FanGraphs+ Is Back for 2015
As the new baseball year starts, we celebrate at FanGraphs by compiling an annual of sorts; we call it FanGraphs+. An equal mix of fantasy analysis and real world breakdowns, our articles in this annual take advantage some of our best resources here at FanGraphs in order to scout baseball players, research topics, and, in general, think about baseball as best we can.
For the non-fantasy player, our 1200 player capsules can serve as gentle prods in the direction of the most interesting aspects of a player’s production. Or for a tickle on a rainy spring day. You don’t have to be interested in fantasy baseball to wonder how the clustering of a pitcher’s release point is correlated to their command peripherals, or how changing a team’s on base percentage affects the individual hitters in the lineup. Eno, when I try to sign up for FG+, it says that I already have an existing active subscription (probably last years). I can see the 2015 player profiles as well so FG+ is active.
I feel like that kid that raises his hand and reminds the teacher that we were supposed to have a quiz today, but you guys deserve my money.
The subscription runs on a yearly basis, so it will last until whenever you purchased it last time. You can always renew when your year is up! 🙂

Good guy Frangraphs, not taking double the money. My grandma has Alzheimer’s, and Readers Digest kept sending renewal letters to her. She ended up with like 37 years’ worth of subscriptions before we noticed.
Any chances we could get some cool new FG t-shirts?
I’ve got an older blue one but can think of nobody I’d rather give $20 in exchange for a form flattering, made in the USA, preferably small t-shirt than the good folks of FanGraphs.

Hey guys. Excited to purchase Fangraphs+, but had a quick question. I feel like I read somewhere that the subscription included access to ESPN Insider articles as well. If that is correct, I was just wondering if that access applies only to articles written by Fangraphs writers, or the rest of the ESPN baseball staff as well. I will be purchasing Fangraphs+ regardless, so I was more curious than anything. Thanks!
The articles we write for ESPN Insider are no longer officially part of FG+, though we will continue to post them in the FG+ area for subscribers as they are published.

You do not.
At the top of this page, there’s a grey bar which says “Log In – Register?” If you have not already registered, do that, and then you’ll see a Secret Insider Screen from which you should be able to create a post, save a draft, and then eventually submit it.
Friendly note! Your submission is final. Find spelling/logic/fact errors before submitting your article. If you do not check carefully, the FanGraphs editors may find the problem, or you may end up with egg-faced. It is common for a day or two to pass before your article is posted. This is the time required by the editors to make sure that your post is not nefarious.
Also, do remember to hit “Submit”. I am not saying this to mock you. I am saying this because the first time I wrote a post, I forgot to hit “Submit” and spent literally months wondering when they’d read my post. Oops.

I’d happily buy any regular Fangraphs writer a beer, but for now, this will do just fine. My only complaint in this body of delightful and excellent work is that Zach’s piece should have been titled, “Spare Me Your Tiers.”
