A friend of mine had a dishwasher with a feature called the “Piranha” that chewed up whatever bits of food were left on dishes and flushed them out. He never had to “pre-scrub” his dishes and used to show off by putting dirty dishes with big chunks on them into his dishwasher when we ate at his place. However, it did make a loud grinding noise but my friend relished hearing it, knowing that his Piranha was doing its thing.
