I was disappointed when I found out that this list was not entirely sortable.
Ted Williams posted a WAR around 58 in his first 6 seasons and unfortunately those were sandwiched around WWII, but that’s quite a mark for someone who would just be approaching FA by today’s rule.

Pujols’ WAR (Fangraphs) in his first 6 seasons= 46.4. Pretty darn impressive.
Trout’s default game is 1-3 or 1-4 with a walk, which almost seems disappointing when it happens. Its amazing to me that a game yielding a .400 or .500 OBP feels like a disappointment. What a player.
How many Triple Crowns does he have won?
He does not have won any. Which is done have pretty meaningless.
Just want to say, this podcast is now eminently listenable. I’ve been a fan since long before that was the case just because it was really right up my alley in terms of tone and content. And I am pleased for all those striving for things everywhere that this podcast now has a decent flow, appropriate doses of awkwardness, and chuckle-worthy moments, which some years ago were more likely to be cringe-worthy moments. I cringed out of love and kept listening, and now I chuckle proudly. Kudos to you CC and Dave.
Carson – at one moment you mentioned the Fringe Five column you do but I swear it sounded like you said French Five, instead. I think that would be a great Not-Graphs post. The French Five – ranking either actual French people, French baseball players, players who you think should be French, or something along those lines.
I’ve long felt that Chris Denorfia should be French. He looks like he should be the star of a quiet film about the human condition, more comfortable letting cigarettes burn into two-inch long ash stacks than patrolling the outfield.
