FanGraphs Audio: Dave Cameron

Episode 178
Managing editor Dave Cameron makes his weekly Monday appearance — this time on a Tuesday. Topics discussed: the sanest possible discussion of the Cole HamelsBryce Harper kerfuffle; the NL East, who Cameron regards as the favorite in it; and Jose Altuve: a franchise player, perhaps, but of how good a franchise?

Not surprised by the “scratch his nuts” comment made by Dave Cameron on this podcast, since as a young adult he watched Norm Charlton pitch for years with the Mariners. Norm was noted for all the “adjustments” he made while on the mound. Some friends and I would have a contest over how many adjustments that Charlton would make from the time he entered the game, through all the warm up pitches, until he delivered the first pitch. Often the total would exceed 10 times.
