Meeting of the Corey Kluber Society Tonight
The Purpose of This Post
The purpose of this post is to announce a meeting tonight, at 8:05pm ET, of the Corey Kluber Society.

About the Corey Kluber Society
The Corey Kluber Society (CKS), founded right now, is composed of individuals scattered across this absurd nation, all bound by their singular fascination with Cleveland right-hander Corey Kluber. The Society’s constitution, should it ever be written, would very likely note that said individuals are dedicated to promoting awareness of Kluber’s talents despite what fascist metrics like “win-loss record” and “ERA” might otherwise suggest.

Becoming a Member
Because there are no dues, nor any other sort of obligation, becoming a member is easy: one need only linger on Corey Kluber’s player profile and allow himself to become singularly fascinated.

Attending a Meeting
Meetings are informal and held during Kluber’s starts — on every member’s own respective couch, generally — beginning with Kluber’s first pitch and ending with his (i.e. Kluber’s) last pitch.

Regional Chapters
Chapters of the Society are formed spontaneously — and dissipate just as quickly — at any moment when two or more individuals invoke Kluber’s name and recognize that he is surprisingly talented for a 27-year-old who entered the season with just 67 major-league innings pitched.

Well, shoot. I could have been at that Corey Kluber game. My friend wanted to go to the A’s series instead.

Choose your friends wisely, dear Daily Notes readers.
