Kiley got out of a Moncada-centric podcast? The world is truly full of surprises.
I was scared Carson was going to accidently mixed up “prescription” and “subscription” at around the 7:45 mark. It’s a classic Carson rant where he focuses on an intimate detail of a player, in this case Fulmer’s “spectacles”, and words later says subscription before clarifying he was talking about a cable subscription in the next context.
Oh Carson.
They don’t start actually talking about players on the list until 23 minutes into the podcast. In case that’s why you you’re planning on listening.
I will reply to myself to clarify that this podcast really isn’t much about the actual players on the list (but then, why would it be?… that’s what the list itself is for). It’s actually something of a meta exercise, exploring how a list like this is put together.
It’s not what I was looking for when I tuned it, but I learned some things.
Good stuff.
I actually find alot of the meta stuff more interesting than the players stuff. Feels like a whole new world is being opened to my eyes.
Unless it involves Miguel Sano stories. Miguel Sano stories are the best.
I feel the same way. I always want to know how the sausage is made.
Love Sano, by the way. Have you seen Ballplayer Pelotero? It’s a documentary about Sano’s maturation and then the agonizing process of trying to clear him for international eligibility (it’s actually about two players, but the other guy never made it).
I drafted Sano in my dynasty league when he first became eligible. That guy has been traded around our league for more total muscle than any other league asset. I can’t remember who I got when I moved him, but I won the league that year. Lots of people love to spend their days dreaming on Sano.
The title of this podcast was a big cocktease for SF Giants fans! Come on Kiley we are dying to know how bad the system is.
