The Giants tried to trade for Bartlett, the tried to re-sign Uribe. They were unable to acquire those players. What other options did they have at SS besides Tejada?
Sheesh, talk about a range of varying outcomes (Jason Bartlett-Miguel Tejada)..

Wow, I know life isn’t a Bill Simmons chat or a Vh1 special, but would Dave C. get any references (pop culutre or otherwise) thrown about at a typical party &/or get-together? Never mind that – how does he keep his head above water in the breakroom without people thinking he’s Amish?
Here’s hoping he at least has impeccable musical taste.

Please tell Mr. Fielder that Great Sage in Clarkesville (south of Balt.) is featuring a vegetarian “crabcake” right now. As a 20-year veg who never liked seafood myself, I’m not fond of it, but if Prince Fielder wants to eat vegetarian crabcakes, more power to him (and the O’s, of course). Boog Powell will get over it.

Since both Minor and Beachy impressed last year, as well as this spring the Braves are in a good spot with this. Send Minor down for a month or two for more seasoning and showcase Beachy a bit more at the big-league level for a potential trade. I believe in Beachy more than most, although his fastball is a bit flat. But he’s certainly capable of being a good middle of the rotation type somewhere.
I feel if the Braves and Phillies are neck and neck at the break, Wren’s gonna pull something off to significantly upgrade somewhere, assuming an upgrade is needed. Stephen Drew, perhaps?

Ahh, enough rosterbation from me.
