I think that sometimes the ability to measure and quantify so many things in baseball leads fans to forget that baseball is funny game. Unexpected players step up, stars slump, balls take funny bounces, normally reliable managerial decisions prove to be the exact wrong one this one time. That is really why baseball is such a great game. It is constantly surprising us. On one hand a World Series with the two teams that won the most regular season games would seem like a good thing, but on the other hand, I respectfully submit that there is great joy and justice in the unpredictable randomness of this post-season. I for one celebrate it.
