We propose the partition of fangraphs.com into one English language site edited by Dave Cameron, and one Yiddish language site edited by Cistulli, with the front page to be administered jointly by the two under the auspices of the United Nations.
We fear that the steady stream of hot Jewish baseball takes emanating from Cistulli will overrun the entire site and lead to civil war unless you act soon.

I have known a handful of professional athletes during my life, and my main observation is that while some of them are pretty normal dudes, they skew heavily into the hyper-competitive a-hole win-at-all-costs type of personality.
The type of person who cries over losing at a video game, or gives 110% at the family thanksgiving football scrum. It is one of the things that bothers me the most when people talk about athletes as “heros”, or get all sanctimonious when one of them is discovered to be a normal human with normal human failings.
These are generally not super amazing well adjusted individuals, a lot of them have a screw or three loose, and on top of this a lifetime of being treated as top dog only reinforces these things.
I have known some good ones too of course, but I am always amused when people seemed shocked to discover that anti-social person X whose main talent is throwing a ball hard and developed that talent through hours of maniacal practice is in fact a a-hole.
personal message to cistulli- love the podcasts, especially how you bring up z.B. leviathan and grains of sugar- all in a baseball context. kiley needs to get off his high horse and embrace your elegant style. these are the best baseball podcasts in existence! sick of hearing him talk about how you are ‘losing the listeners’ or not asking proper questions.. keep up the great work, it is what keeps me going, *especially* your podcasts with cameron.
