Eno Sarris: He cut his strikeout rate against righties! This is important, because it used to be turrible. Now it’s just bad. He whoops lefties, but he needs to continue improving against righties. I asked him what’s going on, and he evaded answering really. Just felt that this was the first time he’s felt healthy, has stayed healthy, and has gotten good playing time.

Eno Sarris: Blip. His HR/FB in June was 27%. Still hitting over 50% on the ground. I revised my .280/20/15 expectations down to 15/15 when he was going bad, I’ll bump them back up to 20/15. This is why you have to be really patient when a hitter looks about the same but the power is missing. Especially when they young. Power takes forever to stabilize.

9:24	Eno Sarris: that one might be worth it. I don’t love A-Jax (think he’s a .280/15/20 kind of guy true talent), but with Aoki’s SB problems, I’d like you to have two guys in that role. I’d take it. Nice veteran boost late in the season.

if you look at kemp’s batted ball distance on fly balls and home runs, he has recently been trending significantly up since returning from the DL. his avg. fly ball distance is near 300 ft again, which suggests to me he is finally healing from his shoulder injury. A-Gonz and Hanley had similar surgeries on their opposite shoulder and seem to have regained their power. i see this as a perfect opportunity to buy low on Kemp. Trumbo + Greinke for Kemp + Hellickson. what do you think for a 12-team H2H keeper league?

9:42	Eno Sarris: I did wonder if the DL stint for his hammy might let his shoulder heal. Greinke’s probably not getting any velo back, and kemp’s probably the best player in that deal… the probablies make me nervous, but it’s a decent trade, two useful pieces for a shot at a star.
