Eno Sarris: here in seven
9:01 |
Eno Sarris: lyrics of the day! I actually think this guy sounds like Bruce Springsteen on quaaludes. Am I crazy?
Everything I love is on the table Everything I love is out to sea
9:02 |
Comment From person hscerI picked Ryan Zimmerman and Eric Stults in Fangraphs The Game yesterday. Go me. If only I had picked Dioner Navarro, but at least Erik Kratz hit ONE HR.
9:02 |
Comment From FIFAHi ES, approximate date of J-Fer shutdown? thanks.
9:02 |
Eno Sarris: I think he can throw 150 IP this year.
9:02 |
Comment From IsaacGausman rushed up?
9:02 |
Eno Sarris: Maybe. But the stuff is undeniable and that team needs upside in the starting rotation. I’d have done it.
9:03 |
Comment From MilhouseI traded for Hosmer in a dynasty league this offseason. I kinda have to wait this out don’t I…
9:03 |
Eno Sarris: Yuuup. Sucks.
9:03 |
Comment From Chief WahooHow do you see the pecking order in the Indians pen for the remainder of the year? How about for next year?
9:04 |
Eno Sarris: Right now: Pestano/Smith/Allen. If Perez shoulder is an all-year thing, Allen moves to second and is next in line for closer role. Because he’s the long-term asset, and he has the most gas and strikeouts, which are best correlated with closer changes. Next year, Perez/Pestano/Allen if they all healthy. Or Pestano/Allen. But Pestano health isn’t great, so I like Allen some.
9:04 |
Comment From Tacoby BellsburyHaven’t seen the lyrics, but I’m guessing Avenged Sevenfold AMIRITE?????
9:05 |
Comment From MilhouseThoughts on Markakis ROS in OBP league?
9:05 |
Eno Sarris: I like him. He’s steady eddie. The steals are probably gone for good.
9:05 |
Comment From JEBshould chris davis be considered a “sell high” candidate? or is he going to keep up this level of production for the remainder of the season?
9:05 |
Eno Sarris: The power is real and that’s why you own him. If someone buys him as a .300 hitter, I’d sell. I think he’ll hit about .260-.270 RoS.
9:06 |
Eno Sarris: Still Ks, if not as bad as before.
9:06 |
Comment From FIFAWahts wrong with lincecum???????
9:06 |
Eno Sarris: Everything. His line looks exactly the same as last year, and that sucks. I’ve been holding on to him in my K/9 H2H league, but it’s getting harder and harder, Ringo.
9:06 |
Comment From ChristopherI’ve got Bronson Arroyo, Tim Hudson, Scott Feldman, and Zack Wheeler (soon) in Scoresheet, but only three spots. Help?
9:06 |
Eno Sarris: shop till you drop, starting with Feldman.
9:07 |
Comment From Otto "King of Swatto" VelezDo you think Lawrie eventually “gets it” or was he just overhyped from the very beginning?
9:07 |
Eno Sarris: I still like him. Gonna form an offer in a n 18-tm dynasty league where I need a 3B later today. Has power and speed and normally doesn’t strike out too much. This year could be lost, and that happens with young guys.
9:08 |
Comment From taylor14 team H2H, Lucroy, Butler, Pedroia, Castro, Machado, A Jones, Aoki, Pagan, and Rizzo. Where should I look to upgrade? I’ve always focused on Pagan, he’s got the lowest projected pts based on ZIPs/Steamer ROS on my roster (ex Machado)
9:08 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah I just traded Pagan and a pitcher away for an upgrade in one league. Pagan has some trade value and you’re right about his OPS.
9:08 |
Comment From BlockheadAt what point can a fantasy owner in a shallow redraft mixer throw up the white flag and drop BJ? Is it now?!
9:09 |
Eno Sarris: His upside is to hit to a .240 BA the rest of the season, so if you are in a league with batting average as a category and your BA is already not good…
9:09 |
Comment From Tacoby BellsburyJustin Uptown in a terrible tailspin … give me hope, tell me something nice about him before I do something silly.
9:09 |
Eno Sarris: Remember how the season started. He’s still that guy.
9:09 |
Comment From Maxamuz
Please inform Juan Pierres Mustache that I have not forgotten about him. #MortalEnemy
9:09 |
Comment From Benlooking to trade Strasburg for Stanton H2H Keeper league. Thoughts?
9:10 |
Eno Sarris: Get a sleeper pitcher back with Stanton. I love Stras this year.
9:10 |
Comment From MylesI have Fujikawa and Hanaranhan on the 60-day in a FG points league. Justin Wilson, Brett Cecil, Jared Burton and Cody Allen look like my best waiver options, which do you like best?
9:10 |
Eno Sarris: Allen should get some holds now and I love his stuff.
9:10 |
Comment From DrewJSIn a 12-team league, is it worth it to keep D. Phelps and S. Feldman on my roster? I need OF/DH help and am thinking about picking up K. Morales, D. Nava, D. Brown.
9:11 |
Eno Sarris: I’d pick up Brown. I’d drop… either. Phelps I guess. I like him, and he has more Ks, but not swSTR, and what if he’s not right.
9:11 |
Comment From Love my rabbitsWho do you see with better numbers ROS, Ellsbury or Gardner?
9:11 |
Comment From jwise224Eno, can’t wait for the BeerGraphs launch! I cut my teeth drinking Oregon IPA’s but have recently fallen in love with some of the beauties being produced in San Diego. Which of the two do you prefer?
9:11 |
Eno Sarris: San Diego. I love their beers.
9:12 |
Comment From Seal ClubberWhere can I go to find the average velocity of different pitches for say, Jered Weavers start yesterday?
9:12 |
Comment From JEBmy league is terrible this year with trades, i can usually get 1 or 2 done, but this season is terrible, so far i’ve been rejected offering Peavy for Beltran, CJ Wilson for Reynolds, and Latos for Trumbo, any tips to help me out or am i doomed?
9:13 |
Eno Sarris: Trading is really hard right now in fantasy baseball. You guys have any suggestions on settings that would help trading happen? Trying to brainstorm this. My response has been to overpay for guys I like. Dunno if that’s a good idea, but my team has needs and everyone loves their own g-dang players, so you pretty much have to.
9:13 |
Comment From MilhouseI know you don’t like selling low, but when is selling low the better option vs. waiting to drop someone to the waiver wire?
9:14 |
Eno Sarris: I think when you can identify a guy you think will be better than your guy RoS on the waiver wire, and the projections agree, you might as well take a look around the league and see if anyone wants to buy low.
9:14 |
Comment From EddieWhen I got Stanton back from the DL, do I bench Heyward or Soriano? Can’t believe I even have to ask this question.
9:14 |
Eno Sarris: don’t want to platoon Heyward in real life, but you could platoon him in fantasy. Sit Heyward against lefties, Soriano otherwise?
9:14 |
Comment From the Gregorius D.I.D.(i)I am in a 5×5 mixed 16 team keep 12 where I have Cano,Reyes, Hill, Gregorius, Carpenter, and Profar…..we start SS, 2B, and MI…who should I be looking to sell?
9:15 |
Eno Sarris: Well it might hurt your handle, but Didi… CArp is so valuable as a backup around the diamond and solid overall guy.
9:15 |
Comment From GordonGausman not getting the ball down with regularity. Would you agree that that is his fundamental problem? Will he be able to correct?
9:15 |
Eno Sarris: People say that’s a problem with Bauer, but Bauer might be more obstinate. Haven’t heard that Gausman has that problem. His control was impeccable in the minors. I feel like his command has to at least be ‘good.’ Which means, yes I think it’s correctable.
9:16 |
Comment From RSKEno, let me remind you that I am the King of R&B
9:16 |
Comment From TimNeed 1b help in a keeper league, Tim Lincecum for Mark Teixera or Adam Laroche? Which one would you rather have, and should I do give up on Timmy?
9:17 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah do it. BA league? really close. I guess LaRoche? Might still want Teix for R/RBI. Teix.
9:17 |
Comment From JEBbummed the beergraphs meetup is in SanFran, you should hold the next one in cleveland, I’d totally make it to that
9:17 |
Eno Sarris: That’s tough. We have Chicago (July) and NYC (September) planned at least.
9:17 |
Comment From KevinI pressed the drop button 9000 times in a 3 second span trying to drop Kevin Gausman and I think I broke my computer. Do you happen to know a good lawyer? I am looking to press charges against Mr. Gausman.
9:18 |
Comment From the Gregorius D.I.D.(i)TREE-VOAR PLo-oofiee!!!
9:18 |
Eno Sarris: This interlude has been brought to you by the number 9000 and the podcast The Sleeper and The Bust.
9:18 |
Comment From HENO! Is Hellickson droppable for average waiver wire fodder? What’s up with him??
9:20 |
Eno Sarris: I wouldn’t yet. He’s on my nightmare staff with Lincecum. I have like 11 great pitching staffs, and then a nightmare staff with Greinke, Gio, Hellickson, LIncecum, Phelps, Doubront, Lackey, Wacha, Pettite… 15 team k/9. yuck.
9:20 |
Comment From maxdo you have chris carpenter in any leagues? feels like the cards will need him in the rotation.
9:20 |
Eno Sarris: I don’t, but I do have a league with like eight DL spots, and I would definitely put him on that DL next time I make a move.
9:20 |
Comment From GeoffNick Franklin… what will his stats look like the rest of the year?
9:21 |
Eno Sarris: I think he has Neil Walker upside. He also has Neil Walker downside. .280/20/10 upside, this year maybe .275/10/8 RoS
9:21 |
Comment From MikeWhat do you do when your staff has a number of good, not great guys? I’m in a 12 team league where I have Felix, CC, Lohse, McCarthy, Cahill, Morrow, and Fernandez. Try to trade 2 of the middle of the road guys for a better guy, like Lohse/Cahill for Shields?
9:22 |
Eno Sarris: You gotta try. Probably won’t happen, but make it look like an overpay and it might work. Just make sure you get the best guy back. Even Fernandez/Cahill for Shields makes sense, given IP limits.
9:22 |
Comment From Frank CAre Bradley and Iglesias up for good or are these just temporary promos?
9:22 |
Eno Sarris: sounds like they are temporary and because they’re on the 40-man.
9:22 |
Comment From DavidThanks for chatting! I won’t find any Segura-type steals on the waiver wire, but would any of Drew, Espinosa, Kawasaki, Florimon or Descalso be an upgrade at SS over Alexei Ramirez ROS in a deep league?
9:22 |
Eno Sarris: No, but you could put Drew on your bench and try the quantity approach.
9:22 |
Comment From jwise224Is Aaron Hicks worth a $3 bid claim in Ottoneu? I don’t have any young outfield prospects. Any younger guys I should be targeting instead?
9:23 |
Eno Sarris: Yes, I like that one. Even in points. He has five-cat upside.
9:23 |
Comment From koalaswhat do you think of dominic brown? picked him up last week, should i look to sell high now?
9:23 |
Eno Sarris: No I like Brown. I mean, he’s probably not a thirty-homer guy, but he could get close. I don’t think he needs to have a low BABIP either. Could .275/25/10 without getting lucky.
9:24 |
Comment From JordanEno! The subpar chatter and serial class updater has returned. Can you believe they wouldn’t let me take my exams on another day even though I told them your chat was at the same time? Any good new beers that I missed?
9:24 |
Eno Sarris: oh man oh man I had Nebuchadnezzar IPA from like Sweden or somewhere last night and it blew my mind
9:24 |
Comment From SpencerI’m pretty sure that’s not Tom Petty.
9:24 |
Eno Sarris: Why would it be
9:25 |
Comment From GeoffJust saw your tweet about Kazmir’s velocity… saw it when I watched the Sox game on TV. Was 88-91 from what I saw on the gun most of the game. Good story still though
9:25 |
Eno Sarris: Oh that’s not good. I’m not going to stream him today then.
9:25 |
Comment From MiketronIf Mariano Rivera is bacon, what does that make Fernando Rodney? Scrapple?
9:25 |
Eno Sarris: sweat breads.
9:25 |
Comment From Larry DavidSalvador Perez has been very disappointing so far this year. He’s supposed to be better than this right?
9:26 |
Eno Sarris: I feel like the K% is too high, and the BA will drop. I never loved his power.
9:26 |
Comment From RSKOver/under on The National winning 85 grammies this season?
9:26 |
Eno Sarris: Yes but what’s your question!
9:26 |
Comment From BenWhen do we see Taijuan Walker?
9:26 |
Comment From JALHi Eno. Please tell me Miguel Montero picks it up at least a little?
9:26 |
Eno Sarris: There isn’t much in his peripherals that says he’s broken.
9:26 |
Comment From DanI have Heyward D. Jennings and Cuddyer to use on my last roster spot. How should I use them? Rotate for best match up or just stick with one?
9:27 |
Eno Sarris: Two for one. Jennings or Cuddyer plus a pitcher for a better pitcher. Heyward/remaining OF enough for one slot.
9:27 |
Comment From GregReports on Pineda’s velocity are good – what can we reasonably expect from him this season?
9:27 |
Eno Sarris: He still only has two pitches. I’d expect a high threes ERA, too many homers from lefties, a decent whip if his control is back, good K rate.
9:27 |
Comment From GuestMarginally related question: why can’t we have local guys do the TV broadcasts for the World Series? It would let people get to know local personalities and I wouldn’t have to listen to Joe Buck pretend to know something about baseball.
9:27 |
Comment From KevinDesmond Jennings seems to be trying to run roughly as often as in years past but this year he seems to be either getting picked off or straight up caught way too often. Do you imagine this kind of thing eventually stabilizes or has Mr. Jennings actually come down with a case of the dumb and/or slows?
9:28 |
Eno Sarris: Everyone gets slower, but it would be early for him. Have not seen anything on the stabilization of sB success rates…
9:28 |
Comment From GregWhat is wrong with Starlin Castro? Apprently hes not the “safest” bet at shortstop this year.
9:29 |
Eno Sarris: No, doesn’t look like it. But I still think he’ll end the season near .290 with 10/25ish numbers, so that’s still safe for me. Just got passed by as other SS improved/got healthy.
9:29 |
Comment From DDSPNathan Eovaldi is about to come back for the fish. Can he be fantasy relevant?
9:29 |
Eno Sarris: Needs another pitch. Spot start at home against teams that don’t have great lefty presence.
9:29 |
Comment From EvanAny chance Billy Hamilton makes an appearance in June? Feel like stashing
9:30 |
Eno Sarris: I think he will. Choo’s D is no good, the corner OF platoon is not exciting, and Hamilton has improved at the plate some this month. June 15, the super two date is gone, and he could at least come up and push Choo over to LF against lefties.
9:30 |
Eno Sarris: (or to the bench, given his platoon numbers)
9:30 |
Comment From JordanOh grooveshark, you playing ska right now. You so silly.
9:31 |
Comment From MaxamuzIt’s been another week and I feel compelled to tell the masses here that LUCAS DUDA hit .320/.346 with 1 HR and 5 RBI last 7 days. #Duda #MVP
9:31 |
Comment From MikeI feel like
9:31 |
Eno Sarris: boom, interlude/d.
9:31 |
Comment From PopsJosh Donaldson legit?
9:32 |
Eno Sarris: The new K% fits his minor league K%. Really want to interview him. I think he can .280/20/5 kind of true talent the rest of the way. So yes, legit, but a step back.
9:32 |
Comment From JALI know it was a bit of a mistake, but alas, I have a logjam at OF with Braun, J. Upton, Heyward, Holliday and Marte. Can you recommend trading at least one of them and a good target/s (SP or SS mainly)? Greatly appreciated.
9:32 |
Eno Sarris: Targets are impossible to give you, you should give me some ideas off of teams that need OF help. I’d look at trading Marte, who still looks like a .275 hitter true talent if you look at underlying numbers.
9:32 |
Comment From GuestDate we see Myers?
9:33 |
Eno Sarris: Well he’s been heating up, but June 20?
9:33 |
Comment From Lethargic CouncilWhat to do with Profar?
9:33 |
Comment From BenzedrineNon-keeper OBP league: Derek Dietrich or Nick Franklin for MI?
9:33 |
Comment From GregDeep league catcher connundrum – Kratz or Iannetta?
9:33 |
Eno Sarris: Batting average? Kratz.
9:33 |
Comment From GuestTrade Ryan Zimmerman and Masterson for Heyward in dynasty?
9:34 |
Eno Sarris: If you have a 3B behind Zimm, yes.
9:34 |
Comment From johnboyRank these *maybe* future closers in order of usefulness ROS: Peralta, Hernandez, Allen, Delabar
9:34 |
Eno Sarris: McGee, Allen, Peralta, Delabar, Hernandez.
9:34 |
Comment From walkerDo you know happen to know what the % is or where to find the percentage of Chris Davis’ HR’s that have been hit on pitches outside the strike zone this year? The power on pitches outside the zone is ridiculous.
9:35 |
Eno Sarris: We’ve got O-Zone contact rate, but no I haven’t seen power numbers based on that.
9:35 |
Comment From the Gregorius D.I.D.(i)Alex Colome: potential closer of the future for the Rays (today’s spot start notwithstanding?)
9:35 |
Eno Sarris: Actually, let’s wait to see the changeup. It could be legit, and give him three pitches.
9:35 |
Comment From GuestWhat do you make of Wacha for St Louis. I’ve droppped Kyle Lohse to pick him up in my roto league
9:35 |
Eno Sarris: I’d do that move, but I wouldn’t fall in love with Wacha just yet. I want to see why his K rate is so low this year.
9:35 |
Comment From taylorWho you selling first, Zimmermann or Corbin?
9:36 |
Eno Sarris: Corbin. I like him in real life, but in fantasy, the lower K upside and the BABIP regression probably hurts him.
9:36 |
Comment From JPSomeone offered me his Hewyard for my Bruce… Accept? Or try to finagle a pitcher out of him as well?
9:36 |
Eno Sarris: get a pitcher too but I take it
9:36 |
Comment From RubenIs there any way Bogaerts gets the start over Iglesias this year if Drew gets hurt after June 15th? It seems that Iglesias’ fate as a utility bench player is close to set.
9:36 |
Eno Sarris: I’m worried that Bogaerts will start at third over MB.
9:37 |
Comment From Lethargic CouncilReasonable trade target for the Giants…Lee, Nolasco, Porcello? Any others?
9:38 |
Eno Sarris: We were talking Phil Hughes at one point on twitter. I do see them looking at a pitcher. I liked Kickham’s stuff more than his results, but this team might need more than him. You can see how this Giants team will start to fall apart, since the minor leagues are pretty much Crick, maybe Brown and nothing else.
9:38 |
Comment From CeetarWhat do you think of the ‘franchising’ of the Hofbrauhaus? (small one in NYC, opening in Buffalo, Vegas, etc) authenticish beer halls are never bad are they?
9:39 |
Eno Sarris: I enjoyed it in NYC. The beers aren’t top-top shelf, but the brats are good, and the atmosphere approximates a real Haus.
9:39 |
Comment From DanWait it out with Gallardo?
9:39 |
Eno Sarris: I dunno. the swSTR is gone for some reason. I don’t get him.
9:39 |
Comment From JordanI think “Edward 40 Hands” Lawrie might lack the correct mental state to be a successful major leaguer.
9:39 |
Eno Sarris: Feel like this has been said bout other players and they were fine. He’s not Milton Bradley yet is he
9:40 |
Comment From JackFrieri and A-Jax for Crawford and McLouth? My offense is stacked, but do I pay for saves?
9:40 |
Eno Sarris: Not time to pay for saves yet. Still time to find it on the wire.
9:40 |
Comment From Father GuidoHey Eno, love the chat sessions. I am in a 16-team dynasty league, and I’m contending this year. I have depth at pitching, but does it make sense to swap Matt Moore, Elvis Andrus and Alex Gordon for Giancarlo Stanton and Starlin Castro? Or is there too much risk there?
9:41 |
Eno Sarris: Stanton is still the best player in the deal. Castro/Gordon/Moore in a scrum, but a .290/10/25 Castro beats out a .280/20/10 Gordon in the OF and a true talent higher-ERA Moore. It’s risky as all get-out though. Ask for a sleeper pitcher back to even it up.
9:42 |
Eno Sarris: Man I got clocked in pickup basketball. Chin hurts.
9:42 |
Eno Sarris: People don’t understand how much of a contact sport basketball is, maybe. Always get beat up.
9:42 |
Eno Sarris: I’m not stopping, though. Gotta have a score to get me to exercise. HATE running.
9:43 |
Eno Sarris: /personal interlude
9:43 |
Comment From IanIs Berkman a guy in a ten team mixed, or is he the sort you shuttle back and forth on the wire?
9:43 |
Eno Sarris: He’s useful but you have to have a deep bench in order to deal with his days off.
9:43 |
Comment From JakeKevin Hernan in the NY Post recently had a story that quoted a scout as saying the Mets have “the best minor league pitching of any organization, bar none.” What are your thoughts on this statement?
9:44 |
Eno Sarris: Wheeler, Syndergaard and Montero are pretty awesome. Gausman Bundy is a good one-two if you still count him. Red Sox with Webster and Rubby are sitting pretty. Hultzen/Walker? yeah, actually I think it looks good for the Mets in this group.
9:44 |
Comment From MikeI own both Matt Carpenter and Ian Kinsler in a 12 team league. Try to trade Carpenter for an upgrade elsewhere if I can grab Gyorko to fill in at 2nd until Kinsler comes back?
9:45 |
Eno Sarris: Sure. I like Carp, but he’s probably like a .280/18 guy without any speed. If it’s all about second base, Gyorko can fill in.
9:45 |
Comment From GuestJust got offered Adrian Gonzalez and Machado for Darvish. Should I be worried about Machado falling off?
9:45 |
Eno Sarris: Yes. Manny’s hitting a ton of pop ups and his BABIP and BA will fall accordingly. He’s done this for most of his career.
9:45 |
Comment From the Gregorius D.I.D.(i)I declare war on Person….that’s right….all of you!
9:46 |
Eno Sarris: man we have all sorts of vendettas flying around.
9:46 |
Comment From Mad MonkWould you rather have Gregorius or Simmons in an BP/SLG keeper league?
9:46 |
Eno Sarris: Batting Practice league? OBP. ah. Well Simmons isn’t going to set either of those stats on fire, so I guess take a shot on Didi. I don’t know where all this is coming from though.
9:46 |
Comment From prpls rank in a long term keeper league: McCarthy, B.Anderson, Luebke and Niese. thanks!
9:47 |
Eno Sarris: Anderson, Luebke, McCarthy, Niese.
9:47 |
Comment From Danwould you trade Matt Holliday and Nolan Arenado for Anthony Rizzo in a dynasty league?
9:47 |
Eno Sarris: yes. Ask for a sweetner though because Rizzo’s BA is down right now.
9:47 |
Comment From the Gregorius D.I.D.(i)Bobby Parnell a good bet to hold the closer role for the foreseeable future in NY?
9:47 |
Comment From JALAt what point can a fantasy owner in 12-team redraft mixer throw up the white flag and drop Konerko?
9:48 |
Eno Sarris: I think he could .260/20 the rest of the way. I bet there are others than can do that on your wire and have more upside.
9:48 |
Comment From JPAny of these guys worth dropping Gausman for? Hellickson, Juan Nicasio, Jose Quintana, Jhoulys Chacin, Tyler Skaggs, Ted Lilly,
9:48 |
Eno Sarris: In a redraft, Quintana and Hellickson catch my eye. probably Q.
9:48 |
Comment From ozzieShould Dom Brown owners be cautious over his current performance? He hasn’t walked the entire month of May.
9:49 |
Eno Sarris: Walks aren’t well correlated with any fantasy stats other than perhaps runs. And he’s walked much more than this over his career.
9:49 |
Comment From Motley YuThat David Phelps train derailed pretty hard huh?
9:49 |
Eno Sarris: I want to know more about his contusion. He’s a command guy, so he was walking a tightrope anyway.
9:50 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheHey, did you guys see Lucas Duda fielding the other day? (that’s the whole joke)
9:50 |
Eno Sarris: AW SNAP DID YOU HEAR THAT
9:50 |
Comment From Guestwhat do you think we see from arenado ros?
9:50 |
Comment From JPDoes Ned Yost realize that sending Holland out once every 6 or so days probably isn’t going to work out too well?
9:50 |
Eno Sarris: Probably thinks closers pitch badly in non save situations.
9:50 |
Comment From BenJEB is a fool
9:51 |
Eno Sarris: CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG
9:51 |
Comment From kevinthecomichow many innings do the mets give harvey? the dodgers give ryu?
9:52 |
Eno Sarris: Harvey won’t slow much, he can 190-200 easily. Ryu, dunno. He pitched 200+ last year though…
9:52 |
Comment From BBBetter DH stash – Corey Hart or Michael Pineda? I need help in basically every category.

Comment From FIFAHEY ES thanks. we know JoseFer is gonna pitch around150. but is he worth holding onto in h2h redraft? considering fantasy playoffs? thanks!
9:52 |
Eno Sarris: If nobody will trade with you, worth holding.
9:53 |
Comment From jwise224In Otto I own Webster, Snydergaard, Cosart and Archer. Who has the most upside and who should be the first to cut if I get in a roster crunch?
9:53 |
Eno Sarris: Cosart to cut. Webster for upside Imo. Archer if the change is legit (It didn’t really look legit to me).
9:53 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheTrades in my leagues seem to be either 1) teams have massive positional needs and find a team with depth at that position but a need at another or 2) one team is willing to buy low on someone like BJ, Morrow, Heyward, Lawrie, etc. where the other team has written the guy off.
9:54 |
Comment From MikeI think the biggest problem is that nobody likes to trade for depth and there are a bunch of people out there who make the “Two B’s for an A” type deal. You really do have to overpay.
9:54 |
Eno Sarris: At the very least, you have to put in the second player that you’ll drop in a two-for-one so they can see the upgrade plainly.
9:54 |
Comment From LarryAMy otto league has had tons of trades, mostly involving prospects for non-keepers on teams already giving up on this year
9:54 |
Eno Sarris: Dynasties actually encourage trades imo.
9:54 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheI believe Mark Reynolds has stated his intention to use the Bauer song as walkup music
9:55 |
Eno Sarris: He already did. Probably don’t have to hear much of Trevor rapping though.
9:55 |
Comment From harjitHey Eno, happy Thursday. Love the new podcast! So informative!
9:55 |
Comment From JamesSaw a Rays website throw a RH David Price comp on Alex Colome. Sound right to you?
9:55 |
Eno Sarris: Saw that too. Want to see the secondary pitches. Love the velocity reports.
9:55 |
Comment From ConnorWhat’s the deal with Headley..looks lost at the plate albiet a homer in yesterday’s game. Do you see him repeating his big second half of last year or was last year an outlier?
9:56 |
Eno Sarris: I like him. I think he made fundamental changes that will help his power game going forward.
9:56 |
Eno Sarris: Everyone looks bad at the plate when they’re going bad.
9:56 |
Comment From AdamOgando and Chris Young for Zobrist..thoughts?
9:56 |
Eno Sarris: yes yes please yes and yes some more. (zobrist side)
9:56 |
Comment From MetsamorphosisTime for me to purge my team from dead weight. Have Miley, Timmy, Hosmer. Do I hold on to any of them or just drop all three and don’t look back?
9:57 |
Eno Sarris: Try to keep Hosmer the longest. Timmy could be first to go at this point. Can’t beat Oakland at home…
9:57 |
Comment From DDSPTell me more about the NYC beergraphs event.
9:57 |
Eno Sarris: mid September is when I’m out there.
9:57 |

9:57 |
Eno Sarris: Like, don’t love. Deep leaguer.

Comment From JTToo soon to give up on Chris Carter in dynasties?
9:58 |
Eno Sarris: Naw. K monster.
9:58 |
Comment From MartyIs jeremy hellickson worthanything ROS? If i cant start him at home against miami, i dont know when i can
9:58 |
Eno Sarris: yes that was upsetting. I’m still not giving up.
9:58 |
Comment From JEBBeergraphs, Chicago, July? When, I’ll be there then actually!
9:58 |
Eno Sarris: Looking like July 18.
9:58 |
Comment From DallasCan we get a transcript of The Sleeper and the Bust rap lyrics? Dope.
9:59 |
Comment From Saison SeasonI am a fan of the 2:1. Sure, it can backfire. But it shows you have some stones in what you’re projecting to receive over the long haul. I flipped Jennings/League for Ellsbury earlier in the year.
9:59 |
Eno Sarris: Everyone sees me coming a mile away with em now though.
9:59 |
Comment From GuestIf Billy Hamilton was called up today, how many SBs do you think he’d have the rest of the year?
9:59 |
Eno Sarris: 40? Majors, so you have to calm down all projections.
9:59 |
Comment From SteveHow you feel about BJ Upton? Will he turn it around? I just traded Nick Swisher for him, figureed the chance at upside made it worth it
10:00 |
Eno Sarris: I think he could .240/15/15 or so RoS
10:00 |
Comment From Lethargic CouncilIs Joc Pederson James T. Worthy of a mixed league add should he get the call? I’ve read where the Dodgers aren’t sending their best hitters to the Pacific League for fear of getting fat, drunk and lazy whilst producing Coors Fieldesque numbers…
10:01 |
Eno Sarris: LOL. I guess Puig isn’t in front of Pederson now? Still waiting on an Ethier trade or he won’t have a chance to play.
10:01 |
Comment From RyguyPorcello…has he arrived? Discuss.
10:01 |
Eno Sarris: Well the curve looked great, but will it continue to? He’s deep league interesting, and if they parlay that start into a trade to the NL, he’s probably mixed league interesting. As is, in mixed leagues, I’m holding off.
10:01 |
Comment From BBWill Morneau ever hit for power again? I like the RBI production, but really miss the HR.
10:02 |
Eno Sarris: He’s a little old and broken. I wouldn’t expect a 30 homer season again.
10:02 |
Comment From dudeWhen do you consider average flyball distance to stabalize? 300 PA?…more? And are there any studies that show a low of X amount of feet means a true loss in power? Is it 5 feet? 10 feet? More? Thanks eno.
10:02 |
Eno Sarris: I think we are working on this. The number for true gain in power was 15 feet…
10:02 |
Comment From GuestWhats the deal with Ryan Madson? Does he close whenever he makes it back?
10:02 |
Eno Sarris: Doesn’t look like it. another set back is bad news bears.
10:03 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheusing chris johnson at CI because of all this lawrie business. Plouffe a better option? Or try and trade Iwakuma for…Freeman/Reynolds/Konerko?
10:03 |
Eno Sarris: Johnson’s not playing enough. Plouffe. If you can afford to turf Iwakuma, Freeman’s the one I want in a batting average league.
10:03 |
Comment From BruceDo you put a slice of orange/lemon in wheat beers, or is that just for n00bs?
10:04 |
Eno Sarris: I mean, they do in Germany. And that’s Germany. Then again, German kids put coca cola in their wine so…
10:04 |
Comment From DaveWhat do you mean by Neil Walker downside? He’s improved every year.
10:04 |
Eno Sarris: Oh just bad Neil Walker version. I like Neil Walker.
10:04 |
Comment From harjitWould you give up Pujols for Greinke; and Cobb+a little for Freeman? Would that be an upgrade in a 12 team h2h?
10:04 |
Eno Sarris: I wouldn’t. I love Cobb.
10:05 |
Comment From GuestHey Eno, How do you deal with having too many players at a position? For example I have Wright and Machado at 3B, and I have tried to shop one of them but I haven’t gotten an offer I like…Should I just keep the depth? thanks!
10:05 |
Eno Sarris: those guys are good enough to play. 3B isn’t far off from OF and 1B, and in fact was ahead of 1B at one point. You’re fine if nobody will trade with you.
10:05 |
Comment From DonIn a dynasty league do I pick up Archer or Wacha?
10:05 |
Eno Sarris: If you don’t need a pitcher right now, Archer.
10:06 |
Comment From TJheyyy buddy! now that kinsler is on the shelf for up to 6 weeks (loud noises!) Profar’s value obviously goes up…but would you rather have him or Gyorko while Kinsler is out? I’ve got Gyorko now hoping for HRs…think I should scoop up Profar instead?
10:06 |
Eno Sarris: I like Gyorko for home runs.
10:06 |
Comment From SpencerCould I get a bucket of baseballs for Brandon Morrow and Brandon McCarthy?
10:06 |
Eno Sarris: I wouldn’t give em to you.
10:06 |
Comment From JordanJust want to say thanks again for recommending that I drop Danny Espinosa for Segura before he became God of Fantasy Baseball.
10:06 |
Comment From asdfasdfHow many prospects do you think is too many to have on an Ottoneu team? I have 8 which seems excessive. Thank you
10:07 |
Eno Sarris: I like five to seven. Eight’s not terrible. Five means you have a 35 man roster otherwise, which is a lot for a 22-man lineup.
10:07 |
Comment From Guest #1Serious Question: How do I not allow a horrible Roto evening to put me in a miserable mood for the rest of the night? I cant be the only one.
10:07 |
Eno Sarris: Make a trade offer that gives you a smile.
10:08 |
Comment From GuestLawrie worth hanging on to in a Dynasty league? I only signed him 1 yr at his high price, thinking he wasn’t going to be worth that and planned to resign him long term in the offseason to a much cheaper deal. I’m in contention right now and that FAAB budget I would get back would really help..
10:08 |
Eno Sarris: I would hold.
10:09 |
Comment From Foul Ball GagENO…do the braves plan to use Alex Wood out of the pen for as long as he performs, or is this just a temporary deal until Beachy returns and works briefly from the pen or forces Teheran (maybe Hudson) into relief duty?
10:09 |
Eno Sarris: He might start or something, and his stats are crazy good. Looks like Hulet thought his delivery wasn’t smooth, and there’s some question about his third pitch. I think Beachy returns and pushes Wood back.
10:10 |
Comment From magguuI LIKE scrapple. None of it here in the South.
10:10 |
Eno Sarris: yeah, I don’t like Sweet Breads really.
10:10 |
Comment From DallasEno – Any good summer brews you can point to? I tried the Lil’Sumpin’ Sumpin’, it’s good but I can’t imagine drinking it all summer long.
10:10 |
Eno Sarris: have you tried saisons? That’s a big summer beer for me, but not everyone likes it.
10:11 |
Comment From Gila MonsterHow can I boost OBP and RBI numbers when I am 2nd in HR and SLG?
10:11 |
Eno Sarris: RBI should follow those rankings. OBP? might have to trade a slugger for a top of the lineup guy.
10:11 |
Comment From Really honey, it tastes like Pina ColadaVidal Nuno stay in the rotation? Ivan Nova had a nice showing yesterday? Thoughts?

Comment From sea saltwhat do first basemen talk about at first base w/ other teams players?

Eno Sarris: say hello to the wife
10:12 |
Comment From GuestIn Fangraphs: The Game, would you spend big now and get cheap guys later, or the other way around?
10:12 |
Eno Sarris: have to think there are going to be some cheap young players up later in the season with bad projections that will outplay those numbers. I’d pay for stars now.
10:12 |
Comment From MiketronDoes Maurer’s demotion mean its Erasmo time soon?
10:13 |
Eno Sarris: I hope so but Orgasmo’s tricep is still hurting. Someone else first. Could be exciting, since the GM is fighting for his job. Hultzen?
10:13 |
Comment From ZachI hated The National so much at first I would google, “does anyone else not like the national?” I was alone.
10:13 |
Eno Sarris: They are really mellow.
10:13 |
Comment From dudeOn Jason Heyward, his swing percentage is down. He is actually being too passive. I think once he adjusts his strategy at the plate a little bit, he will be fine.
10:13 |
Comment From RSKAre you starting to buy Masterson against lefties?
10:14 |
Eno Sarris: Nope. burying the slider in on the hands only works if they swing at it and it’s not a strike. if it’s a strike, it’s right in the pull wheelhouse.
10:14 |
Comment From Really honey, it tastes like Pina ColadaWhat’s the earliest Rut Rut would return?
10:14 |
Eno Sarris: Watch DJLM BABIP tank. Two, three weeks.
10:14 |
Comment From Matt B.You buying Mark Reynolds adjusting and becoming a .250 hitter?
10:15 |
Eno Sarris: I’ll take the under.
10:15 |
Comment From GrohmanMy league vetoed Iwakuma for Headley. This seemed like a bad veto. Thoughts?
10:15 |
Eno Sarris: Most vetoes are bad. That one is atrocious.
10:15 |
Comment From JordanIf the local guys do it they will most likely be biased. I don’t want to here a Ron Santo-esque cry of despair when someone scores against the Cubs (like the Cubs would ever make it to the World Series).
10:15 |
Eno Sarris: not all local guys are homers. all local guys know the teams better though.
10:15 |
Comment From MikeI had a friend visit from Denver last week and when I got back from work, my fridge was full of Great Divide and Left Hand beer that he had brought from Colorado. Do I need to return the favor the next time I visit him with San Diego beers?
10:16 |
Comment From RyanIthaca IPA. Yay or Nay?
10:16 |
Eno Sarris: Flower Power? Yay.
10:16 |
Comment From dudeWe need a column that constantly reminds us that baseball is a really long season, and that we all need to have more patience…unless you’re talking about tim lincecum.
10:16 |
Eno Sarris: I mean, his numbers all line up with last year’s. It’s bad.
10:16 |
Comment From Drew FairserviceWhere is my Roto-Relevant Research? (Fantasy) Lives are at stake!
10:16 |
Eno Sarris: Wait I gave you one. Is it not up yet?
10:16 |
Comment From RazorAre the fangraphs meetups awkward? Seems like it could be awkward.
10:17 |
Eno Sarris: I’m actually not that awkward. So it helps. Because I talk a lot. And it gets people talking.
10:17 |
Comment From JackBesides Wheeler and Myers who else do you think gets the call this month? Yelich? Springer?
10:17 |
Eno Sarris: Yelich before Springer.
10:17 |
Comment From NolanMachado/Strasburg or Pujols/Bumgarner ROS?
10:17 |
Comment From DallasIs there any reason to believe that Nick Franklin is an upgrade over Ackley ?
10:18 |
Comment From saskatunesAm I crazy or is Jordan Schafer starting to look kind of OK in leadoff?
10:18 |
Eno Sarris: He’s actually made some changes. Still a platoon bat though.
10:18 |
Comment From Shark MapiroThe Atlantic League is testing with measures to speed up baseball games by enforcing rules like the 12 second pitch clock when no one is on base and calling strikes up to the letters as prescribed in the rule book. Would you like to see MLB take these measures if they work?
10:18 |
Eno Sarris: Sounds fine to me. wouldn’t ruin the game.
10:18 |
Comment From RickWhat do you expect from Moustakas career wise? In a keeper league, what kind of pitcher do you think you csn get for him?
10:18 |
Eno Sarris: Can’t get squat for him. Still think he could be a perennial .275/25 guy, but he really needs to quit hitting 50% in the air for a while.
10:19 |
Comment From JordanWasn’t Jake McGee supposed to be the future closer for the Rays?
10:19 |
Eno Sarris: I think he might still be. But the Rays have had a new closer every year they’ve existed.
10:19 |
Comment From DDSPWho do you think the Marlins will trade Ricky Nolasco too and will they get anything in return?
10:19 |
Eno Sarris: they will trade, who knows where, for an a-ball arm.
10:19 |
Comment From ZackTraded away Infante (had Segura, Aybar, B. Phillips for middle IF) for Huston Street (3 RP league and my only other guy was D. Hernandez. I know he’s volatile, and his opps are limited by BEING THE PADRES but…thoughts? No setup or closers were on the wire (12 team league with 3 RP and 2 P slots)
10:20 |
Eno Sarris: Fine with me. And I think Street’s broken somehow. Peripherals suggest to me that he’s hurt.
10:20 |
Comment From SammyAny word on a Grant Green or Rendon getting called up? With Kinsler and Utley injured, I literally don’t have a 2B in my Ottoneu pts league. Don’t want to make a panic trade, but don’t want to lose points for too long either.
10:20 |
Eno Sarris: Have not heard either coming up. JWeeks is doing better this year and might be ahead of Green for a 2B callup anyway. And Lombardozzi might be good enough stop gap.
10:21 |
Comment From MikeFernando Tatis is basically a must follow on twitter at this point, no?
10:21 |
Eno Sarris: he’s pretty funny
10:21 |
Comment From GuestGarza would be good for Giants, I think
10:21 |
Comment From Tyrion LannisterPeavy for the Giants would make sense, too.
10:21 |
Eno Sarris: Whoever wants less. I’d guess it’d be hard to trade with Tyrion.
10:21 |
Comment From saskatunesDoes the fact that Smyly is still in relief speak volumes about the Tigers’ ability to stay healthy?
10:21 |
Comment From ZackYour thoughts on the explosion of craft brews in cans?
10:22 |
Eno Sarris: I hate the feeling, but cans keep the light out and all air in, so I like the beer coming out. Just pour it in a glass and all is well.
10:22 |
Comment From GregThe White Sox are talking about giving Beckham playing time at SS. Is he a potential sleeper if he gets SS eligibility?
10:22 |
Eno Sarris: A former bad 2B is going to unseat a good defensive SS? I doubt it.
10:22 |
Comment From WobblesEno! what’d you make of Weaver’s start? 87-88mph in the first, 85 late, but still the same awesome results.
10:23 |
Eno Sarris: I wouldn’t trade for him. Don’t like those velocity numbers, feel like some away games will go badly.
10:23 |
Comment From Really honey, it tastes like Pina ColadaEver try Suppenkuche in Hayes Valley?
10:23 |
Eno Sarris: yes. I like their spaetzle!
10:23 |
Comment From DCEno FYI – Zimmerman’s K rate is not good YTD and never has been. Corbin clearly has a brighter K/9 projectio ROS.
10:24 |
Eno Sarris: Zimm has found a way to stymie me. You’re right if I said that Zimm has better K rate, I was wrong. But I think Corbin’s K rate could come down some, his BABIP embiggen, and Zimm has been steady eddie for a while now.
10:24 |
Comment From KodySo is Pestano not the Indians’ guy after this year? Heard a lot of talk about Cody Allen, but didn’t even think he was on the radar until this year.
10:24 |
Eno Sarris: Pestano’s velocity has dropped and he’s had elbow problems.
10:24 |
Comment From Mike FiersDude… what’s up?

Comment From DjangoAre you still down on Matt Holliday?
10:27 |
Eno Sarris: In a keeper league, yes. Old. Wheels gonna go. Hammy strains and the like.
10:27 |
Comment From GregCorey Kluber has looked really good in his last few starts – any thoughts?
10:27 |
Eno Sarris: Been better than I thought. LIke him in deep leagues.
10:28 |
Comment From GregTyler Chatwood’s swinging strikes are up and his batted ball profile is encouraging for a guy pitching in Coors – are you buying him as a decent fantasy option ROS or is this just a hot streak?
10:28 |
Eno Sarris: Only in the deepest of leagues. He can get GBs and used to have velo. Does he now? Need to check. Also, secondary stuff?
10:28 |
Comment From TonyYour article on McLouth mentioned that you were buying his new contact rate – what kind of hitter does that make him – something like .280/.360/.420?
10:28 |
Eno Sarris: yeah, I think he can manage .275+.
10:29 |
Comment From GuestYou do have to overpay. It happens. Early in the year, I was going after Kennedy (what a mistake) and I had to give up Iwakuma (who I thought was going to regress alot) and Holland (who has stuggled in TX in the summer in his career). That trade keeps me up at night, still…

Comment From The other KyleWith Fujikawa done for the year and Gregg being Gregg, which Cub finishes the season with the most saves?
10:30 |
Eno Sarris: Gregg. Nobody in that pen.
10:31 |
Comment From juan pierres mustacheeveryone suspects the 2:1 and seems to avoid it now. i think the new inefficiency is to go the other way and go 1:2 where one of the two is a buy-low who could be as good as your 1 going forward and the second guy is either a sleeper throwin type or just someone to fill a hole on your team
10:31 |
Eno Sarris: In deeper leagues, I actually like one for twos.
10:31 |
Comment From ScottLet’s say you’re desperate for pitching and need one: Who do you trade for, Travis Wood or Hellickson (assuming you’re giving up almost nothing)?
10:31 |
Comment From MaxamuzFUN FACT: Juan Pierre last 7 days (3 for 24 .125 BA) with 0 HRs 1 RBI) WHO’S THE JOKE NOW!

10:32 |

10:33 |
Comment From Matt BerningerThe National! Don’t Swallow the Cap. Love it. Still Riding Corbin, been my “ace” in a 10 tm NL with Lincecum being…himself. Package him and Marte for Hamels?
10:33 |
Eno Sarris: Lincecum and Marte for Hamels? That I might do. I’m not sure how much more you have to add to Marte to get Hamels in an NL-only league. Even at .275, 15/30 plays real nice.

10:34 |
Comment From JasonWhen do you start looking to trade closers that you think will get dealt at the deadline?
10:34 |
Eno Sarris: I’m always looking to trade my closers because I always think I can get more off the wire.
10:34 |
Comment From JALAfter Estrada’s performance against Minny last night I am just befuddled…I am trying to hold onto him (let him go in one league already). Velocity down, giving up way too many homers, and giving up way too many two strike hits. Thoughts on RoS? Do I cut him loose? Appreciate the answers, as always.
10:35 |
Eno Sarris: He’s always going to give up too many HRs. Just what he does. Velocity down is worrisome.
10:35 |
Comment From MikeIs Niese actually bouncing back or should I hope he has a solid @MIA this weekend and try to sell him as bouncing back?

10:35 |

Eno Sarris: should change. You still have preseason projections though.
10:36 |
Comment From GoatHey Eno! on Puig/Pederson, If Kemp’s MRI on his hammy goes badly doesm’t Pederson has a chance at the majors after all, even with Ethier around?
10:36 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah but for how long.
10:36 |
Comment From SpencerDid you know the maximum height for a golf ball is the same whether it is hit with a 3 iron or a wedge? Every club produces the exact same maximum height.
10:36 |
Eno Sarris: mind actually blown.
10:36 |
Comment From Tomwhats wrong with grienke, he still hurt? Or just rust from not having pitched for awhile?
10:37 |
Eno Sarris: He came back fast. I think he’ll be fine.
10:37 |
Comment From JordanI can’t get any trades through in one of my leagues but I think the dollar award for beating me that the commish offered to the rest of league might have something to do with it. Combine that with the fact that most of them ask the commish if it is a good trade first.
10:37 |
Eno Sarris: hold on that’s the definition of collusion.
10:37 |
Comment From Dancing HomerCespedes is going to have a MONSTER 2nd half right? His .286 OBP in my OBP league isn’t going to stay that way, right? Was I crazy to think he was a borderline top tier OF before the auction? ACK.
10:37 |
Eno Sarris: Same swSTR as last year, way big K%. We’re collecting data still on him.
10:38 |
Comment From bleepbloopHad some Mikkeler Black Hole Stout this weekend. Really interesting fruity (citrus?) chocolatey stoutey stout. Have you had it? thoughts?
10:38 |
Eno Sarris: No but I had their Mexas Ranger and they do interesting things with their stouts. (that one was chili pepper choc)
10:38 |
Comment From bleepbloopoh and what are the details on the beergraphs meetup?
10:38 |
Eno Sarris: Public House, SF, June 7, 5-9 or so. Giants away game.
10:39 |
Comment From Re. German KidsIf kids in Germany are drinking wine, you think the problem is them diluting it?
10:39 |
Eno Sarris: eh I meant like teenagers. it’s Europe!
10:39 |
Comment From Maxamuz
Lets see Juan Pierre accomplish that.
10:39 |
Comment From PopVictory Summer Ale is my favorite summer beer. Watermelon of High Water is good too, but only one or 2 a stiing
10:40 |
Comment From Joe Ji like alt-j better than the national
10:40 |
Comment From SammyYou guys sound like you have a lot of fun on the Sleeper and the Bust. Looking forward to today’s episode. Josh Johnson is free agent. I read that scouts at his first outing said he would have gotten hit hard in MLB. If I pick him up I’d lose the roster spot I use for streaming and I need streaming to have even a shot at winning K’s and W’s in my H2H 5×5 league. Is he worth the risk?
10:40 |
Eno Sarris: Yes worth risk. But pick him up like a streamer for his first start.
10:41 |
Comment From JTIs Marcum ownable?
10:41 |
Comment From Erasmo RamirezMy tricep is feeling just fine, thank you.
10:41 |
Eno Sarris: One start, five innings. We’ll see.
10:41 |
Comment From JonnyDAll time favorite pitch from what pitcher?
10:42 |
Eno Sarris: Dickey’s Knuckler, Kimbrel’s power curve, Smoltz slider.
10:42 |
Comment From Hoola Hoop PeteIs Alex Gordon enough of an upgrade over Nate McClouth that I should trade my best prospects Soler, M. Adams, and Lucas Giolito as well as Sal Perez for him?
10:42 |
Comment From DallasTrade something minor for RUT RUT? Joyce, S Smith? I still believe.
10:42 |
Eno Sarris: a platoon OF bat doesn’t seem like a high cost.
10:42 |
Comment From JTSo’s I just traded FOR Fransisco Liriano. Have you ever felt DIRTY trading for a guy? (This only cost me Rickie Weeks, and I got prospects, but still. What is this, 2006?)
10:42 |
Eno Sarris: yes I’ve felt dirty trading for guys. I love Liriano!
10:43 |
Comment From RazorBeergraphs chats on Fridays? Please and thank you.
10:43 |
Eno Sarris: This could actually be a thing. Need my co-founder to code us up a chat box though.
10:43 |
Comment From RichieHave you had any Texas craft beers you can reccomend? Just getting into this and need some guidance. I’m already awesome at fantasy so…..
10:43 |
Eno Sarris: Oh oh I just remembered my favorite Texas crafts: Still Water. Lots of saisons, but just great beers.
10:44 |
Comment From Rubby of the RoseThe National isn’t mellow. So many songs are instrumentally epic.
10:44 |
Comment From DavidIn Indie Rock hell, the triumvirate of The National, Spoon, and the Black Keys are on infinite loop.
10:44 |
Eno Sarris: just had to post those because they showed up right after each other in the stream
10:44 |
Comment From Rubby of the Rose21st Amendment’s Saison is mediocre. What’s it called? It has the artwork of a fat beer drinker as George Washington crossing the Deleware.
10:44 |
Eno Sarris: Yeah I actually think 21A is over-rated in general. Don’t get it. Watermelon is okay. their Gigantes IPA is their best IPA.
10:45 |
Comment From T-boneHow much of an upgrade is $12Desmond over $6Drew in Otto Pts? (Trading from SP/RP depth and going for it this year)
10:45 |
Eno Sarris: a big upgrade. even with the low OBP. he does enough across the board.
10:45 |
Comment From dudeWhat do you guys do at these fangraphs meetups? It potentially could sound like something out of arrested development.
10:45 |
Eno Sarris: It’s basically an informal Q&A. We’ll have brewers and baseball writers and we’ll be talking about baseball, beers and brewing.
10:46 |
Comment From JesseFLOWER POWER WAS DELICIOUS! 64 OZ Growler to the FACE
10:46 |
Comment From JordanIf Yelich gets called up, will that impact Rug Ragts ABs? Would it be smart to just drop Rug Rat for him when he’s called up if I can?
10:46 |
Eno Sarris: There’s room in that OF for both, but it’s not like they’ve been playing Ruggiano every day or anything.
10:46 |
Comment From dudeTrying to find a take for Morrow. I think it is wishful thinking that this guy accepts Morrow for Garza? I even considered Milone…at least I can trust his home starts.
10:47 |
Eno Sarris: I would make those moves. Good luck.
10:47 |
Comment From AdamPeralta or McGee first shot at closer?
10:47 |
Eno Sarris: Peralta got the first shot. McGee will get the next IMO.
10:47 |
Comment From Rubby of the RoseDo you ever give lectures for saber or beergraphs? And can I hire you to do so next time you’re around Brooklyn?
10:48 |
Eno Sarris: You can ‘hire’ me by buying me a beer at the next meetup. Maybe we’ll do the FG meetup in brooklyn! Bierkraft? It can get a bit small…
10:48 |
Comment From GarethSo Drop Street? No DL in my league.
10:48 |
Eno Sarris: No no, he’s pitching now.

With a phone full of pictures of pitchers' fingers, strange beers, and his two toddler sons, Eno Sarris can be found at the ballpark or a brewery most days. Read him here, writing about the A's or Giants at The Athletic, or about beer at October. Follow him on Twitter @enosarris if you can handle the sandwiches and inanity.
What would you say is the average amount of players kept in an ottoneu league? Also, is it ever okay to pretend kiss yourself in the mirror?
