Eno Sarris: Okay. Let’s try again!

12:14

12:14
Eno Sarris: I hope so.

12:14

12:14
Eno Sarris: Yes please.

12:14

12:14
Eno Sarris: Phew.

12:14
Comment From AJT
Do we get more lyrics?

12:14
Eno Sarris: okay here the are again

BUT THERE’S MILLIONS TO COUNT YOU AND KEEP YOU
AND LOVERS WHO DON’T UNDERSTAND
DON’T LET THEM TELL YOU YOU’RE NOTHING
‘CAUSE YOU’LL CHANGE THE WORLD…

12:15
Comment From Pertinent
Day salvaged.

12:15
Comment From PGB
Slowhand?

12:16
Comment From Jordan
I just kept thinking, how the hell am I going to make it through class

12:16
Eno Sarris: wow, starting with a class update lude. sweet.

12:16
Comment From KB
Better setup man in league that counts holds: Capps or Doolittle?

12:16
Eno Sarris: doolittle has no control issues.

12:16
Comment From Oberon
Wil Myers for Arenado?

12:16
Eno Sarris: In a 5×5 I could see it. Arenado plays more valuable position (assuming 3OF), will have better BA.

12:16
Comment From Matt
Wacha wacha wacha

12:17
Eno Sarris: bounch chigga bounch baaaawwwww

12:17
Comment From Thomas
That was a very meta lude…

12:17
Eno Sarris: But we’re back.

12:17
Comment From Adam K
2Qs: Beer of the moment? And probably going to drop one of the three in an OBP 5×5, 12 team league: Rutledge (2b or SS), Lowrie, and Kendrick

12:18
Eno Sarris: Sick as a dog, but I have Deschutes’ Red Chair NWPA in the fridge taunting me. It’s great! Well, I would say Rut-Rut in an OBP league, but since he has two positions, and we know who Kendrick is at this point, drop Howie.

12:18
Comment From Johnny
Glad I could get in even after you are filled to capacity! Trade Markakis & Pedroria for Craig & Prado? I’d have E & A. Cabrera and Weeks in the MI. Chance of Prado getting 10 games at 2nd while Hill is gone? Either way, if you thinks the stats are about even, this trade buys me huge position flexibility.

12:19
Eno Sarris: It’s decent. You lose some speed, but you don’t lose too much overall and I like buying Craig low.

12:20
Comment From dude
Sorry if that was my fault for the long jason heyward question.

12:20
Eno Sarris: You broke it all.

12:20
Comment From Doug
Care to speculate on who will inevitably replace Dan Haren in the Nats rotation?

12:20
Eno Sarris: Would be awesome sauce if it was Christian Garcia, but he’s hurt. Not too excited about whoever else it will be, unless trade.

12:20
Comment From Dan
What’s a good return for an aging closer in a dynasty rebuild?

12:20
Eno Sarris: Second-tier pitching prospect. Maybe a Kyle Gibson type.

12:20
Comment From Rock Shoulders
Better ROS: Jarrod Parker or Trevor Cahill?

12:21
Eno Sarris: Cahill’s looking good and in the NL, so he’s way safer. But you’ll get more K/9 from Parker, I think. His fastball command can’t be this bad.

12:21
Comment From Matt
Know it’s too early to start worrying… but is it time to start worrying about Stanton?

12:21
Eno Sarris: When he goes on DL!

12:21
Comment From person hscer
The Game: Teheran $3 at Pittsburgh, or Verlander $11 at Seattle?

12:22
Eno Sarris: Pitchers in Pittsburgh are great values. Verlander will pitch against a great matchup again later.

12:22
Comment From Moses
Will my $54 Stanton in ottoneu 4×4 turn out to be anything other than a complete disaster? Think he’ll at least rebound enough to be tradeable?

12:22
Eno Sarris: Nothing you can do.

12:22
Comment From Jon
Thoughts on Jose Quintana?

12:22
Eno Sarris: Not many.

12:22
Comment From Dan
Who shoud I pick up and stash on my DL? Beachy, Marcum, Harrison or A Ramirez, Kubel or Eaton??

12:22
Eno Sarris: Wow. So many good choices. Ramirez. He’ll probably be fine.

12:22
Comment From Mike
Fiers and Peralta were both dropped in my league, which one would you rather have? Or would you pass on both?

12:23
Eno Sarris: peralta’s ceiling is way lower, so I’m not interested. I loved Fiers going in, but he hasn’t struck out like anyone? Or one guy? That’s bad. I’d wait for a good start from him.

12:23
Comment From Moses
Harvey vs Strasburg tomorrow by the way

12:23
Eno Sarris: drools

12:23
Comment From Ryan
You are a Mets fan, what is your long-term outlook for Rafael Montero? Could he get the call at some point this summer?

12:24
Eno Sarris: I was a little worried to hear from buddy Jeff Paternostro that he was mostly getting Ks from fastball command and that his breaking pitches weren’t the best.

12:24
Comment From Kris
I traded my David Price and Billy Butler for Kemp & Morrow. How worried should I be about Kemp’s shoulder?

12:25
Eno Sarris: I’m worried. Power’s gone right now, and he had surgery. You got the higher upside duo and there’s no sense in selling low.

12:25
Comment From Mike
Do you think Holland has a firm grasp on the closers job now or should I still hold onto Herrara?

12:25
Eno Sarris: Hold for another week if you can.

12:25
Comment From Hunter
Picked up 2 Russian River Consecration and 3 Supplication american wild ales in SF last week. They are INSANE. Have you ever had a better beer in your life?

12:25
Eno Sarris: I LOVE THOSE BEERS. I brought them to the FanGraphs retreat, and consensus was: great. You’d also like the Red Poppy ale from Lost Abbey.

12:26
Comment From National"Debt"Wiler
I am a stud in the making throwing 94% fastballs, how long can this last?

12:26
Eno Sarris: Not long.

12:26
Comment From Andrew
Patrick Corbin or Ricky Nolasco 2 in a 6×6 dynasty

12:26
Eno Sarris: Corbin has some nice things going for him.

12:26
Comment From KB
Surprised at the lack of XBH from Votto to this point? Also seems to be striking out a bit more than usual as well.

12:26
Eno Sarris: He told me his knee is fine. I hope he was telling the truth, because I wouldn’t be worried otherwise.

12:27
Comment From Mark
My Duda stream got screwed by bad weather. Bunch of shitball righties AND Coors Field… This should have been great, instead only good.

12:27
Eno Sarris: yeah, coors, righties, man. stupid snow and back.

12:27
Comment From Bruce
Do you still beleive Santos will end the year with more saves than Jansenn?

12:27
Eno Sarris: Yeah, only found velocity and K/9 to be predictive of change, and Santos has both on Janssen. Casey’s down below 90 right now…

12:27
Comment From Chris B.
Stayed in Mariposa last week on a trip to Yosemite. Prospectors brewpub there has an unreal IPA, excellent wheat and blonde.

12:27
Comment From Rags
Pretty Girls, Neko Case. NL-only, if you have a starter you get all their starts (no bench). Also transaction fees prevent streaming. Is it worth dropping Feldman for Garland, Marquis or Slowey?

12:28
Eno Sarris: Slowey at home is the best. Sucks that you have to start him all the time. Slowey for me.

12:28
Comment From Kris
Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron is my new favorite brew

12:28
Eno Sarris: too much for me!

12:28
Comment From Blofkin
Brandon Moss is showing better plate discipline and improved contact rates. Believe he’s becoming a more complete hitter?

12:28
Eno Sarris: They still platooning him!

12:28
Comment From Needs Power
Do you prefer Giancarlo Stanton or Adam Jones in a 12-team 5×5 league?

12:29
Eno Sarris: I had em close before any shoulder issues. I’ll take Adam.

12:29
Comment From Lane
Have you seen Rickie Weeks’ Plate Discipline numbers? Contact Rate is 12% below career average while appearing to swing at less pitches outside the zone. Unless he’s changed something I don’t know about, this has to regress right? He didn’t go blind in one eye or something.

12:29
Eno Sarris: He’s crazy, like every year.

12:29
Comment From Jon
clair de lude

12:29
Comment From BS
To think I almost got some work done in the next 90 minutes.

12:29
Comment From Pertinent
I print tshirts all day. Without this chat, I’m just standing here… Printing tshirts. You’ve no doubt saved lives.

12:29
Comment From person hscer
What is Jordan “supposed” to be learning during these chats anyway?

12:29
Comment From DC
How does it feel to get a tl/dr response to a post it appears you worked hard on?

12:30
Eno Sarris: DC: awesome! great lude guys.

12:30
Comment From sea salt
you listen to some bad music. hold onto revere or roll w/ pierre?

12:30
Eno Sarris: Neko Case is bad? Wow. Bout the best voice in my music collection right now. I’d rather have Revere. The age difference will mean something eventually.

12:30
Comment From AC
Is it time to give up on Jesus Montero even in 14 team league? Already picked up Jaso and Cervelli is sitting in the wire (Zunino gone)

12:31
Eno Sarris: 5×5? Wait a bit because Jaso is more of an OBP help.

12:31
Comment From Moses
Your guess on Arenado’s ETA?

12:31
Eno Sarris: Super two deadline (June 15ish)

12:31
Comment From Ronnie Woo Woo
Would you trade Hanley for Asdrubal and Latos?

12:31
Eno Sarris: Hanley is coming back soonish, but if you need help at SP, this is fine.

12:31
Comment From Jesse Orosco
My dynasty rotation is Moore, Price, Harvey, Scherzer, Dempster and Doubront. I also have Fried, Zimmer, Crick, Wacha, Karns, Wisler, Ross and Workman in the minors. I just wanted to let you know.

12:32
Eno Sarris: Nobody likes a braggart. They just like his rotation.

12:32
Comment From Aaron
5×5 + OPS, need 1B help — Alonso, LaRoche, Morneau, Morales, or move Frazier over there and take a flyer on somebody else, Carlos Gomez or something?

12:32
Eno Sarris: Pick em really. LaRoche maybe.

12:32
Comment From Barn Dog
With Headley coming off the DL I have the opportunity to trade one of Todd Frazier or Dexter Fowler, what kind of pitching can I expect to get in return? I’m BAD at analyzing trade values

12:33
Eno Sarris: Just start with the steamer auction values as a guide — find two comparable tiers… You may want to pick someone like Choo instead of Fowler. Pretend Fowler is now worth Choo and see what pitchers are worth Choo’s level. Then go for them.

12:33
Comment From Ben
So is this it for Andrew Cashner? Little used long relief guy? Seems like a waste of such a good arm.

12:33
Eno Sarris: They want him to start. Just gonna take a while.

12:34
Comment From Fish
I was at the M’s game last night. I kind of want to claw out my eyes and never watch baseball again.

12:34
Eno Sarris: Wow.

12:34
Comment From Wes
Manny Ramirez Jr: http://tinyurl.com/bqqfwp8

12:34
Eno Sarris: quick one

12:34
Comment From Guest
Arenado is to doubles what Hamilton is to steals

12:35
Eno Sarris: That’s a loaded statement.

12:35
Comment From dude
Jason Heyward. Is his current battled ball profile concerning to you? I was offered heyward for Cliff Lee. Standard roto except with OPS, K/BB, and net steals instead of steals. Thoughts? Thanks Eno!

12:35
Eno Sarris: I’m good with Heyward. More FBs might mean lower BA but should mean more power.

12:35
Comment From Bryce Harper
Drop Haren, or any upside left?

12:35
Eno Sarris: It’s getting to that point .

12:36
Comment From Meatballs
I lost Hanrahan and Fujikawa (only Perkins left). Do I trade Perkins and throw saves. Or should I move Utley (I have Cano, Rutledge, and Hanley). What would I be looking at for Utley?

12:36
Eno Sarris: Wait. both will be back. Soonish.

12:36
Comment From Terd Ferguson
My Gattis and Ike Davis for his Goldschmidt in a points league (steals basically count as an RBI or run)

12:36
Eno Sarris: Yes please.

12:36
Comment From Guest
masterson with another great performance peripherally, when can we start believing?

12:37
Eno Sarris: I don’t believe. He’s throwing *more* sliders against lefties, and those pitches have platoon splits, so I don’t believe. when he’s good, he just stops walking lefties. He could do soemthing approaching 2011, but I doubt it. Still a tow-pitch guy.

12:37
Comment From Hunter
What do expect from Sterling Marte and Jean Segura ROS?

12:38
Eno Sarris: Streaks based on BABIP, some steals, some power, more power for Marte.

12:38
Comment From JC in NYC
time to give up on wily peralta, i’m going for it in an nl only keeper

12:38
Eno Sarris: he’s a ground ball guy with tons of injuries that isn’t going well. it’s a low ceiling anyway.

12:38
Comment From DominicanRepublican
Three thiings I’m afraid of: 1)Starting Fernandez in CIN, 2)Benching Fernandez in CIN, 3)Flying Squirrels. Please rank the validity of those fears.

12:38
Eno Sarris: 3), 1), 2)

12:39
Comment From Guest
What’s your ceiling for Jackie Bradley? Can you make a comparison to a current player?

12:39
Eno Sarris: High OBP, lowish BA, some power… Brett Gardner?

12:39
Comment From Crusty
In the Mariners game last night, Detroit scored their only run of the 1st nine innings on a play where Brendan Ryan fielded it quickly and thought about throwing it home to catch the runner coming in from 3rd base, before changing his mind and throwing to 1st. Do you think Jesus Montero’s reputation for bad defense might have played a part in Ryan’s decision?

12:39
Eno Sarris: I’m sure he thought about it! We can’t know though.

12:39
Comment From Andrew
Which closer do I look to trade (aside from all of them)… Rodney, Janssen, Henderson, Romo, Boggs

12:40
Eno Sarris: All of them and then… Rodney I guess. Romo will give you the most return, but he’s also the most solid probably. Or Rodney. One of the two. the rest won’t get you anything. (Well, if Janssen gets you something, then him.)

12:40
Comment From DC
Dropped Rosenthal for tazawa in my holds league. Did I make the right call?

12:41
Eno Sarris: If you’re not saves prospecting, Tazawa is the bompb.

12:41
Comment From MIO
14 team roto league with no bench. Keep Mccarthy or pick up Parker or Andrew Bailey instead?? Thanks

12:41
Eno Sarris: man I want to tell you to pick up Parker. I still like Parker. You could pick up Bailey and watch the two starters while you get a few saves.

12:41
Comment From F U Jobu
Do the Rays trade Price knowing they have depth in the minors?

12:42
Eno Sarris: They’ll trade him at some point if they don’t contend this year.

12:42
Comment From Dave
Is Jason Kipnis broken?

12:42
Eno Sarris: Man his strikeout rate is so bad.

12:42
Eno Sarris: I don’t think so.

12:42
Comment From Chad
Two days later, how are you feeling about our Wilhelmsen for Moustakas deal? Am I giving up on Moose too early?

12:43
Eno Sarris: I’m excited to have a young 3B. Aramis was under-rated, but old, and I felt like the hammer was going to fall at any moment. I’ll find another closer somehow. I found Wilhelmsen for a buck before he was a closer!

12:43
Comment From Adam K
Thanks! Currently enjoying the hell out of a growler of Dogfish Palo Santo Marron

12:43
Eno Sarris: Someone in this chat said that’s their favorite. It’s too much for me.

12:43
Comment From ozzie
Middlebrooks is my starting 3B, should I start exploring other options?

12:43
Eno Sarris: In BA league, he’s going to be flawed.

12:43
Comment From Aaron
Would you trade Miggy for Harper straight up? Which side would have to add more?

12:44
Eno Sarris: Harper side still has to add.

12:44
Comment From Guest
Dan Straily is in the minors, why?

12:44
Eno Sarris: Colon hasn’t crapped out yet.

12:44
Eno Sarris: (I didn’t see the humor in that until I posted it)

12:44
Comment From Craving a beer
I traded Zobrist and Lawrie for Medlen, Beltre and Ogando. I needed pitching help. Did I win?

12:45
Eno Sarris: You did okay, but you might have a hole in your MI somewhere… and Ogando is a two-pitch pitcher too.

12:45
Comment From BS
All systems go on Crawford? Could he reach 18/35 or more?

12:45
Eno Sarris: I’d roll back the power, and expect a DL stint again at some point.

12:45
Comment From Time Sensitive Trade
Hi Eno…12-team 5×5 roto and my OFs are Cutch, Harper, A. Jones, Choo and Granderson (start 3 and one UTIL) I trade Harper, M. Harvey and M. Carpenter for Cano, Gallardo and either F. Guiterriez or possibly Mujica. Thumbs up or thumbs down?

12:45
Eno Sarris: thumb down down down down

12:46
Comment From Just a nice young man
It’s exam season but I am having a beer tonight

12:46
Eno Sarris: gotta relax somehow

12:46
Comment From person
So I’ve got too many 3Bs. Drafted Headly with Lawrie as a backup, took a late flier on Carpenter. It’s time to sell Carpenter now right? Before he slows down?

12:46
Comment From Jesse Orosco
Is this the Everth Cabrera we can expect from now on?

12:47
Eno Sarris: Oops first on Carp: I like him. Who’s your 2B? Maybe sell your 2b?

12:47
Eno Sarris: On ECAb… I don’t believe. He has a whole career of big strikeout numbers. Also, his defense is SUSPECT.

12:47
Comment From Andrew
Ahh Derek Holland – there you are. AMIRIGHT?!

12:48
Eno Sarris: Gotta look into that further. He always had a bad command of his FB within the zone, but if he fixed that, he has gas and legit secondary pitches.

12:48
Eno Sarris: (Also, I told him before the 2012 season that last year was his season. Also touted Duda. Sometimes, you just gotta swallow your tout for a year maybe)

12:48
Comment From Wobatus
Drop Maybin, Chisenhall or Flowers? I have the positions covered.

12:49
Eno Sarris: In BA league, Flowers, he won’t crack .230 probably.

12:49
Comment From AC
Does Zimmerman have the yips? If so, pick up Rendon?

12:49
Eno Sarris: This is a big problem. He can’t make the easy throw. He’s changed his mechanics and it’s just getting worse.

12:50
Eno Sarris: As for Rendon, where they going to put Zimm.

12:50
Comment From Chris B.
Some Puig discussion this week left me wondering … What’s the dif in a “major league contract” for a amateur signee? I mean, compared to all the other minor-leaguers running around without a “major league contract.”

12:51
Eno Sarris: Just gets paid nicely while in minors. Team still has years of control left at end if he hasn’t played five-plus years.

12:51
Comment From eyy
some guy traded me holliday for brandon league (i already got grilli, henderson, janssen, mujica). that’s as whats up as I think it is right?

12:51
Eno Sarris: that’s as what’s up as you think it is.

12:51
Comment From Pertinent
Can you recommend some reasonably accessible Saisons for a guy in the Midwest. I had the New Belgium one and could see this being a secondary beer to my IPA addiction.

12:51
Eno Sarris: Oh, easy one is the one from Boulevard. Tank 7 I think. Very good.

12:51
Comment From Atlanta GM
Traded Simmons for rut hastily, stupid?

12:51
Eno Sarris: Eh. Both iffy. Rut Rut actually has more upside.

12:52
Comment From F U Jobu
Jimenez??? WTF???? Drop him like a hot potato or does he get better?

12:52
Eno Sarris: I’m done.

12:52
Comment From GreenTeaStout
JMontero & Neil Walker appeared on wire.. drop Gardner & Simmons to pick up?

12:52
Eno Sarris: Simmons for Walker is fine. I’d keep Gardner and leave Montero.

12:52
Comment From Mark
How are the Barves winning when Heyward and Bossman have been so terrible?

12:52
Eno Sarris: It’s a good team. I picked them to win the division.

12:52
Eno Sarris: By the way guys, I’m a little behind on the questions, but I’m not stopping at one.

12:53
Comment From Wayne Kennard
Yelich! Yelich! Yelich! Could happen soon???

12:53
Eno Sarris: Is he healthy yet? I think they’ll wait.

12:53
Comment From Jordan
Short Stop (eligible) Suflle: Espinosa, Cozart, Everth Cabrera, or Segura?

12:54
Eno Sarris: Segura.

12:54
Comment From Johm
The Rays could sure use a bat – do you think they call up Myers before mid-June?

12:54
Eno Sarris: I think they probably should but won’t until June 15.

12:54
Comment From Guest
Hey Eno! Someone in my 10 man 5×5 league seems to have dropped Adam LaRoche in favour of Lucas Duda. I’m #2 on the waiver wire and my options are to (1) drop Chris Carter (who’s on my bench and may have the bonus of coming into OF eligibility) for LaRoche and use my waivers claim, (2) drop Carter and pick up Mujica instead from FA (have 4 decent relievers but am greedy), (3) do nothing… Usually I am inclined to do 3) but LaRoche was smoking last year, has hit 2 HR already and looks bad so far from a .214 BABIP… or Billingsley could be droppable too- any thoughts?

12:54
Eno Sarris: do nothing

12:55
Comment From F U Jobu
Does Erasmo Ramirez come back up when healthy?

12:55
Eno Sarris: Got to. Got to, right?

12:55
Comment From dude
When do we start believing in batted profile trends? Especially trends that are quite different than the usual for young players.

12:56
Eno Sarris: Want to give it a full month (and a little more) I think. Look at Pizza Cutter blog post on FanGraphs (check the author roll) and he has it by balls in play I think.

12:56
Comment From Too Many Joes
Which crappy outfielder should I cut bait with first: Rasmus or Viciedo? Does either have any chance of improvement at this point?

12:56
Eno Sarris: Rasmus for me. Viciedo is absolutely useful… against lefties.

12:57
Comment From Jon
Like Quintana more than Gee, Kendrick, Floyd, Worley, Wade Davis – guys like that?

12:58
Eno Sarris: Okay I snuck a look at his numbers. They’re a little better than I expected, and he always had good control. I’ll take the under on his projections, maybe a high-threes ERA and a good whip, 7k/9 or so. I’d take him over those guys. Davis is only close one.

12:58
Comment From Wobatus
Smuttynose Baltic Porter or North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout? Both 100 on Ratebeer.

12:58
Eno Sarris: Ole Rasputin.

12:58
Comment From Cop Killer
Hello beautiful, headley and seager for gyorko and carl crawfish in a 3 player keeper league. headley was drafted last year at 19th round. who wins? thanks and

12:59
Eno Sarris: Flattery will get you everywhere. This sounds like a familiar setup. Like I’m in this league perhaps. OBP? I’ll take the Headley side. No way I want to keep Crawford in a keep-three.

12:59
Comment From Jesse Orosco
is Eric Sogard the reincarnation of Rance Mulliniks?

1:00
Comment From Wobatus
Morrow’s swinging strike rate is down around 5%.

Bartolo Colon throws 93% fastballs and does just fine.

1:00
Eno Sarris: “just fine”

1:00
Comment From Jordan
I’ve been trying to find Supplication for months now. I saw it once and passed it up (IDIOT) and that was a 3 hour drive away. I went back to the store twice and it wasn’t there. Then I cried.

1:00
Comment From Crusty
Mistook Rissian River Consecration and 3 Supplication American Wild as video game names. I’m not a gamer, and didn’t recognize them as beer names.

1:01
Comment From Eric
Knee deeps’ Hop Shortage! Yummy… Tried the hoptopolis?

1:01
Eno Sarris: No but I like Knee Deep. Unless you mean the hoptologist, I do like that one. And this has been a beer lude.

1:01
Comment From AJT
Joey Votto is having a better start this year than last

1:01
Eno Sarris: “Perspective.”

1:01
Comment From Balzacsballsac
E Money! You’re the only fantasy writer I trust anymore. It’s you, me & Jarrod Parker or BUST! Who do you think you’re a closer comp to? Eddie Money, “E” of the Eels or my favorite film critic Andrew Sarris?

1:02
Eno Sarris: Easy E. But! I did used to tell art history chicks in college that I was related to Andrew Sarris as a pickup line.

1:02
Comment From CGC
probably asked before the coveritlivepocalypse but do you like José Fernandez at Great American Ballpark? First scary lineup he’ll be facing.

1:02
Eno Sarris: I think he can manage it.

1:02
Comment From Dusty
Cingrani lives up to his minor league #stonight for the reds?

1:03
Eno Sarris: I think that’ll be a 2-1 game.

1:03
Comment From Cop Killer
Who will be better in 2/3 years? Jose Fernandez or Matt Harvey?

1:03
Eno Sarris: Harvey’s third pitch is slightly better, but Jose’s control is better. Great question. Both have great velo. I’ll be a homer and take the guy with three plus-plus pitches.

What in your mind constitutes a replacement-level sandwich? League average?

Rendon won’t be getting a callup any time soon. Zimmerman will go to first eventually, although right now LaRoche’s contract runs through 2014 with a 2015 mutual option. And talk to Desmond if you think Zimmerman has a long-term problem, he’ll tell you what’s up, or at least his opinion on it

Read on Razzball this morning in reference to this ump. Is this worth watching? Eddings averaged 15.8 K/9 called in 2011. He was letting pitches that were both off the plate and high on the right side get called strikes.

Comment From AsandJaysFan
Hey Eno, I just saw a roto note claiming Zunino to be the best catching prospect in the game. Do you buy it? Is stock dropping on D’Arnaud?

1:17
Eno Sarris: I’ve been consistent: I don’t think TDA will be a great fantasy catcher. .275/.325/.400 is a great real life catcher, but is a meh fantasy catcher.

1:19
Eno Sarris: Hey it’s pretty early for a TJ returner in the minors on pitching limitations.

1:20
Comment From Garth Vader
How deep down do you have to be when you realize its time to just punt a category? I’m in 5th place in a roto league where I autodrafted and I’ve got 2 saves (Balfour) and that’s all while everyone else has 9+. Auto didn’t take any other relievers and anyone with a closing job is taken. Picked up James Russell to roll the dice on some saves, but since I’m doing well in other categories should I boot saves and not worryabout trading for them?

1:20
Eno Sarris: Yeah but saves are the easiest things to get on the wire…

1:20
Comment From David
Matt Moore’s problems with throwing strikes have come up more than once in these chats; do you think I’d be selling high on him now, assuming the hype wears off if he doesn’t become an ace this year?

1:20
Eno Sarris: I just wish his first-strike % was nice or something. I’ll keep looking. HIs stuff is ace-like.

1:21
Comment From AFan
Why doesn’t Votto hit more instead of walking? He has 22 walks, double of next guy Pujols with 11.

1:21
Eno Sarris: Because the number one thing that Votto is concerned with is getting on base and not costing his team an out.

1:21
Eno Sarris: (as it should be)
