Episode 603
Dave Cameron is both (a) the managing editor of FanGraphs and (b) the guest on this particular edition of FanGraphs Audio, during which edition he examines four scenarios from the postseason this year which, possessing some ambiguity with regard to laws written or otherwise, compel one to exercise his or her judgment.

“If the batter is stupid enough to put his head between the catcher and the pitcher he kind of deserves to get brained.”

This has to be the worlds greatest podcast, yet I am not acquainted with a single soul IRL that could enjoy, besides myself of course. At least to the extent that I could be acquainted with my own self.

I have always felt the same. I’ve been listening to this for years now, and despite my rapid attempts of spreading it’s gospel, I have only been able to convert two 2 different people.

It’s a difficult product to proselytize. Too niche. Most baseball types can’t appreciate the art involved, and most artists can’t appreciate the baseball involved. Would love to see the stats on downloads someday. I don’t even think more than a fraction of the readers of FG even listen to the audio. That’s based only on the commenting. Some articles gets hundreds of comments, but FG audio rarely pulls more than 5-10,, It’s a shame really.

No matter, it shall my own secret precious..

The title of this *edition* of FanGraphs Audio should have been “Dave Cameron Analyzes All Nut-Grabbing.” Because he did.
