Will we see an Android app?

Sports Nation has an Android app. I think that’s more appropriate. FG, please don’t stoop to that lower class.

There are more android devices out there than i-devices. Why anyone wouldn’t want to put it out for Android is just bad business. As for your pot shot at Android being a lower class…. let me know when the i-phone can compare its speed or functionability to that of the top end android phones. The only advantage that they have is the better app store, which is due to it having a two year head start on the Android Market.

“people who get their stats from espn.com use iphones”

One of the great comments I’ve seen in a long time.

I bought it. Not sure how much I’ll use it but at $.99 I’m happy to support the great work on the site.

I can’t find the link for the Android app?

You’d think after the clamor for an android version of the app last year that some progress would have been made in that direction. Is there progress in that direction? Please tell me there is progress in that direction.

how about you just make a decent mobile website, enough with the apps.

Because apps make money. Mobile websites don’t. We are all fans, but FG has bills to pay too.

If that was true, they would have made an Android app a long time ago

Yeah, I side with the android app suggestions. I find it sad that a forward thinking and analytical website wouldn’t service the better products.

….and what about those of us who purchased the app on REAL opening day back on 3/28?

I mean, I didn’t buy it then either… but if I did I’d be upset.

Colin

Yeah…was hoping an Android app would have been in the mix last year. Definitely expected one this year. My homepage on my Android phone is Fangraphs and the regular site works just fine. But I’d buy an app if it were available.

I think FanGraphs should make an Android app.

I agree with all that’s being said…it’s just fundamental business 101…and the reason I wouldn’t hire an accountant from the “Big 10″…’cause…they can’t count the number of schools in their conference!! 🙂

Bottom line: Android running on more phones = accessing a larger pool of people spending $$…make the damn android app. or…maybe the powers that be ARE from a “Big 10” school of accounting and/or business?? 🙂
