Carson Cistulli has published a book of aphorisms called Spirited Ejaculations of a New Enthusiast.
Since without fantasy baseball Fangraphs would likely have much less than half of the readers that it currently does ,why does Fangraphs have such an anti fantasy mind set with half of its chat hosts refusing to take fantasy related questions ?
Basically half of site is devoted to fantasy. As you state half of the chatters will discuss fantasy extensively. It seems that there is a theme here.
They don’t want to be purely a fantasy site, what’s the problem with that?
I agree though, I miss the fantasy friday show.
Yes! Eno’s chats are almost as good on Thursday, but there was just something special when they were on Friday.
Because half the hosts don’t follow fantasy stats like WHIP and don’t analyze baseball from a fantasy perspective. They don’t know or care whether one player is better than another in fantasy terms. Would you rather they just made up half-assed responses for questions they’re unable to competently answer?
