPA? One of the best out there.
1:38 |
Eno Sarris: I have had it. Liked it, yes. But generally…
1:38 |
Comment From HelloThought on J. Shields? Is he ever going to slow down? Guy is always 200+ innings and high K/9
1:39 |
Eno Sarris: We saw some stuff in the injury zone that seemed predictive — late-game inconsistency in release points and flagging velo — but yeah that was in late 2012 haha.

1:39 |
Comment From StephenAny thoughts as to why George Springer projected AVG is much, much lower than the rates he’s hit thus far in the minors?
1:39 |
Eno Sarris: MiLB BABIPs are higher, and MLB K rates are higher, and his K rates in the minors are already bad.
1:40 |
Comment From Varson VistuliiDo you have any sense what portion of your chat readers don’t care about beer talk? I guess it doesn’t matter…

Comment From MiketronChristmas tree question. Real tree, fake tree, or no tree?
1:41 |
Eno Sarris: Real tree. Small.
1:41 |
Comment From Shark MapiroThoughts on BA’s suggestion that NPB teams could get around the posting rules by posting a second player and forcing the signing team to get both and pay both posting fee’s?
1:41 |
Eno Sarris: Too crazy for real life. I mean, I love it, but when was the last time you saw anyone get around rules like this?
1:41 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheFirestone Walker XVII, 30 bucks for a bomber. Yes/No/Only if Christmas bonus is more than expected?
1:41 |
Eno Sarris: I really really really enjoyed that beer.
1:42 |
Comment From edHow far can you actually get with platooning? If there are a bunch of high split guys available, could you get above average production from like an entire outfield? At what point do you run out of space?
1:43 |
Eno Sarris: The value of the roster spot does start to take a toll on the situation. I thought about this last year for the Mets. Could you platoon each outfield spot? That means six outfielders. You could have six infielders, then, but two are catchers. Means that either one of your outfielders can play the infield, or your super utility guy can play everywhere and is awesome.
1:43 |
Comment From MartyRe: Posting. Not talking specifically about Tanaka, but there is no incentive to let anyone walk from NPB with multiple years left. Ever.

Eno Sarris: Everyone poo-poos this, but there is a cultural dance going on here. Once the player is public in his stance about wanting to go, it gets more difficult for his team in Japan. They have to do things like publicly offer him the highest salary every offered to a player in the NPB, have pressers about how they are trying their hardest to change his mind. The players are watching, and they want to think they can ask to go when they are a superstar. And conflict is a bit more of a problem in Japan, in my experience. I’m not saying this as a blanket thing about all Japanese players, it’s just my experience with the culture. Worked at a japanese company for five years, went to Japan three times a year.

Comment From RazorI didn’t get the Laguintas owner’s comment on the beergraphs article. What was he saying?
1:46 |
Eno Sarris: he could have been scarcastic, but he’s mad at Sam Adams, so I think he was happy that we were saying they are primed for growth into the Sam Adams stratosphere.
1:46 |
Comment From person hscer(to be read in a crescendo) seafood on Christmas Eve ARE YOU MAD???
1:46 |
Comment From Seymoursure, but do you think the Bucs will “bite the bullett” at 11M per if they are looking at Ike Davis for 4M ?
1:46 |
Eno Sarris: Depends on how much they like Kingham/prospect, since it’s $4m plus a prospect.
1:47 |
Comment From ARE WE HUMAN?Would you be looking to sell Miggy in dynasty? Going to be losing 3B eligibility + keeps getting dinged up.
1:47 |
Eno Sarris: It’s about time to, yes.
1:47 |
Comment From Pirates HurdlesDo you mean Owings, not Ahmed? I doubt anyone wants a 23 year old who can’t hit at AA.
1:47 |
Eno Sarris: Ah yes, Owings, sorry. Or a lesser prospect for Ahmed. I’m not done watching Ahmed.
1:47 |
Comment From SteveHow bout hearing “Trumbo is an all around better hitter than Goldschmidt.” yesterday on MLB Network?
1:48 |
Eno Sarris: Good god what
1:48 |
Comment From SadwickThe Braves move makes me feel a lot things. I was happy they got a new stadium, sad when I found out where it was, annoyed they still have zero public transit access, and amazed they didn’t try to dodge Atlanta’s hot mess of a traffic situation putting themselves squarely up shit creek at the intersection of 75 and 285. Then I started drinking, and I felt alcohol about the whole thing.
1:48 |
Eno Sarris: I was mad and thought it was a first, moving into the suburbs, but then Bill James laughed at me and pointed out like eight times it’s happened before. Does that make it better?
1:48 |
Comment From Guestwhat baseball player would have the best beer? Mike Trout stout?
1:48 |
Eno Sarris: There’s a beer called Trout Slayer by Big Sky.
1:49 |
Comment From johnIm sorry, but Sandy Alderson said the other day that Eric Young’s speed doesn’t do them any good on the bench. 1) Sabermetrics doesn’t value stolen bases; 2) You still have to get on base to use the speed, and 3) wasn’t speed being his positive skill why Sandy didn’t even discuss extension with Reyes? Come on Eno, you can’t still be supporting this guy. EYJr doesn’t belong on a baseball team, let alone an every day line up LEADING OFF!
1:50 |
Eno Sarris: I’m as stymied as you are by this. We’ll see what actually happens. Saber does value stolen bases if they come at a 66+% clip, though. And speed is valuable, just not a good only reason to give a guy like Reyes all that money.

Comment From Guesti love that cults song but i am so bad with lyrics!
1:50 |
Comment From PopsAny chance Buxton makes an impact next year? Worth drafting late in a keeper?
1:51 |
Eno Sarris: He as Trout-like upside. I think he’ll have less power though. and probably won’t show up until September, if at all.
1:51 |
Comment From PopsRazzball has touted Cody Asche as a sleeper. Could his numbers compare to a guy like Kyle Seager?
1:52 |
Eno Sarris: I picked him up in a 20-team dynasty, but i wish it wasn’t an OBP league. I think he could be a low-OBP ok-contact guy with sneaky power and a few stolen bases, but I wouldn’t call him a Seager.
1:52 |
Comment From Seymourwhat about Murphy for Rutledge?
1:53 |
Eno Sarris: I was thinking about that. I wouldn’t hate it myself because I kinda like Rutledge. Sandy doesn’t seem to care about defense that much, so Rut-Rut d not a big deal. The OBP might scare Sandy off though.
1:53 |
Comment From Fat BastardI’m liking me some Gausman,as a matter of fact I’ll have another scoop please!
1:53 |
Eno Sarris: I just wrote his player cap and I drooled as much as you while writing it. One of my favorite sleepers for this year.
1:53 |
Comment From PopsPeter Bourjos or Adam Eaton nexr year?
1:53 |
Eno Sarris: I’ll take Eaton! Bourjos has like 300 PA over the last two years combined.
1:53 |
Comment From Harris KHamburg? Berlin?
1:54 |
Eno Sarris: Hamburg a bit cold, but Berlin, yeah that would be on the list.

1:55 |
Comment From LarryAWith some BABAP luck, if Denard Span can OBA .340, can he score 100 runs at the top of a strong Nats lineup?
1:55 |
Eno Sarris: Don’t forget he once had health issues. But sure. that’s about all of his value with like 18 steals and two homers.
1:56 |
Comment From Schrodingers Zombiehow do u tell whether a question (comment from ed) is about fantasy vs real life baseball?
1:56 |
Eno Sarris: I just try to answer on both levels unless there’s an obvious clue asking about dropping/keeping/picking up — I *assume* there’s no GM here asking me about trading for a player.

Comment From juan pierres mustachein a general sense, i would say weirdness has been achieved. the last chat i recall being this weird was when i was unemployed and participating at home and it was a friday and i was a little bit day-drunk. actually, that last part might be the only relevant fact
