Hello Eno

12:06
Eno Sarris: Let’s just start this off with a bang, eh.

12:06
Comment From KB
Kang vs. Hendricks or Desmond vs. Cosart for today?

12:06
Eno Sarris: bang the Kang

12:07
Comment From I am but a lowly monkey
What about Toronto makes it such a good homer park?

12:07
Eno Sarris: It’s not temperature but maybe it’s wind? https://fastballs.wordpress…

12:07
Comment From Reginald Denton III
What kind of contract does Shark get this offseason?

12:07
Eno Sarris: A 2/30 make good? The second year is for the team to assume the risk

12:07
Comment From Minty
You seem to love Odor. Deep keeper with contracts where I have Correa. Do I keep 1, both, or neither or Odor and Baez? My thinking is that they’re cheap enough that I can spend more on high end talent.

12:08
Eno Sarris: I keep Odor over Baez if you have to make a choice.

12:08
Comment From adam
if all the coaches from each league played a competitive game which squad would win and why.

12:09
Eno Sarris: I think youth matters here, and Ausmus and Hinch is a decent duo. Counsell, Hale and Fredi are young but not as good. Plus, Clint Hurdle would have to DH and have a pinch-runner probably.

12:10
Comment From Kiko
Which GM position would you want to be in most and why? how to you rank the openings. Are Red Sox obvious #1?

12:10
Eno Sarris: Yeah I want Sox number one. I do like a lot about the Phillies’ youngsters, though, and that’s a nice market, a good park, and an easier league.

12:10
Comment From Art Vandelay
On a scale of one-to-erotic fanfiction, how much do you love Joey Votto after that interview?

12:11
Eno Sarris: It’s ridiculous. I basically bounced my way over to him when I saw he was available — he’s my favorite interview, bar none — and then he said “you’ve got a little swagger, I like it” and I laughed, claimed it was because he was on my home turf, but it was because it was him.

12:12
Comment From Art Vandelay
I was instantly dismissive of Prarie Bomb! but my brother-in-law and I split one last week and wow. The depth of flavor in it was wild: chocolate/coffee to vanilla and then kissed with just a hint of spice, with absolutely zero bitterness. Easily worth the ten bucks or whatever it cost for a bottle.

12:12
Eno Sarris: It’s so good. I don’t like chile in my beers unless it’s the BOMB.

12:13
Comment From cock of da walk

12:13
Eno Sarris: Sunday, my interview with Carlos hits ESPN before that game.

12:13
Comment From Jeremy Koo
Since you talk about batting stances in “The Catcher Is Watching You”, I wanted to ask you about Brett Lawrie. It seems like he stands really far from the plate. Have you ever asked him why?

12:14
Eno Sarris: Thanks for a topic. I do want to talk to him, he’s a hilarious motormouth and such a marina bro with like a 14-pack, but he’s not stupid, and has some interesting ideas about baseball.

12:14
Comment From Miketron
So its OK to have a keg at a 1-year old’s birthday party, right? Its mainly a party for the parents anyways…

12:14
Eno Sarris: Yah we did, we also bought little two-inch tall red cups for the babies, which they mostly just chewed on.

12:14
Comment From Houzer
Can you rank the top 3 starts for this week? Need low ERA, low WHIP, good K/9

Matz v NYY
Thor v NYY

Wacha v Cubs

12:15
Eno Sarris: Wacha Matz Thor

12:16
Comment From I am but a lowly monkey
What if Colorado installed a crappy batters eye in order to decrease offense?

12:16
Eno Sarris: Batters really care about how easy it is to see, as you can see from my piece on SF’s secret home field advantage gained from having reflective bleacher seats in center field. I’d honestly try anything if I was there, because obviously it’s in everyone’s heads, especially the pitchers.

12:16
Comment From Spacey Felix!
So, howd you like spacecdust? Was it everything you’ve always dreamed of? What else do Enos dream of?

12:18
Eno Sarris: I really liked it. What do I dream of? The other day I dreamt I saw Kobe Bryant hit a reporter, and he gave me an exclusive interview to try and spin the thing before I reported it, and it turned into a nightmare because I screwed up the interview with bad questions. Literally woke up sweating saying… I SCREWED UP THE INTERVIEW

12:18
Comment From JT Smooth
Is it weird that I get a little emotional when I watch Miguel Sano hit? Been following the dude for years and it just makes me so damn happy to watch him succeed

12:18
Eno Sarris: He’s also full of joy, which is great.

12:18
Comment From Lucky Lager Rules
Rank for future. BAT ONLY: Richie Shaffer, Eddie Rosario, Odubel Herrera, Pete O’Brien, Aaron Altherr, Preston Tucker.

12:19
Eno Sarris: Woof if you ask me. Shaffer Tucker O’Brien but where’s POB going to play.

12:19
Comment From Bill
Should teams consider starting their young AA/AAA premier pitching talent’s season in a more staggered way? If team is in it, great, they can avoid super-2, and have innings in the tank for sept/oct. IF not, and guy is short innings, can go to AFL. (think about if matz didnt get hurt, he used to many innings at AAA!)

12:20
Eno Sarris: I think you have to put the development of the pitcher first in your mind because if you were the Mets, you would have planned for 2017 instead of this year. I see the staggering is sort of a backup plan, but still. Develop the pitcher.

12:20
Comment From Reginald Denton III
Harper’s the MVP now, right? Who still has a chance to beat him?

12:21
Eno Sarris: Rizzo’s closest despite WAR totals, but not close enough.

12:21
Comment From Ricks
Does yesterday change the conversation around AL Cy Young? Keuchel looked pretty bad and Price had another strong outing.

12:21
Eno Sarris: Cumulative should count more than recent, in my book. We’ll see what the voters do.

12:21
Comment From Neal
Does being moved to the bullpen hurt Drew Hutchison’s Cy Young chances? He’s still got that outstanding W-L record!!!

12:21
Comment From Caw
Also how weird is it that we could see both cy young winners be free agents this winter?

Comment From Johnny5Alive
is it fair, to you, that cespedes cant be considered for an MVP because he switched leagues… he it top 4 in WAR

12:23
Eno Sarris: No. I think it’s silly. Do we not have interleague games every day on the schedule.

12:23
Comment From Ryan
If, by quirk of fate, you just happened to have friends sending you Pliny, Heady, and Sip of Sunshine all within the same week, would you blow your own mind by having them all in one night? Or do you believe in diminishing returns and spread them out?

12:23
Eno Sarris: I think I’d be really tempted to blind test and write it up for BG.

12:23
Comment From MSW
Would you give deGrom a rest down the stretch? Seems like he’s hitting a wall, and the team goes nowhere in october without him dealing.

12:23
Eno Sarris: They are planning to skip him at least once.

12:23
Comment From Mike
Wouldn’t Samardzija be better taking the QO than a 2/30 offer?

12:24
Eno Sarris: Might depend on the park that’s offering the deal. If the NL and a nice home park comes calling…

12:24
Comment From Dr. Hoist
Picked up Severino but he plays Toronto next week, do I cut him? It’s head to head playoffs and I may need the stream spot.

12:24
Eno Sarris: Yeah I don’t think I can start anyone against Toronto at this point.

12:24

12:33
Eno Sarris: Rhymes with bong I think

12:33
Comment From Snarfle
You’re at an “experiential art gallery” where only a few people can go in at a time. You don’t exactly know what to expect, but your friend, who volunteered at this thing, says it’s really cool. There’s one other person waiting. You make small talk, and then realize you are pretty sure that person is Paul Simon! What do you do?

12:33
Eno Sarris: Ask him about bongos.

12:33
Comment From Slew(Seattle)
Lindor or Correa?

12:33
Eno Sarris: Correa. I think Lindor way closer to peak than Correa.

Comment From Reginald Denton III
Watch out, the Nats have won 4 in a row. Only 7.5 behind the Mets.

12:34
Eno Sarris: BREAK UP THE NATS

12:34
Comment From Randy Savage
How much would you sell 10% of all future earning for?

12:35
Eno Sarris: $1 mill for sure. I mean, I have plans for a few books, but I’d have to get REALLY lucky to make $10 mill on them.

12:35
Comment From Dr. Hoist
Can you rank Axford, Doolittle, Smith and Rondon for ROS. Rondon has a doubleheader next Monday which could be big.

12:35
Eno Sarris: Rondon, Doolittle

12:35
Comment From Germania
Altuve, Arenado, Machado, Russell, Stanton, Pederson, Polanco, Cole, and Urias are sure fire keepers for me. That’s 9. I need 3 more. Help me choose! Mesoraco, Belt, Conforto, Grichuck, Nola, Kennedy, Berrios, Gausman, Bundy, Ryu. PRETTY PLEASE

12:35
Comment From Germania
Conforto’s stats assuming a full healthy season next year?

12:37
Eno Sarris: I’m sold on Conforto. .280/.350/.480+ I think is a good slash. That looks like 20-25 homers. No steals. Still, that’s awesome. So I keep him in the question above. If OBP, I think Belt is in, too. I don’t think I need any of the pitchers over Mesoraco, who might be a C-eligilble OF, but if it was one… Berrios?

12:38
Comment From Dr. Hoist
Looking ahead Erv at home against Cleveland or Heston on the road against San Diego next Tuesday?

12:38
Eno Sarris: I like em both. I’ll take Erv though.

12:38
Comment From Guest
There’s no reason cespedes can’t be considered, is there? Bigger problem he’s got is that Harper’s a shoo-in; if he was 2013 Mike Trout switching leagues mid-season I don’t think he’d be barred from getting MVP votes.

12:39
Eno Sarris: When players switch leagues, their stats start over, is my understanding. At least they do in a lot of places that track these things. People talking about Yoenis having to take zeroes for those games he played in AL so yeah

12:39
Comment From Archie
Anything to make out of Carrasco’s struggles with CWS this year or just SSS? Starting him this weekend?

12:39
Eno Sarris: I don’t ever look at player v team stats.

12:39
Comment From Bork
It’s said every year, but really, this has gotta be the year someone takes a QO, right?

12:39
Eno Sarris: If the White Sox offer, you may have Shark as the first.

12:40

How much would Correa’s future value change if you knew he was going to have to move to 3B in 2-3 years?

12:40

Comment From FireDrayton
Can you talk Astros fans off the ledge? Or should we just go ahead and jump?

12:41
Eno Sarris: I’d take your rotation 1-5.

12:42
Comment From Rick
How much do you like Soler to progress with HR power next year? I’m in an OBP dynasty league and thinking of targeting him as an offseason acquisition …

12:43
Eno Sarris: He’s got light tower power. His problem this year was with the swing/don’t swing decision, IMO, and he’s fixed that before in the minors. I’ll be trying to get shares of him in all my keeper leagues. I’d have to be conservative and project him for 20ish, but a huge explosion wouldn’t surprise me at all.

12:43
Comment From The Boat
Nats will be better in 2016, right? Span, Desmond and Fister have all been zeros this year, and losing J-Zim isn’t the end of the world.

12:43
Eno Sarris: And I think they’d make changes at key managerial positions, add some talent, and have the best or second best minor league pitcher in the wings.

12:44
Comment From Jack Glasscocks Cup
Boo. How about real life for the Correa question?

12:46
Eno Sarris: Yeah that would change things. But after interviewing him… He *really* wants to stick at the position, said that two or three times to me, tailored his workout and eating regimen to staying at the position. Still, his bat is so good, Votto was talking about how great his swing is… Machado has been great at third, I think Correa can be too.

12:46
Comment From Robbie Ray
Eno rhymes with dung!

12:46
Eno Sarris: Listen

12:46
Comment From John
Pirates fan here, local announcers are consistently Jung Ho “Gung”, rhymes with dung.

12:46
Comment From Jason
What do you think will happen to ballpark beer offerings in light of the Anheuser-Busch InBev & SABMIller merger?

12:47

12:47

Screw Coghlan. He stole the ROY from Cutch and now he probably just ended Kang’s season. I hope Caminero blasts him in the back with a fastball

Thoughts on Schwarber next season? Any reason to think he may fall off a cliff into a .220 hitting all power C eligible option?

12:51
Eno Sarris: I think the worst case is much more like .240/.250

12:51
Comment From JR
Given the similarities between the sinkers of Britton and Dyson (at least the results) mentioned in your article on the Bal bullpen, do you expect Dyson to become a stud reliever? What roles do you think the Tex relievers (Tolleson, Dyson, Diekman, Kela) fill next year in terms of saves and holds. It’s an underrated bullpen for next year in my opinion.

12:52
Eno Sarris: I think that bullpen got great in Texas, actually, and I think it’s a big part of why they better than projections. I think Kela is the future closer though. Something about his stuff.

12:52
Comment From Enos Mom
actually that joke about your mom being upset about bongs probably isn’t even applicable given that she named you after Brian Eno. Something tells me she wouldn’t be hung up on stuff like that.

Pretty ridiculous how there’ve been so many rookies killing it this year and no busts or even long adjustment periods – are teams better now at identifying guys who won’t bust in the bigs?

12:57
Eno Sarris: Hey now, Javier Baez, Yasmany Tomas, Jorge Soler, Rusney Castillo, whoever is playing second for the White Sox these days…, Matt Boyd, Mike Foltyasfwearwe, Aaron Sanchez… it’s still happening.

I do think we need to re-run some of the research we did on this, though. It at least seams like they messing up less often.

12:57
Comment From JR
What percentage of players that you talk to know who you are now? Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

12:57
Eno Sarris: Maybe 20% now, and it’s usually good.

This is Mike Trout’s most disappointing full season to date. He has, as of today, the same WAR on the season as Derek Jeter’s best season. There is no question because Mike Trout don’t need no stinkin question.

12:58
Comment From Aaron
Know any good breweries in Central Ohio?

12:58
Eno Sarris: Man I don’t know what’s Central or not. I had some GREAT beers from Jackie O’s Pub, also love Fat Head’s and Hoppin Frog. Columbus and Great Lakes are really good too. Underrated beer region.

How about Rendon finally showing the talent that made him a top 5 2b last year. Do you think, assuming he has a healthy-ish season, Rendon can be a top 5 2b next year?

12:59

Will Blake Snell’s surprise award vault him into the majors for a celebratory start this week or will his reward be “see you in June, pal”?

1:01
Eno Sarris: I think he has the innings to have one more start, and they could take a look. Pitchers’ arb clocks way easier to manipulate, too.

1:01
Comment From Rick
Is Carlos Rondon the kind of SP who is just going to “click” when it comes to control? Cause once he has control of the FB and the secondary stuff he’s going to be filthy.

1:01
Eno Sarris: Yes. The stuff is filthy and I think sequencing will help him with control, too.

1:02
Comment From Brad
OBP 14 team roto. I’m at .3396 to .3395 in obp cat. I’m tied overall in league. Cervelli worth a 2 week flier and bench albert? I’m up 7 rbi over next guy but I think I can hold him off without albert. Thanks.

1:02
Eno Sarris: Wow, give it a shot. Cervelli RoS projected OBP > almost 40 points over Pujols’!

1:03
Comment From The Boat
Given the upside, pretty much everyone should be in on Marcell Ozuna this winter, right?

1:03
Eno Sarris: Did he say they were selling him? Cause yeah I want him. Could be backup plan for Mets.

1:03
Comment From Bork
On SP who are going to “click”, Aaron Sanchez another or am I just being way too optimistic?

1:03
Eno Sarris: No. No changeup, not even getting whiffs in bullpen with two pitches.

Isn’t the Red Sox job a lot like CHC? Hoyer gets almost no credit playing second fiddle to Theo.

1:07
Eno Sarris: Yeah I think you get more love if you turn around Philly. MacPhail more of a backseat guy, at least in terms of reputation?

1:08
Comment From MSW
Help me Eno-stradamus. I need one more start this week, do I go with Stroman v Boston or Leake v Arizona? h2h points, in the playoffs!

1:08

1:08
Comment From Bork
On a scale of one-to-Jose Reyes, how depressed will Mets fan’s be if they don’t sign Cespedes?

1:08
Eno Sarris: Full Jose.

1:08
Comment From Bruce
Whos brilliant idea was it for the Mets to rework the Cespedes contract terms. At least before they had an excuse not to sign him. Now they either sign a horrible contract And lose a pick or look cheap for not.

1:08
Eno Sarris: Wait I don’t think they reworked them, I think that was the deal all along. That’s why he was hot-potatoed.

1:09
Comment From Jared
In that Manager Game, who would pitch!?!?

1:09
Eno Sarris: Yeah that got tons of catchers. Whichever one had the best arm back there I guess.

1:09
Comment From Bruce
Have you ever looked into or seen a study- do 8th inning guys get more or less decisions than closers? Im desperate for wins and need every advantage I can get.

1:09
Eno Sarris: It’s my impression that closer use is more regular and more often in games the team is winning but I have not seen a study.

1:09
Comment From Bill
Mookie also has the highest zone%. why is this happening?!?

1:10
Eno Sarris: if you faced with a guy that has excellent plate discipline and you don’t think he has great power, you throw it in the zone.

Kris Bryant is awesome. He is also on pace for 200+ strikeouts. Should we be worried?

1:16
Eno Sarris: Only from a fantasy / batting average standpoint.

1:16
Comment From Chris
What are your thoughts on Byron Buxton’s major league debut so far? Looks nothing like the hitter that tore up the minors.

1:16
Eno Sarris: At least the D and speed are there. He may be a 5/25 guy true talent when it comes to BB/K, but I think a bit more power is coming.

1:17
Comment From Snarfle
Pretty sure 8th inning guys get more decisions than closers. On a per-inning basis, the good ones are comparable to most starters, win-wise. Nothing makes me happier than a 1 inning, 1K, 0R, 1W performance. So silly. So good.

1:17
Comment From Ryan
Everyone loves Theo, but as a Cubs fan watching our bullpen run Fernando Rodney out as the 3rd(?) choice reliever in a September playoff race, I can’t help but think Theo failed us here. He pitched the 10th yesterday vs. PIT!!!

1:18
Eno Sarris: didn’t want to spend to get a reliever on trade market, but look at the Rangers, they didn’t spend a ton on those relievers and they got some good ones.

1:18
Comment From anon
Will the baseball wide increase strikeout rates decrease anytime soon or is this the new reality that will stick around for awhile? Based on article yesterday about HR% is about same as during PED era

1:18
Eno Sarris: Might actually take some work on the strike zone.

1:18
Comment From Ol Sea Capn
Action film called Come Backer staring Eno and Julio Franco who play mercenaries broken out of jail by the government to run one last score against the Mexican cartels and they pose as ball players who join the Mexican league as their cover. Box Office gold.

1:18
Eno Sarris: yes. I love Julio Franco so much.

1:19
Eno Sarris: That bat waggle, he played till he was 50, came up as like a shortstop or something ridiculous. Love him.

1:19
Comment From Eddie Brock
Starting McCullers tonight?

1:19
Eno Sarris: yes

1:19

Hey Eno, If you were playing the Mets GM, what kinda of package would you try to get for Harvey?

1:19
Eno Sarris: Puig

1:19
Comment From "Reggae" Robbie Ray
I’ve changed my name Eno, now will you like me?

1:19
Eno Sarris: no

1:20
Comment From anon
Did you read the article in community about SABR being front office/management point of view and it has done nothing to help players become better? Thoughts?

1:21
Eno Sarris: Just mad he didn’t name drop me! I’ve spent all year going from one to the other. There’s some saber straw man in that piece that people aren’t talking about much, but it was a decent piece. I just talked to Votto about using the coaches as a conduit to bring best practices from the players to the front office.

1:21
Comment From Snarfle
How likely is it that the Mets trade Harvey? I feel like it went from thing outsiders bandied about to forgone conclusion, and I don’t know if I missed something or if it’s just story momentum.

1:21
Eno Sarris: Story momentum if you ask me. They trade Fulmer types, not Thor types.

1:21
Comment From Ol Sea Capn
Follow up.. Julio Franco is nearing all time hits leader in professional baseball if various count. Will you sign my petition to get him a special mention at HOF?

1:21
Eno Sarris: Yes.

1:22
Comment From Mr. GM
Hypothetical Trade: IRL, Addison Russell for Noah Syndegaard. Which player worth more long-term?

1:22
Eno Sarris: I want Russell, but I also wouldn’t play Wilmer Flores at short, ever.

1:22
Comment From Tony
Polanco or Rusney in a dynasty league?? Thanks

1:22
Eno Sarris: Polanco for me. Younger, has shown more.

1:22
Comment From bleepbloop
I somehow found myself .5 pts behind 1st place in the first year of a salary cap dynasty league. Need to replace Nori Aoki (DL please?) in RF/LF, will Colabello get enough ABs to help me gain some pts in RBI, SB, AVG and SLG?

1:23
Eno Sarris: Yeah I think Colabello is a decent add. Even if regression coming.

Please rank these 1B for 2016: Hanley, Duda, Moreland, Santana.

What does the Dodger OF look like next year? Does Pederson start in CF?

1:24
Eno Sarris: Yes. The rest? Might depend on how the postseason works out.

1:24
Comment From Dr. Hoist
I have Medlen in a dynasty league where he will be dirt cheap to keep. But playoffs start next week and he pitches this Sunday which means nothing to me. Is it worth holding on?

1:25
Eno Sarris: You’re going to have to lose a guy like that to have flexibility in an H2H league. It’ll be okay, even if he’s good, how many innings will he have.

1:25
Comment From The Boat
Are Enrique Hernandez and Jose Peraza the same player, and if so, will one be traded?

1:26
Eno Sarris: Hernandez has more power, IMO. And Peraza tons of options. People will be traded, but I bet those stick around.

1:26
Comment From Ryan
Catch any of Votto’s 10 min speech about the ejection last week?

1:26
Eno Sarris: Some. But this is what he told me after we talked about what he thinks about at the plate “It’s a lot. Sometimes I have to call time to think it through.”

1:27
Comment From BB
Should Rangers accelerate the future and start Deshields in Left, Brinson in Center, and Mazara in Right for 2016? Or stick with pricey vets like Hamilton and Choo?

1:27
Eno Sarris: Choo going to have a job. Brinson made a big adjustment but will have to adjust to bigs, too. I don’t think you want to count on three rookies if you think you will be compeititive.

1:28
Comment From JB
Final keeper spot between Yelich and Gomez. Already have Betts, Soler, Stanton in OF. Your thoughts? Thanks Eno!

1:28
Eno Sarris: Still Gomez.

1:28
Comment From Johnny5Alive
i think, resign cespedes, trade harvey for boegarts, move flores to 2b full time that woudl be a pretty good team, no?

1:28
Eno Sarris: I like most of it, but I’m not sure Cespedes has really changed, and I think he might be an overpay. Most FAs are overpays, but maybe worse than most. Depends on what he wants.

1:28
Comment From Andy5
So what the heck happened to Andrew Cashner this year? Just an off-year? Is there hope for a bounce-back next year? This guy just baffled me with his season.

1:29
Eno Sarris: I think it’s possible I/we overrated his secondary stuff. He’s got a good fastball but everyone’s sitting on it because he doesn’t throw the other stuff enough. That’s my theory.

1:29
Comment From JR
What do you think of Robert Stephenson’s stuff? Will he be an ace?

1:29
Eno Sarris: I’m worried. Command AND changeup issues is quite the duo to overcome.

1:30
Comment From Andrew
Should I be worried about deGrom? He hasn’t looked sharp in 5 starts

1:30
Eno Sarris: I’m not super worried.

1:30
Comment From JB
Do you think Carson Smith gets closer role back in Seattle next season?

1:30
Eno Sarris: I’d like to know how healthy he is. That job is wide open again next year.

1:31
Comment From Snarfle
Jaime Garcia…is tired? Just a couple of rando bad starts?

1:31
Eno Sarris: He told me the slider isn’t where he wants it to be and that’s his best non-fastball. I think he was coasting a bit at first, will adjust hopefully. He’s not a 1/2 but he’s a guy I like.

1:31
Comment From John
Schoop or Odor in a dynasty league ?

1:32
Eno Sarris: I’m going to take Odor, because of a more balanced package. HIs plate discipline a little better.

1:32
Comment From Jack Glasscocks Cup
True Fact: Francisco Lindor is 1 month older than Buxton and 2 months older than Russell. He’s also 1.5-2 years younger than Bryant. C’mon man, show the Mighty Truffle some love.

1:32
Eno Sarris: I like him! I like his glove! I’m only a bit worried he’s over his head with the bat right now.

1:32
Comment From Zonk
What current player do you think is most likely to be a future GM or Manager?

1:33
Eno Sarris: Votto will make too much money to do it. Sam Fuld is Smart and won’t have made that much money. I could see FO for him. Players like him even as they know he knows about stats, which is a good combo.

1:33
Comment From 3 in 5
salami and roast beef should NOT be on the same sammich…right???

1:33
Eno Sarris: does not compute

1:33
Comment From klof
Are you superstitious about fantasy team names? If I win my league it seems like I should stick with what got me there, but I have a really good new name ready to go. WHAT DO I DO

1:33
Eno Sarris: keep em moving. I only have kept names in dynasty leagues where I want the trophies to all have the same name on it.

1:34
Comment From Zonk
What do you project for Addison Russell?

1:35
Eno Sarris: That strikeout rate is going to improve, beyond projections IMO. I think he can get it down to 22-24%. With a 8-9% walk rate, and a .175 ISO at some point. We’re talking peak here, but .275/.330/.450 with 20 homers and great SS D. Super valuable. Take 10% off for rosy projections next year.

1:36
Comment From Caw
to find current players that are future managers: look at a list of backup catchers, sorted by wRC+ in reverse

1:36
Eno Sarris: Yeah because they know the game, are lifers, and need the money.

1:37
Eno Sarris: Love John!

Do you think Will Smith will become a closer at any point in his career?

1:38
Eno Sarris: Lefty with all those sliders? No I don’t think so, unless in short stints.

1:39
Comment From 3 in 5
Are you not answering my Hubbell/Mathewson question because you know nothing about their careers?

1:39
Eno Sarris: Yes. I’m not a huge history buff. I came to this country in 1985 and got really into baseball around 1986.

1:40
Eno Sarris: I could tell you things from their stat lines, but what good would that be.

1:40
Comment From David Price
Gut feeling what team am I pitching for next season?

1:41
Eno Sarris: Toronto? Seems like Dodgers/Cubs/Sox/Jays going to be in the market most for Greinke/Price.

Comment From Chad
When will JP Crawford be the starting SS for the Phillies? Next June?

1:41
Eno Sarris: 20 years old, in Double-A, maybe by the end of the year.

1:41
Comment From Zonk
Are the Cubs onto something with regard to developing defense in the minors? Russell, Bryant, Baez, and Schwarber have all been better than advertised defensively so far

1:42
Eno Sarris: Russell said all the right things to me in an interview at the AFL, so I think people just underrated him defensively. I’m still 50/50 on Bryant at third.

Opinion on Rogue Brewery in Oregon?

1:42

The Big Bull strikes again, how would you handle Pedro’s playing time down the stretch?

1:43
Eno Sarris: Why did they want to give him away so badly at the deadline? Seems like a perfect platoon first baseman.

Comment From Mike
Which pitcher does SF sign this offseason? Lots of money coming off the books, the emergence of Duffy and Panik, and hopefully health…

1:43
Eno Sarris: Seems like Leake. They might have more money, but the big namers have all said no to them for some reason.

1:44
Comment From Prince Wednesday
Thoughts on Domingo Santana?

1:44
Eno Sarris: Hits the ball hard to all fields, has good speed, just a little bit of K weakness. I think he’ll be a starter next year, at some point if not out of the gate.

Diggin’ Grapefruit Sculpin. What to try next?

1:44
Eno Sarris: Dunno if you can get the Modern Times grapefruit zest Fortunate Islands because I liked that better.
