In lieu of a book, I think Notgraphs should be developing a “reality” TV series where Carson and Dayn explore the idiosyncrasies of the American pastime: the fans, the reporters, the scouts, the sabr crowd, the players. The show recalls Steinbeck in “Travels with Charley” mixed with the debauchery of Hunter S Thompson reporting on, well, everything and/or Trevor May/Oz Clarke exploring wine culture. Biting humor. Bitter love. Loss. IFC, BBC, et al would be buyers.
It’s be the perfect thing to get you out of a creative rut.
