Generally lists take into account both ceiling and floor, certainly someone may be more likely to be successful sooner than others, but the ranking will usually reflect the person most likely to be successful as well
Hultzen has the highest floor out of any of the Mariners’ main pitching prospect, so I’d have to say he has the best probability of having success. Walker definitely has the best chance of being an ace-caliber pitcher.
Who is the SP that has the best chance to be successful at the Major League level of the Mariners four prospects (not who is the highest rated):
Taijuan Walker
Danny Hultzen
James Paxton
Brandon Maurer

First to Seattle – Hultzen
Longest career – Walker
Most likely to be confused for Joe Mauer’s cousin – Maurer.
