Fun fact! My high-school girlfriend’s dream in life was to go to Hampshire College. She was very keen on its no-grades policy, and also, she was a hippie.
It didn’t work out for her.
It didn’t work out for us, either.

It was the 20th-century Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges who said, “Nothing is built on stone; all is built on sand, but we must build as if the sand were stone,” which seems a perfect encapsulation of both your high-school relationship and the institution of Hampshire College.
Not to take anything away from Mr. Watson, who is an excellent and intelligent baseball writer, but every time I see his name, I have to remind myself that he is not movie star and frequent Vince Vaughn co-lead Owen Wilson.
I actually get mail for Owen Wilson sometimes. Not actual fan mail or Owen Wilson’s bills, mind you, but mail that has been addressed to said movie star that is actually for me. You are not the first.
I look forward to your work in the upcoming Zoolander sequel.
I was not expecting the new episode of this podcast to explain my alma mater to me, but cool, I guess.
Owen Watson seems like a nice guy. However, I’d be scared that if he were to be left alone with Dayn Perry, Dayn would turn Watson into a hamburger and eat him.
