Dave- What are your thoughts on I.Nova? He takes a lot of criticism in Yankee land but given that he is 24 and has made only 21 carrer starts he seems to show signs of being on effective and durable innings eater. He needs to develop his secondary stuff and improve his command but I think he shows promise of being a decent back end of the rotation guy.

I wish Cover It Live didn’t exist. I can’t imagine a more annoying chat application.
I wish Cover It Live didn’t encourage me to link every post I hover over to facebook (Shifting the text as I hover). That increased the annoying factor by about 1000. Before that, I thought it functioned well enough.

Dave- What are your thoughts on the Yankees handling of H.Noesi? Everything you read about him says he is a legitimate prospect (albeit a back end guy) but they have relegated him to mop up/ long man duty. Then when Colon gets hurt they decide to bring in a 32 yr old journeyman. Puzzling, no?

Dave- Looking at Sabathia’s numbers his line drive rate is up and his K rate is way down. While I love him and definitely want him to be extended, the Yankees have to be careful as to how long a contract they offer. He has thrown a ton of innings over the past 5 years but he has so much leverage on the Yanks. What are your thoughts on his stuff and his future?

Are home runs factored into BABIP? Is any hit not factored (i.e. is it only a measure of what a player’s batting average is on balls that the defense has a chance to make a play on?)
