Auction Calculator In-Season Updates!
The FanGraphs Auction Calculator now calculates in-season values and values off Rest of Season projections.
Some Notes:
- Rest of Season auction value calculations are available for Steamer, Depth Charts, ZiPS, and THE BAT projection systems.
- Dollar values for Rest of Season projections are pro-rated for how many days are remaining in the season.
- In-season auction value calculations are pro-rated for the number of days into the season.
- Positional eligibility for in-season calculations is determined via positions played in 2018. Please adjust your position qualifications accordingly.

Thank you so much for this. One comment I have though is the RoS projections don’t take into account for preseason positional eligibility. For example, Anthony Rizzo and Jose Ramirez have 2B eligibility, a handful of 1B players have OF like Carlos Santana and Matt Olson, Evan Gattis has C eligibility, among others. These can significantly alter the overall value landscape when positional adjustments are calculated.
I don’t think I have a good solution for this at the moment. Often times, leagues will allow for position eligibility at 1 game played in-season. Setting the auction calculator to 1 game will fix some of this, but not always, and doing multi-season position eligibility isn’t a simple fix.
I’ll look into a possible solution, but for the moment it’s just something to work around.
