Kyle Parker broke his hand on a HBP in the second game of the season in the CAL
April .500/.600/.500 1.100 OPS
May .236/.295/.403 .698OPS
June .298/.445/.500 .945OPS

in sixty seven second half games he hit .326/.431/.628 with 19HR so while it isn’t proof that certainly looks like someone recovering from an injury.

I was asked the question about Parker because I’ve seen him multiple times. CAL numbers for college draft picks are insignificant to me. In my time doing this, they have been about as valuable as toilet paper on the whole. I think it was in a chat last off-season where I mentioned I would not be surprised if Kyle Parker hit 40 HR in the CAL. I was expecting a monster year and my feelings about him were mixed.
Darnit, I always miss these and they are awesome. Mike, if you read this I wanted to ask you why you don’t think Paxton is in the same league as Hultzen and Walker? Jason Churchill of Prospect Insider stated that Paxton may end up the best of the three. I’m not trying to create a problem between prospect guys or anything but as a Mariners fan who isn’t a scout, I’m pretty confused. I know scouts have different opinons but this one stumps me as to the disparity between the two.

From what I’ve been told, he’s just OK. Paxton is not as talented as Hultzen or Walker
I’ve spoken to multiple contacts about Paxton who say he has the greatest change of the three to fizzle. Additionally, scouts think the command is simply so-so and may not improve much more.

along the lines of the skaggs for andrus question could the dbacks get jean segura for a package built around one of their lesser pitching prospects, say patrick corbin?
why would the Brewers deal their future SS who they just obtained in the Greinke deal?
I think the talk of the Snakes needing or even wanting an ace to anchor that staff is overblown. Their rotation is pretty deep as it is. I think settling the Upton situation, getting healthy, and the left side of their IF are their big issues to resolve and they should be fine next season.
I agree with Spike. The Brewers have absolutely no motivation to deal Segura. I’d say the chance of something like this happening is less than 0%.
