We were warned about the change in host, which I believe went swimmingly. But I was simply not prepared for the change to “Spanish Flea.”

What is this crap? Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass and the Hermosillo Percussion?

I am glad to get a podcast of Mr. Cameron regardless of the host, but Dave talked (IMO) like he had a train to catch and was running late. Cistulli does a great job keeping Dave relaxed which makes for a more enjoyable podcast.

It’s sad that Appleman moved him for “cash considerations.”

oh boy, had to stop this after all the hedging over the Hamels return. In what universe is getting 3 top 100 prospects not a great yield for Hamels. Plus a healthy Harrison is a highly functioning SPer, who at worst is signed for a reasonable $13M each of the next 2 seasons. Plus 2 other SP prospects… Wow, let’s just say this was a far better yield for Hamels than Dave Cameron said he’d ever get. Tho who’d really expect to hear a humble Dave?

Cameron decided a year ago, that Phillies (and specially Amaro) can’t get a fair deal for Hamels. After this, some of the Phillies fans really got under Dave’s skin. Actually I’m relieved, that this saga is over and Cameron can close this door for good. It wasn’t the greatest advertisement for analytical approach.

oh and not sure how the Gomez pick up can be both a great pick up for the Astros while also an injury risk the Mets understandably passed on…?
