Could you clarify –

(1) What’s the “weighted ball’ approach? Is it just literally what it sounds like – throwing a heavier ball to develop strength?

An extension question – does it usually increase the speed of non-fastball pitches too?

(2) Thoughts on Alvarez’s poor start recently with decreased velocity?
