FanGraphs Audio: Dave Cameron Analyzes Baseball from PHX

Episode 315
It is not necessarily how much baseball FanGraphs managing editor Dave Cameron analyzes in this edition of the podcast, but from where he analyzes it — in this case, from Phoenix, Arizona, home not only to Pool D of the World Baseball Classic, but also the second annual SABR Analytics Conference.

So in other words, he doesn’t crack the 93% barrier today, does he?

I remember when Fangraphs first started doing podcasts. I was really excited given that I have a collection of podcasts I listen to when exercising/doing chores around the house every week.

Unfortunately, the sarcasm/satire is WAAAY over done to the point where instead of some nice comic relief here and there, it overwhelms the conversation entirely.

My suggestions:

1. The podcast, quite simply, needs a heavy injection of pithiness.
2. Quality over quantity.

Love the site, especially dave cameron’s writing/analysis here. I wish the podcasts were of equal quality.

Pardon my ignorance, but is there an RSS link that can be used for the podcasts?

I believe the “Other Feeder Things” link provides what you are looking for.

So the Dark Overlord finally bought out Sean Smith’s blasphemous rWAR. Fangraphs-Reference has a nice ring to it.

Bogaerts is from Aruba. I believe guessing that he is from Curacao leaves with about a 50/50 chance of being right, so good job playing the odds.
