Carson Cistulli has published a book of aphorisms called Spirited Ejaculations of a New Enthusiast.
Perhaps we should call what Kershaw did…a Kershaw. noun: perfection marred by factors outside your control.
Another eponym that makes sense in the context of Fangraphs is Cistulli Interesting, as in “That player isn’t really worth talking about, though he may be Cistulli interesting.” The entire San Diego Padres, for example, seem to be only Cistulli interesting.
