FanGraphs Is Expanding Its Social Media Presence

Please welcome Michelle Jay to FanGraphs. You’ll generally find Michelle behind any type of camera lens or social media app. No matter which hat she is wearing at a particular time, we are excited to have her on board.

Dear readers, allow me to introduce you to the latest ways to find content from across FanGraphs’s family of blogs. You may already follow us on Twitter (@fangraphs) or Facebook (/fangraphs). Through those channels, we’ve been providing you a stream of nearly every single article published as they are published to the site. We’ll still continue to do that. But, now you’ll see some extra content, things you’ll get only by following us on social media.

We’ll host the occasional Facebook Live chat. You may get Eric Longenhagen chiming in from a prospect game, like when Zack Greinke made a recent rehab start.

Or, maybe you’ll see a few of us chatting together at an event we happen to be at, like this weekend when Dave Cameron and I discussed his experience at Saber Seminar. As Forrest Gump said, it’s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. Soon, we’ll debut videos by FanGraphs, which will start (and probably remain) only viewable on Facebook as well. For Twitter, we have a few ideas in the pipeline we hope to roll out soon. We’ll also tease our Facebook-only content there, so you won’t miss it.

In addition to augmenting our long-running Twitter and Facebook accounts, you can know follow us on a few other sites. Soon, our Instagram (@fangraphs) will be populated with various visuals. They’ll range from graphs from articles, crazy (but not too crazy) equations explainers, video teases, and, the occasional photo from games or events our writers are at. And maybe more, who knows? As Ferris Bueller said, life moves fast.

Finally, you can follow along on our public adventures at Snapchat (@fangraphs). Our snapstory will be ever-evolving and ever-changing, though on the less frequent side. If you get on quick, you’ll see the tail end of our time at Saber Seminar this past weekend. Look for repost of some of it as well, for those who missed out on the sabermetrics fun.

There has always been an RSS feed. I’ve had Fangraphs in my Feedly all season.

I’m pretty sure I just used fangraphs.com. If that doesn’t work, try fangraphs.com/feed

If you use Feedly, you can add Fangraphs pretty easily.
