But yeah, let’s say your managing the Tigers and Verlander hasn’t improved (or gotten worse), and it’s time to start him or Porcello in a playoff game. Who do you choose? I probably still choose Verlander, but with a super short leash. Porcello seems like the better pitcher right now, is the thing. If I’m the Tigers I might come up with a reason to DL him to see if some rest lets him get back on track.
