How about K-BB%+?

Just divide it by about 12%. It won’t account for park factors, but they’re so close to 1.00 for K% and BB% anyways, so who cares? It’s kind of a pointless exercise anyways, because what does it matter if David Price has a K-BB%+ of 2? That doesn’t mean his ERA should be half of the league average or anything.

What do park factors have to do with Ks and BBs? Don’t park factors only affect Balls in Play?

K and BB rates are included in the Park Factors information, and there are differences, park to park. Whether the differences are due to personnel, foul ground, the batter’s eye, players adjusting to expected run environment, some combination of factors, or merely meaningless variance has not, as far as I’ve read, been decisively established.

One of the factors is that breaking balls can be more or less drastic due to the humidity, I believe.
