Carson Cistulli has published a book of aphorisms called Spirited Ejaculations of a New Enthusiast.
There is almost no baseball in this podcast. Fully 21 minutes into it does it break away from personal chit chat. Is the purpose a form of adoration?
Blah blah blah blah. Get enough kids talk elsewhere. Been fortunate to avoid that condition. Baseball. Yes baseball.
Do you even know what podcast this is, or more importantly who the host is? People make the same complaint every week and it’s like they’ve never listened to Carson before. Get over it.
Is this your first time listening to the podcast?
Also it’s January. There was literally one thing to talk about, which has been broken down a thousand ways already, and they got to it eventually.
woah there commenters. This is one of the best podcasts of recent times, I loved it.
I did too. I actually really like the personal “chit chat” and friendly banter that happens in the podcasts. It gives us a sense of who the writers we read every day are like as people. As a corollary to that, the Carson-Dayn podcasts are totally my favorite, I hope you guys can keep doing those forever.
I thought they hit the sweet spot. They acknowledged it, made a few jokes about it, then moved on to baseball. And don’t get me wrong, podcasters crowbarring their new kids into the conversation with “it’s so haaaard raising but I love it” makes me vomit in my mouth. Bleacher Nation is a good example of this bad behaviour. Those two guys will talk to each other about their kids for easily thirty minutes.
Having said that, I thought Dave and Carson hit the perfect note.
