Eno Sarris: Here in 15 minutes!

12:00
Eno Sarris: lyrics dedicated to my moms

Wherever you go
Wherever you land
I’ll say what this means to me
I’ll do what I can

CHORUS

The fundamental problem
We all need to face
This is important
But I know you’re not listening
Oh I know you’re not listening

(chanting) Eno, Eno, Eno, Eno, Eno!

12:00
Eno Sarris: whoohooo that’ll get me pumped

12:00
Comment From JEB
Was it just me or did Brian Kenney keep calling you “Enus” the other day?

12:00
Eno Sarris: yeah and yet he introduced me as John Hart as one of the greatest young minds in baseball today which is kinda hilarious.

12:01
Comment From Conrad
Impact of Kershaw’s contract on future Trout negotiations?

12:01
Eno Sarris: From what I understand, comps have a huge thing to do with this, and though they are both great, I don’t think they are great comps for each other.

CLAYTON KERSHAW

12:01
Eno Sarris: We should get him a gift, no?

12:02
Comment From Swing and a Miss Puiggy
Kelly Johnson w/ the Yanks: 2B/3B/OF eligibility and 20+ HR….buying? and in what formats?

12:02
Eno Sarris: Eh. Too many other players there. He’s one of the better ones, but it might not work out for a full-time role. I’d take him a deep OBP league though.

12:02
Comment From Phillip-Eno
Any way the Tanaka deadline (Jan 24) is holding up FA hitter signings? seems awful quiet…..

12:03
Eno Sarris: For sure this is what is happening. I wonder if it’s even keeping AJ Burnett from deciding on retiring in a weird way. Which is killing me in one dynasty league.

12:03
Comment From Babs
What do you think 2014 season has in store for Yan Gomes? The thought is that his ~.340 BABIP is due for some regression but some are quick to point out that he has always been a high BABIP guy in the minors and the adjustments he made after leaving the Jay had a positive impact on those, as well. With Santana’s inability to be a ‘catcher’ in almost any sense of the word the Indians are probably looking at Gomes to be the starter now, right?

12:03
Eno Sarris: If he can keep the K% where it was, then he’ll have a great year… he’s really looking like the starter, always had power. BABIPs in minors are usually high, unless you’re Manny Machado, so I dunno about those. I’d regress the K%, the BABIP, and therefore the BA, but I think he can be a top-12er.

12:04
Comment From Swing and a Miss Puiggy
Better MI play for 2014: Aaron Hill or Jurickson Profar?

12:04
Eno Sarris: Gotta be Hill. Profar’s speed really underwhelmed last year and Hill has more power for now.

12:04
Comment From Clayton
I’m currently using Chad Young’s format to come up with auction values based off of Steamer’s projections in a Ottoneu points league. Based off my calculations, Steamer has Matt Holliday as a top 10 outfielder for that format. You buying?

12:05
Eno Sarris: No, well, mostly based on age. I think he’ll start to get hurt more, speed is gone… but if he’s a good points outfielder? sure.

12:05
Comment From Fantasy 2014
Hi Eno…will you guys be doing overal and positional rankings for the 2014 fantasy season? Also was wondering if you’ll do something like a ’10 players to avoid’ and ’10 “sleepers”‘. I’m relatively new to the site so if it already exists…sorry that I’m late to the game but thought it’d be cool to have a saber-influenced fantasy “guide”. Thanks!

12:06
Eno Sarris: Yeah we’ll do rankings. We also do ten bold predictions where we try to really push ourselves and think weird. I’ll do a post of my guys, I’ll add one about my guys to avoid. Next week, we start going through each team in INF/OUT/SP/RP posts, division by division. We’ll have auction values and the whole nine yards. Scroll down to ‘draft tools’ on RG and you’ll see what we had last year.

12:06
Comment From Frank Wren
How do I get rid of Uggla? Who makes sense as a trade partner for me?

12:07
Eno Sarris: I was pimping the Yankees, but guess not. I think you’re stuck.

12:07
Comment From Kev
What are your thoughts on Jonathan Villar for the upcoming season only? Compared to Rollins or A. Ramirez?

12:07
Eno Sarris: I’m a little worried that he’ll fail to hit .240. He could steal 40, but that K%, without power… yeah I’d rather have the other two, but they are in the same tier.

Our league has a lot of sidebets on this one. Gattis or D’aunard for 2014 ?

12:09
Eno Sarris: I’ll take Gattis unless you’re in an OBP league. I think TDA will be an excellent real-life catcher — he’s a great framer, good defensively, will take some walks, have a bit of power — but I think he’s also probably in the scrum with the .260/15-20 guys with the bat. Gattis is old, has no projection, isn’t great at plate discipline, but he has a lot more power, and I think he can manage a .250 batting average.

12:09
Comment From Swing and a Miss Puiggy
over/under .250 BA and 25 HR for Corey Hart in 2014?

12:10
Eno Sarris: Under. Crowded team, coming off injury, tougher park. Doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s an interesting pick.

12:10
Comment From The BambEno
Help the Mariners with their Outfield Issues! Infield looks set and Zunino has to be the C. Can they spin Franklin and a pitching prospect for a legitimate MLB OF who won’t kill them on defense?

12:10
Eno Sarris: Uh, looks like the plan is to have a first baseman in the corner out there. No other way to look at that Hart/Smoak/Morrison grouping, I think.

12:11
Comment From Moe
Hello Eno We have been in a 14 team 5*5 roto league for the past 9 years. This year we are loosing 2 owners. So now being 12 teams we are going head to head points total. We are looking at differnet scoring system. Is their one scoring system you could suggest or where could we go see different scoring system.Thank you

12:11
Eno Sarris: I’ve actually never heard of something like this. Might be an interesting post. I’ll try to write that for you soon.

12:11
Comment From Nate
I’ve always been dissuaded from buying beers in DFH’s Ancient Ales series because of opportunity costs. Are there any that are definitely worth the money over comparably priced and reliably excellent beers?

12:12
Eno Sarris: For the most part, I don’t like them! Can’t remember one I liked. I know, I know, people like them. But I don’t!

12:12
Comment From Swing and a Miss Puiggy
worse fantasy stat: Wins or Saves?

12:13
Eno Sarris: If by worse, you mean which one causes us more anguish as we pick up and drop stupid players and play waiver wire hawk and try to prognosticate silly manager moves… obviously saves. But you know what? That stuff is kinda fun too.

12:13
Comment From Bob
Guererro, Kendrick, or Dozier to fill a 2B hole in a deep dynasty?

12:14
Eno Sarris: Down on Guerrero. Might be a .250/18/0 kinda guy. Rather have Dozier actually. If he irons out the IFFB problem, he’s great! If not, he’s okay. Kendrick costs more and is over-rated. He’s the safest if the costs are actually equal.

12:14
Comment From david
Quick Question: Jose Abreu – Should the Nats have signed him..all the projections from Steamers to Baseball Forecaster predict good things. Seems like the Sox got a great deal at 6 year 68 mil.

12:14
Eno Sarris: Just published a piece on this RIGHT NOW. I think the Nationals were more interested in smaller pieces with less variability.

12:15
Comment From John
Which 2013 international signing are you most pumped to see from a fantasy standpoint in 2014? (besides Tanaka, Abreu)

12:15
Eno Sarris: so… Guerrero or Urrutia? Who am I missing?

12:16
Comment From 5-cent head
how many innings do you think Jose Fernandez throws this year? You were high on him last year, like a good wheat beer. Who do you think highly of this spring?

12:17
Eno Sarris: I think JF can throw 185-190, so might just get skipped a few times, or shut down at end of season. Almost no limit. Young arm that might have a role and run with it? There’s Paxton. I’ll be jumping into my rankings and players a bit more when I’m done editing FG+.

12:17
Comment From John
Is Danny Hultzen worth holding onto for a dynasty… or is he a bust from injury.

12:17
Eno Sarris: probably worth keeping still.

12:17
Comment From Carl
What might Junior Lake’s role be with the Cubs this year? any reason to think they are high on him?

12:18
Eno Sarris: I think he’s going to get a ton of playing time. I might be super inefficient in real life, but the Cubs don’t have a ton of options *right away.* Obviously, Soler, Almora on the way, but they’ll want to either pump up Lake value for trade for SP, or see if he can help at all. Bryant might end up in OF too because he was pretty bad at third when I saw him. So I’d give Lake at least the first half of the season, and he could hit .260 with double-digit homers and steals, and if he does that, I think he’ll hang on to a job somewhere for a bit.

12:18
Eno Sarris: Very interesting player tho

12:19
Comment From Pirates Hurdles
How valuable is Harper at $13 in his final contract year? Would you deal him for Yelich $5 (two years more at $9, $14) and Abreu $11 (two more years at $15, $20)?

12:21
Eno Sarris: Yelich strikes out a bit much… Abreu could hit .270… if you’re going to win this year, or are in it, I’d keep him. Otherwise… Yelich at a smaller price is interesting.

12:21
Comment From B

Have you seen the Trout jumping video? If you were the Angels, would you already be on the phone? Impressive, but scary if he falls.

12:22
Comment From CardPlayer
Will Kolten Wong be afforded a little latitude from the Cardinals in case he slumps a little at 2B? He’s probably the 8th most important hitter in the lineup, right?

12:22
Eno Sarris: Yeah maybe like a half-season. When it gets to August, and it’s tight…

12:22
Comment From Bobo
Hi Eno. Thoughts on Seth Maness going forward? Will he start again or be relegated to the bullpen?

12:22
Eno Sarris: Too many starters there. He’s in the pen, or traded to start.

12:23
Comment From Mr. Wrestling IV
Just traded for Allen Craig in 4×4 ottoneu. What are your thoughts on him this year?

12:23
Eno Sarris: Better in 4×4 where his extreme lack of speed doesn’t matter much. He’s older than most people think and I doubt he hits more than 25 again. But good batting average, 20ish homers… good player.

12:23
Comment From LarryA
Can you please explain to me negative values? Some website projects Machado and Headley as the 20 and 21st ranked 3B and worth -2$ in a standard 12 team league. Does that mean no one should be starting them?

12:23
Eno Sarris: Check the settings. You might be in a deeper league.

12:24
Comment From Bruce
Would you give Will Venable a 50% chance of going 20-20 again?

12:25
Eno Sarris: Yea little bit better. 55? He started pulling the ball more to take advantage of the new fences.

Comment From Michael
Going to LA this spring, and going to hit up San Francisco while I’m there. Any brewery or beer recommendations? Is San Diego worth a trip too?

12:27
Eno Sarris: If you can get to SD, it’s awesome, much better than LA. Gotta go for Ballast Point, Stone and AleSmith (Alpine is a bit of a trek). Closer to LA, been loving El Segundo’s beers, but that’s a bit south too. LA has fathers’ office for beer, just a bar. SF — 21A is okay, but if the Almanac room is open, go. Russian River two hours north…

12:27
Comment From Kody
How would you adjust keeper/dynasty rankings/strategies for contract leagues? I’m in a roto league with 12 teams, auction for contracts that go 1 to 5 years, and also milb farm with unlimited keepers and a 5 round draft.

12:28
Eno Sarris: Gotta do inflation, meaning the players remaining in your pool are worth a bit more because the players that are owned are likely owned under value and that means more money is on the table. Chad Young is doing ottoneu auction values for FG+ again, and he has a heck of a time with inflation values.

12:28
Comment From JAL
Tanaka ends up…

12:29
Eno Sarris: Dodgers get $40m off of the roster after next year, it could work for them. Yankees… I’m *pretty sure* they don’t care about $189m, but they are right there… under-reported aspect of Yankees and that number: rev sharing dies in 2016… they could just fight it in the CBA. So I’ll guess Yankees.

12:29
Comment From Michael
Were you on Clubhouse Confidential?

Comment From Bier
Have you selected your Opening Day lineup of beer yet? Will you release this lineup prior to the first day of the season? and if you had to exchange Beer Lineups at home plate, who would you like to be the Home Plate Umpire that day?

12:31
Eno Sarris: Greg Koch from Stone is at the plate. Enjoy By is in the lineup, somewhere. Rest of the lineup awaits my pencil. This will be a BG piece.

12:31
Comment From Paul
Several bigger market teams need a second baseman. Do you think any are calling Doug Melvin about Rickie Weeks? Decent ceiling, but injury problems – decent fit for yankees? elsewhere? How much of $11M would/could Milwaukee pick up?

12:31
Eno Sarris: Weeks more attractive than Uggla, if just for age. And smaller price tag. Might not have to pick up much. He couldn’t be a two-win guy??

12:31
Comment From Grack Zeinke
Yesterday, DC said he would pursue a deal for Didi Gregorius if he were the Mets. You haven’t once embraced that idea whenever it’s come up. Any new thoughts there regarding SS for the Mets? Again, I just see no way the Snakes are going to carry 3 shortstops on their OD roster. They can move Owings to AAA but that won’t be any more than a temporary move. Sandy, your move.

12:33
Eno Sarris: Hold on… I said it’s fine. I just want to know the price. Is it Syndergaard-plus? It took Bauer to get Didi, and he’ll remember that. I absolutely want the Mets to talk to the D-backs, and get the cheapest guy back.

I’ve missed several of your chats lately and you probably answered this before, What are your thoughts on Tanaka? I like the guy, but with the posting changes he’s slated to get alot more money per year than previous Japanese players. If he falls farther towards the Dice-K end of the spectrum than the Darvish end he could be a real albatross.

12:34
Eno Sarris: I like him, not as much as Yu, but more than Dice-K. I think he could be a younger Kuroda. Only problem is — how flat is the fastball. If it’s a fat one, he’ll need to be in the NL, and even then… Good news is, he’s no Tim Lincecum. Excellent fastball control, a devastating splitter… it works. I doubt he’ll be an albatross, even if he’s not an ace.

Lyrics: Maybe we always saw right through each other anyway
but Eno we never really knew each other anyway.

12:35
Eno Sarris: Geez, this is a terrible comment on my relationship with my mother lol. I was thinking a bit more about the title.

12:36
Eno Sarris: Also, I was super pumped at first, and it’s good to know most of y’all care a bit about beer, but the not at alls are gaining a bit.

12:36
Comment From Justin
Where do you think George Springer starts the year? Will he split it between AAA and the Majors, or does he get a roster spot out of spring training?

12:37
Eno Sarris: In minors. I’m really worried about his K%, his team has to be a bit worried, and they have a full OF, at least to check out for a month-plus.

12:37
Comment From Bob
Adam Eaton? Buying? how many SBs do you see, and can he keep his BA north of .285

12:37
Eno Sarris: I’d project him for .270/10/20 to be safe, which is ugly, but I do think he has more upside. Seems like Rick Hahn loves him.

12:38
Comment From Marty
I thought the new Archer was pretty bad. Thoughts?

12:38
Eno Sarris: Well, the Deus Ex Machina at the end of the episode was jarring, holy hell, but it was episode one of a new series, basically. Just trying to tell us where we are going. Still some fun moments — BEAKER’s BOSS!

Any thoughts on Marcell Ozuna going forward?

12:40
Eno Sarris: I like him. He strikes out a bit much, but so does Yelich. Doesn’t have the same pedigree, so he’ll be cheap. Has power and speed, and yeah home park will soften his impact… Great bench pick in mixed leagues IMO.

12:40
Comment From Chris
Does Zunino get the majority of the ABs in Seattle? 20+ HRs if so? What is a ceiling for him?

12:41
Eno Sarris: Not sure he can hit the curveball yet. Bad batting average this year, probably. Ceiling is great, but percentage likelihood he attains it dropping.

Comment From Tom
Does Appel debut this year? When do you think they call him up? How good can he be?

12:43
Eno Sarris: He’s really close. He spent the extra year getting that changeup ready and just tore up the lower minors like he should have. I think he’s in Double-A to start the year, and the only reason he doesn’t come up is to keep him cheap longer. He’s got great fastballs, great control, a strong slurve, and a decent changeup. That changeup matters a lot because he can’t get by on the slurve alone against lefties.

Comment From Lonnie
Is Rendon going to be the everyday 2B for the Nats? What kind of line do you see with everyday Abs?

12:45

12:45
Comment From KJ
Let’s play a game like Date, Marry, **** except it will be Trade, Keep, Drop: Segura, Brad Miller, Ackley

12:45
Eno Sarris: You got it in the right order. Unless someone’s willing to give you something really nice for Miller, Segura’s got the most value, Miller is sneaky good, and Ackley yuck yuck.

estimates for Chris Young’s season? Do you think he has a 20-20 season in him? if so, do you thing the Mets make a QO? do you think there is a *handshake deal* that he’ll turn down a QO?

12:47
Eno Sarris: No. I think he’ll mostly platoon with other Young. Maybe play 50% of the time.

Long time listener, first time caller.Who do you think gets more starts this year, Yordano Ventura or Carlos Martinez? Thanks.

12:48
Eno Sarris: And I thought you’d get weirder than that with your first salvo. More starts? Ventura. C-Mart has wicked splits and doesn’t have the third pitch, or hasn’t shown it. He may not. Both of these guys are super intriguing. Might be over-rated by velocity. Ventura’s secondary pitches … suck. Right now at least.

12:49
Comment From Eric Hosmer
How much do I build off of my 2013 numbers?

12:50
Eno Sarris: As much as you improve your GB/FB, which you wouldn’t talk to me about, you dick. Seriously. You can’t hit more than 20-25 homers annually without a bit more loft. Maybe you don’t care. But your fantasy owners will care when you stop stealing bases.

12:50
Eno Sarris: wow. I’m at 12:08. gotta push it a bit here.

12:50
Comment From LarryA
Lots of talk recently about hitter/pitcher mixes. Does it seem to make sense to go Stars and Scrubs with pitchers and then middle priced valued hitters?

12:51
Eno Sarris: Gotta get some star hitters too, but maybe that’s the way to go. I just remember Chad Young finding that $10 guys were the best sleepers in ottoneu, I think. I might try to go with two $20-25 pitchers and then a bunch of $5-10s. True dollar guys kinda suck.

see any bounce back in willingham this year? last year he was average for him, then had some sort of knee issue and never seemed to get back into form.

what’s the platoon situation in AZ outfield this year? ross/parra with pollack and trumbo starting everyday. or pollock/parra and ross trumbo everyday?

12:53

Abreu is crazy to try and project, and it looks like the DTs overestimate OBP, but his number basically blow everyone else out of the water. The SLG and OBP are massively better than anyone else….I so want him to come over and be an immediate superstar.

12:56
Eno Sarris: Yeah if you sort the table on my piece, Abreu comes in with the highest everything … BA, OBP, SLG… so yeah, the best hitter to every come out of Cuba.

12:56
Comment From Swing and a Miss Puiggy
I think I love to hate W/SV and to a lesser extent BA. These are the toughest categories to predict so perhaps there is the most “arbitrage” as you like to put it in them when you’re in a very competitive league?

12:56
Eno Sarris: Yeah they are impossible! Which is great!

12:56

I think Vitters is going to play LF this year. He killed it in AAA at age 22-23. What do you think about that?

Eno Sarris: Just did an industry mock and he went 10.130. It’s early. He should go way earlier than that.

How does Billy Beane do it every year? Wouldn’t you think that after this many years players other GMs would get wise to him and demand more $ or not deal with him? Just saying if your sitting at the table and you don’t know who the patsy is–its you.

12:58
Eno Sarris: He’s selling young, cheap pitching… that’s DRUGS to GMs.

12:58
Comment From James
Soooooo Price just got a one year extension to avoid arbitration??

12:59
Eno Sarris: yeah he’s going to leave eventually. Thought it would be this year.

Why do projections seem down on Nats across the board? Team projections have them far behind the Braves. Not even a close race this year?

12:59
Eno Sarris: No, I picked the Braves last year and I’ll take the Nats this year. I think Harper will surpass projections and that they improved their depth, which was a huge problem last year.

Mike Olt (STEVE HOLT) said yesterday his eye issues have been sorted out. If he wins the 3B job in Chicago and gets 500 ABs, what should we expect from him?

1:00
Eno Sarris: Low batting average, great power, maybe good enough D to push Bryant to OF.

Comment From Giacomini
I’m up in my slow draft, timely chat, help me decide who to take! Roster is currently Price, Greinke, Posey, HanRam, JUp, Harper, (in positional number order for convenience). Looking at one of these five: Kinsler, Pujols, Moore, Verlander, Pedro Alvarez. What does Eno think?

1:01
Eno Sarris: I liked Verlander before the injury, you have plenty pitchers though for this point in draft, Kinsler old, so I’m all over Pujols this low.

1:01
Comment From Gson
Lonnie Chisenhall was pretty terrible w/ his chances at the ML level in 2013(.225/.270/.398; 11 HR/35 RBI’s). Over under on Lonnie’s Line: .254/.310/.432 16 HR / 62 RBI’s?

1:02
Eno Sarris: Slightly under, but close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades.

1:02
Comment From Eric
I have Anibal for $10 in ottoneu. I don’t think his value will ever be higher than it is right now, but I also think I can probably get #2 type production out of him on the cheap for the next 3 years or so. Should I try to trade him, or just keep him? If trade, what sort of return should I aim for?

1:02
Eno Sarris: I’d trade him. I think the shoulder injury last year was ominous, he’s throwing more junk every year, and he’s a SLAP survivor. Go get a ransom.

1:02
Comment From dude
Wins seem more frustrating to me than saves. A least if your closer gets the job done, he gets the save. On the other hand, you can lose a complete game. Say whaaaaaaaaaaat!?!

1:02
Comment From John Stamos
Already having the first pick in my dynasty draft and taking Abreu, would you trade Chris Archer for the 2nd pick to take Tanaka? Archer and Tanaka are the same age.

1:03
Eno Sarris: I’m worried about Archer going this long and just having that changeup. I take Tanaka.

1:03
Comment From Jon
I’ve asked some of your colleagues this, but I’ll ask you as well. Do you think the bench is currently undervalued by teams, and how important is it to wins?

1:04
Eno Sarris: I tried to write a post about studying depth, and it’s impossible. But it does seem that the top part of your roster is slightly more important. Once you get to that part of the win curve where every win matters, then you need a bench. In other words, if the A’s didn’t have great pitching, their bench wouldn’t matter. And the Nationals…well they needed a better bench last year.

Is Rizzo worth keeping this year in 5×5 with the hopes he improves against lefties?

Am I the only one worried about the left half of the Red Sox infield if Drew doesn’t settle for a return? Bogaerts is hugely talented and has a bright future, but he’s still a 21-year-old rookie. And Middlebrooks has a career .294 OBP and ugly plate discipline. They don’t even have a solid backup (Herrera)

1:08

Will Jordy Mercer start the entire year for the Pirates. Is he at all interesting fantasy-wise as a 1$ flier?

Are there any general rules you tend to follow when drafting in a roto league? ex. try to get 80 hrs/80 steals in your first 5 picks, no pitchers early, etc.

1:13
Eno Sarris: I generally try to get a bottom-tier top-12 SP and a top-tier #2, so that usually happens in rounds three through seven. I only do this because I want to get two chances at CY-type performance, and I think there are about 20ish pitchers that can do that any given year. Otherwise, mostly just value. I don’t even focus as heavily on the MI as I used to.

1:13
Comment From Jason
Who would you rather have in an NL-only: Medlen for $18 or Corbin for $10?

1:14

What about a trade of three years of either Logan Morrison or Justin Smoak for three years (and three option years) of Jose Tabata? Pittsburgh could use help at first base and Travis Snider can cover rightfield until Gregory Polanco is ready. Seattle reportedly is in the market for a righthand-hitting defensively competent outfielder.

1:16
Eno Sarris: Doubt it’s Morrison, or the Pirates would have traded with the Marlins. Kinda doubt people want Smoak after one good year.

re: Didi, obviously the Mets aren’t dealing Noah. The price being a top ten pitching prospect bc it took Bauer to acquire Didi doesn’t make that the price now. Prices are a function of market forces. DBacks can either hold out for a steep price and wind up not making a deal and having a SS glut on their roster or take a deal that they can make. Towers does’t appear to be the type to hold out just on principal.

1:18
Eno Sarris: So, fine. I like it. It’s all about cost. And yes, Towers actually seems the opposite: ready to jettison players he’s soured on. So it’s a chance for arbitrage.

Seems like Danny Salazar has been thrown aboard the hype train. Not that he isn’t good, but he’s being ranked awfully high for a guy who threw 50-some MLB innings. What are baseline expectations for him? I ask because I’ve got him at $13 in a 10-team AL-only and have been offer $6 Peavy or $5 Martin Perez for him.

1:23

Hey Eno, love the chats. I am in a 16 team, deep rostered dynasty points team and have been stumped with a trade offer: my Teheran and Billy Hamilton (in a league that provides a lot of emphasis on steals) for his McCann and Lester, with a pick thrown in from his side for good measure. Thoughts?

1:31

1:39

Pirates fan here. Mercer will be in an offense/defense platoon with Clint Barmes, similar to end of last year. No one is pushing for time from him, though, as Hanson won’t be ready til 2015, so the only wrench could be if the Pirates make a very unexpected signing for Drew or Mercer flops and they make a deal into the season.

I am in a 10 team AL only with a $280 auction cap. I am keeping Will Myers $5, Glen Perkins $4, Papi $11 and Josh Donaldson $5. I need to keep 3 of the following Oswaldo Arcia $5, Rajai Davis $7, JJ Hardy $14, Avisail Garcia $10, Sal Perez $10 or Will Middlebrooks $5. I can really use advice who would you go with. Thank
