Here’s the table of contents for today’s edition of Daily Notes.

Three Notable Prospects Promoted to Double-A
Player: Dylan Bundy, RHP, Baltimore
Promotion: High-A Frederick to Double-A Bowie
Notes: Bundy’s 11 starts at High-A (54.1 IP, 63 K, 17 BB) were decidedly not as dominant as the eight he’d made before that at South Atlantic League affiliate Delmarva (during which he posted a 40:2 K:BB in 30.0 innings and conceded just five hits), but they were still excellent. Bundy made his Double-A debut Tuesday night. Here’s his line from that game (box): 5.0 IP, 3 K, 3 BB, 8:3 GO:FO. And here, courtesy David Driver at MiLB.com, is a brief note on what he (i.e. Bundy) threw: “Bundy relied on a fastball in the mid-90s but had trouble finding the zone with his curve[,] as two breaking pitches stayed high in the first two innings.”

Player: Anthony Rendon, 3B, Washington
Promotion: High-A Potomac to Double-A Harrisburg
Notes: The No. 6 overall pick in 2011 out of Rice University, Rendon has dealt with injuries pretty constantly since then, putting together just 78 plate appearances this year. Those 78 plate appearances (across three levels, not including Tuesday) have been pretty excellent, however. Regard, Rendon’s line: .308/.423/.615, 3 HR, 12 BB, 13 K. Rendon started at third base in his Double-A debut on Tuesday (box).

Player: Michael Zunino, C, Seattle
Promotion: Low-A Everett to Double-A Jackson
Notes: It’s zero percent surprising that Zunino has received a promotion, on account of he was hitting very well (133 PA, .373/.474/.736, .413 BABIP) at Everett. Of note, however, is how the Mariners have elected to send Zunino directly to Jackson, bypassing two minor-league levels (Class-A Clinton, High-A High Desert) completely. Zunino played in his second game with Jackson on Tuesday (box). At 21, Zunino is about three years younger than the average Southern League batter.

Today’s Notable Games
Tampa Bay at Seattle | 15:40 ET ***MLB.TV Free Game***
Here’s a dreadfully plain graph of Felix Hernandezaverage velocity by start this year:

Readers’ Preferred Broadcast: Tampa Bay Radio.

Cleveland at Los Angeles AL | 22:05 ET
Like embattled filmmaker Roman Polanski, tonight’s starter for Cleveland, Roberto Hernandez, has spent parts of his life out of the country for legal reasons. Like Polanski, Hernandez has also worked in this country under a false name. In the case of the latter? Fausto Carmona. And the former? Nora Ephron, of course.

Readers’ Preferred Broadcast: Cleveland Radio.

Today’s Complete Schedule
Here’s the complete schedule for all of today’s games, with our very proprietary watchability (NERD) scores for each one. Pitching probables and game times aggregated from MLB.com and RotoWire. The average NERD Game Score for today is 4.7.

the name Fausto Carmona was too awesome to be real, sadly. I like that he has a 14 NERD score.

So if we were to find out that Stephen Strasbourg were really named Enrico Fermi then his NERD would be truly infinite?
