FanGraphs Audio: Question Time with Dayn Perry

Episode 171
Each week, the British House of Commons engages in an activity known as Prime Minister’s Questions — or, simply “Question Time” — during which the Prime Minister answers questions posed by members of Parliament. In this episode of FanGraphs Audio, the self-appointed Prime Minister of NotGraphs, Dayn Perry, answers questions posed by the bespectacled readership.

I’d listen but the Orvis Fly Fishing Podcast is teaching me so much about The Effects of the Moon and Barometric Pressure on Fishing with Riding Crops.

I, for one, would like to say thank you for answering my question during the podcast. The neighborhood children (and parents) will surely be delighted as I deliver a dramatic reading from Chapter Six of Reggie Jackson: The Life and Thunderous Career of Baseball’s Mr. October.

It should be noted that Prime Minister’s Questions and Question Time are not one and the same. The former is, as Cistulli outlined, a half-hour parliamentary event every Wednesday at midday where MPs can ask questions of the British Prime Minister. Question Time, on the other hand, is an hour-long current affairs discussion show broadcast on Thursday nights on BBC One involving a panel of MPs and other political types (journalists, pressure group activists etc.) and an audience. That is where the audio drops during the podcast came from; the voice you can hear is that of the Question Time presenter, David Dimbleby.

And I can think of no better name for that of the questioner of Parliament than David Dimbleby.
