• It brings up that other age-old question, “Freddy Garcia sill pitches in the majors?!?”
• And which continues: “No, seriously: the one who used to pitch for the Mariners?”

• Or has been: all of a sudden this season, he has a double-digit swinging-strike percentage.

• Diamondback starter Daniel Hudson (9) has done well by NERD so far, owing to how he’s been effed by bad luck.

Carson: As you slip into that warm gravy-abyss of early onset senility, these One Night Only segments get increasingly magnificent — so much so that I have plugged my computer into a surge protector for fear the Awesome might obliterate my hard drive.
