Referring to your comment at 12:57 “[CoverItLive too expensive..]”, I am struck by the signature at 1:00 that says “The world’s real-time events leader, Free and simple to use.” Somebody is not telling the whole truth here.

I was surprised as well, so I went to their website. A site as popular as Fangraphs would probably need to the $300 a month plan.

I don’t know where Dave gets his comment that “FieldF/X is not a real product yet; it’s just a concept and a work in progress.” The first stadium to have it installed was AT&T Part in San Francisco last year, and the goal was that it would be in every stadium by the beginning of 2012 season.

It may not be in all stadiums yet – doesn’t surprise me – but the fact that it is in place in some stadiums (San Francisco, Oakland, and Kansas City) places it beyond the “concept” stage.

The idea of Anibal Sanchez getting 4/60 is hilarious. Guy is absolutely terrible, he can’t do it in the AL at all. Wouldn’t pay him more than 5-7m on a short term deal, and only in the NL.
