What an exciting group. My projections all have a new floor. Yuniesky has my new low score at -1.8 WAR over 400 odd PA. I’m surprised at how negative that number is, but I don’t disagree with any of the numbers I came up with to get there…Scotty Pods is my new 2nd lowest score at -.5 WAR. Formerly, Jeff Francoeur and Adam Everett shared my title at -.02. Farnsworth (.1) narrowly eeks out JJ Putz (0.0) for not last place on the pitchers side.
Boy, there seemingly sure are a lot of disgruntled Seattle fans out there. I know we all abhor Betancourt, but his projections by the fans here seem really really low. His BABIP last year was 32 points under his career average, and he’s now in a park that doesn’t destroy right-handed hitters. I’m not saying he’s going to be great or anything, but expecting a moderate bounceback from last year’s abysmal showing seems likely.
In Tango’s Fan Projections last season, Royals fans generally described Yuni as average or slightly below. Mariners fans described him as the worst player in baseball. Are the Seattleites right because they were more familiar with the subject, or does familiarity breed contempt?
I’m an M’s fan, so I think Yuni is irredeemably abysmal.
I’m a Royals fan, and all 3 of those players have a negative WAR projection from me. LONG LIVE DAYTON MOORE!
Are the Projections we make supposed to show up in the “My Projections” section?
I have made 15-20 projections for each team, but “My Projections” section is empty…
