2) Percent chance he stays in rotation till at least 9/1? He has 48 innings in right now, he pitched 104 in 2012. 134-48=86. 86/6 (inning/start) = 14 starts. 14 * 5 = 70 games. I think he makes it easily if he is their 5th starter coming out of the break, right?
3) Him or Wheeler ROS from time CM comes up if I need K’s and W’s?

That makes me think that Wacha is next in line, and I’d want Wheeler, if only as upside play on bench. (not starting him until I see the tipping end, and a nice two- or three-walk game.

Brown is good, but I think more of a true talent .275/25/5 guy, Marte and Jennings have more speed. Case to be made for Marte over Jennings. Maybe I’d swithc those.

Pitch tipping aside, I felt like every time he got to two strikes on a hitter, they called for breaking pitches that he couldn’t locate and the Sox wouldn’t swing at. Why not let him work the fastball when it’s on and pick the spots for breaking pitches?

Eno Sarris: I think the Mets — perhaps rightfully — sometimes focus on development at the big league level too. Think of Harvey and his changeup. They kept calling for him to throw it more until they were shouted down and his performance made it obvious he was fine with a show-me/occasional change. Wheeler needs to show more until they stop screwing with him.

9:49	Eno Sarris: 24.6% is a big number. That’s the one that bothers me. His swSTR was too high for his K% last year. It’s the one thing that bothers me about Puig too. But Puig is younger, so more likely to improve K%/swSTR, and also I believe he’ll steal more because of his age.
