My dad used to make fun of baseball stats because they tracked everything. He would say “I’m surprised they don’t tell us how many times they fart in the batter’s box too”. Well dad, turns out you were a bit of a visionary because if that had been tracked…the Adam Lind mystery would be no more.

My two cents: look at the expression on Lind’s face after the event occurs. That’s the grin of a man who just farted and knows the ump and catcher heard.

On Adam Lind – I’ve seen this a thousand times at the climbing gym. It very much looks like he has a chalk/rosin bag in his back pocket.
