Bauer’s lack of walks in the minors can be attributed to AAA batters being more likely to swing out of the zone, correct? I fully expect to see him walk four straight again tonight and then write a rap song about the Ump cramping his style and his strikezone.

Cleveland Facts
– Betty White is reputedly hot therein.
– Shaker Heights is noted nationwide as an example of a community where history and gentrification have produced dramatically different socioeconomic strata.
– Under Gyorgy (George) Szell, Cleveland long had one of the world’s finest symphony orchestras.
– It was while owning the Cleveland Indians that Bill Veeck attended a dinner party and met Salvador Dali.
– Cleveland Street is the thoroughfare in A Christmas Story, though the film is set in Hammond, Indiana (or rather the fictional Hohman) and external shots were filmed in Toronto.
– When I was a young lad I went to the Cleveland Sea World.
– According to a cursory Google Maps browse, there is a highly reputable “modern American” restaurant in Cleveland called Dante, which earns a Zagat 28/30 and has a dinner menu featuring the likes of “honey balsamic glazed pork belly, crispy fried red onions, and polenta” ($9) and “whole roasted quail, stuffed with chestnuts, sausage, parsnips, and dried cherries” ($29).
– Carol Cleveland can be seen in a state of glorious undress in several episodes of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

As far as I know, Dante has been converted back into Lockkeepers, which is also a fine, though in no way remarkable, establishment.

Not that the broader fangraphs universe will care, but the Dante the well-bearded one refers to has been in Tremont for a few years now, since the chef departed from the old Lockkeepers.
