2011 ZiPS Projections
This year’s latest ZiPS projections, courtesy of Dan Szymborski of Baseball Think Factory are now live in the player pages (you’re welcome, Carson) and the sortable projection sections.
If you’d prefer them in excel format you can download the full spreadsheet here.
We’ll be updating these every day of the 2011 season, as usual!
David Appelman is the creator of FanGraphs.
Charlie Blackmon is a human glory!
Bitchin’…
Finally!
Too bad my daft was last weekend. Too little too late, ZIPs.
Ecto, I’m sorry you missed the spreadsheet that’s been on BTF for a while – I didn’t want to have to hit Dave Appelman with multiple builds.
Would really appreciate having JEH’s 2011 projections as well.
What time approximately will the daily updates be made on the ZiPS projections? Thanks!
They usually get updated around 5am with the rest of the nights data load.
These seem awfully low across the board. wow
I think the projection for Adam Wainwright is a little off.
What’s a zip, just read about dips?
i dip, you dip, we zip.
finally
This is awesome, thanks so much. I’m curious, in earlier iterations I say saves projected, but not here. Why is that?
Also curious about holds and quality starts. Or really, I’m curious why it is you don’t project them.
Thanks again, these are always very helpful!
I’m not a fan of computer projections for saves. They’re just so reliant on determining what roles pitchers will have and that’s a job better suited to humans. For the Diamond Mind disk, I have rudimentary save projections for purely aesthetic reasons.
Will John Eric Hanson’s projections also be posted?
