We begin by discussing what’s not happening in regards to the labor situation, then get into the biggest remaining free agent switching agents, the future of Seiya Suzuka and the past of Jon Lester, plus an extended sidetrack conversation on unique box score lines. Craig Calcaterra mentioned in his newsletter that Correa’s previous agent has a relationship with Endeavor Group Holdings, which has, through its subsidiary, purchased a number of minor league baseball teams. This could potentially lead to agents that are affiliated with Endeavor losing their agent certification because it’s basically a gigantic conflict of interest to represent a player and also own a professional baseball team.
