None of the pitchers who made their MLB debuts this year have pitch F/X on this site, except Strasburg. texasleaguers.com has pitch F/X for everyone there.
Interesting. Thanks for the info. Stange, I’ve checked dozen and dozens of pitchers but apparently the only two rooks I checked were Stras and Nova.

How do you build an argument that Cliff Lee is a better Cy Young candidate right now than Francisco Liriano? I’d probably vote for Felix at this point, but if you’re going to go with a purely advanced-rate-stat dude, how could you possibly pick Lee over Liriano?
Color me unconvinced. Point 1 is an interesting novelty, but unless you’re going to tell me that all the advanced stats out there underpenalize walks, I can’t see why it should matter when evaluating overall pitcher quality. If you want historical novelty, you could point out Liriano’s insanely low HR ratio too.
Point 2 is fine as far as it goes. Lee has pitched about 12 more innings on the season.
Point 3 just seems wrong. If Liriano is getting “extra” opportunities to K people by the random chance of a very high BABIP, isn’t he also getting “extra” opportunities to allow walks and HR/FBs? And isn’t he also getting yanked from games earlier than he would otherwise because of all that bad luck on balls in play? And despite about 30 more points of BABIP than Lee, Liriano’s actually pitched to a lower ERA.
Why does FG hate Ivan Nova? No pitch/fx data on him yet and he’s made a number of starts.

1. Lee has a historically good walk rate, whereas Liriano’s is merely good.
2. Lee has averaged well over 7 innings per start.
3. Liriano’s very high babip skews his K/9 rate a little higher than it probably should be, meaning FIP and WAR are probably overstated for him.
All that being said, they’re pretty close in terms of awesomeness. I would give the edge to Lee for point #1.
