Eno Sarris: Right now: Pestano/Smith/Allen. If Perez shoulder is an all-year thing, Allen moves to second and is next in line for closer role. Because he’s the long-term asset, and he has the most gas and strikeouts, which are best correlated with closer changes. Next year, Perez/Pestano/Allen if they all healthy. Or Pestano/Allen. But Pestano health isn’t great, so I like Allen some.

Eno Sarris: Trading is really hard right now in fantasy baseball. You guys have any suggestions on settings that would help trading happen? Trying to brainstorm this. My response has been to overpay for guys I like. Dunno if that’s a good idea, but my team has needs and everyone loves their own g-dang players, so you pretty much have to.

9:22	Eno Sarris: You gotta try. Probably won’t happen, but make it look like an overpay and it might work. Just make sure you get the best guy back. Even Fernandez/Cahill for Shields makes sense, given IP limits.

You can see how this Giants team will start to fall apart, since the minor leagues are pretty much Crick, maybe Brown and nothing else.

I have depth at pitching, but does it make sense to swap Matt Moore, Elvis Andrus and Alex Gordon for Giancarlo Stanton and Starlin Castro? Or is there too much risk there?

9:41	Eno Sarris: Stanton is still the best player in the deal. Castro/Gordon/Moore in a scrum, but a .290/10/25 Castro beats out a .280/20/10 Gordon in the OF and a true talent higher-ERA Moore. It’s risky as all get-out though. Ask for a sleeper pitcher back to even it up.

9:44	Eno Sarris: Wheeler, Syndergaard and Montero are pretty awesome. Gausman Bundy is a good one-two if you still count him. Red Sox with Webster and Rubby are sitting pretty. Hultzen/Walker? yeah, actually I think it looks good for the Mets in this group.

Trades in my leagues seem to be either 1) teams have massive positional needs and find a team with depth at that position but a need at another or 2) one team is willing to buy low on someone like BJ, Morrow, Heyward, Lawrie, etc. where the other team has written the guy off.

9:54	Comment From Mike I think the biggest problem is that nobody likes to trade for depth and there are a bunch of people out there who make the “Two B’s for an A” type deal. You really do have to overpay.
