Getting the extra inning runner on second base rule to be officially called the zombie runner is a hill I am will to be bitten and infected with the zombie virus on.

Beau Brieske or Wentz for Tigers breakout pick. One of them may sneak into the rotation at some point this year. Brieske has looked nasty in spring training. His velo is up from last year.

The reason the zombie runner rule is a safety feature is because they had to stick in random games replacing teams days off. If you get into an 18 inning game during one of these stretches with 20+ days of no days off it is a disaster for your roster.

Also I would say other than NBA this rule is the least impactful of any american sport. In football you jsut lose if the other team scores a touchdown and half your team never gets to play. In soccer and hockey they take away half of the arena and have you play without most of your players. MLB just pretends the inning started with a double and then just play the exact same game they always play, very low impact compared to most sports. I do wish they would wait an inning or two to go to it.
